yeah, such official forums will be filled up with complaints only and would eventually end up closing the forums. I already see that most of the posts are complaints which would be better to be handled through their support system rather than a public forum. Moreover account related information will be seen by others as its a public forum. Its not really a good idea actually. Forums should be independent since its a public discussion board. When it is an "official forum", that independence will be lost and can become too "restrictive". Obviously Reliance officially would not allow some "hot topics" that we already have at rimweb!

It is good to see the new Reliance GSM sub forums, but in the home page (www.rimweb.in) there is mention of CDMA only. How about adding GSM also?

from what I've heard is that the connection is crappy, gets disconnected often and you won't get full speed since it is shared. such plans and pricing still remain a mirage in India.

There is no such "unlocking" for CDMA. You can only "program" it to work with another operator which is referred to "cloning". You can try using the RUIM slot. I remember a topic somewhere to enable the RUIM slot for a data card, try searching for it.

1) It is mainly because of this reason that Reliance is desperate to start GSM service and they are almost ready now. However there is no benefit for the CDMA customer (as handset will remain the same) except that they can switch to Reliance GSM service when MNP is introduced. 2) I guess the service quality level would be the same with GSM service as well. What actually are the issues that you are facing? You need to contact the higher level officials by email rather than *333 for complex issues. 3) I've enabled DND a few months ago, I don't get any pesky calls lately.

Interestingly Reliance Communications website is missing from the list of AirTel, Vodafone, BSNL, TATA INdicom, MTNL, etc. So it does look like they have preferred to nominate Rimweb over Reliance Communications! Wise move!

Its not in start but right in the middle of download say after 40% downlaod i got 18KBPs Such spikes can happen in the middle of a download as well. Nothing unusual in it, unless you are getting constant speed.
