Dear Friends, It will not affect India as same as US, but now we indians should want to think that whether we need to follow westeners. Now westerners are following Indian's traditions, family relations, cultures etc. But almost Indians are forget this and they follow westerner's culture. Most of this happens because of IT Techies over confidence and over expenditures. Because of that They TECHIES now facing the Global crisis as job cutting, reduction of salary, get together, etc. Recently I read an article about these Techies in Bangalore in Grihalakshmi, a malayalam magazine. I feel ashamed about them. Without any hesitation, they are spending money without looking their earnings, taking credit and loans from banks etc. The same happened in US also. Thats the main reason for the Global Financial Crisis. Spend less than what we earn. that is my policy. I'm not blaming all Techies; there is more groups involved like NRI,s business man etc. Why our government not reducing the price of fuel? If they reduce the fuel price, then food prices also will go down. then GDP will increase. Here is the link about IT Techies. But I'm sorry it is in malayalam Language... Note: I'm not blaming all Techies.... Visit to the Website

Dear Tanveer, Please see the attached diagram how Wimax works. Wimax can provide VoIP technology also. Its main advantage is No Line of Sight required between Base station and Customer Premises Equipment. One base station coverage area should be maximum 50km depending upon the frequencies used by operators. Most commonly used bandwidth is 3.5 or 3.6 Ghz. If I'm correct, WiMAX can provide mobile service using VoIP but I think nobody is providing this service now. If you want more details regarding WiMAX, I'll post WiMAX fundamentals book on here. But after getting permission from moderators whether I can post ebook on our beloved rimweb or not. thanks Santhosh

The Videocon Group has announced its plans to launch its DTH platform by October-end. Videocon claims it will invest Rs 1000 Crores in the venture over 2 years. The platform has been named "D2H" and will be launched by Videocon group company Bharat Business Channel Ltd. 6 Ku Band transponders have already been booked through SingTel. The company will use MPEG-4 compression and plans to deliver 200 channels from its 6 transponders. The MPEG-4 STBs will be manufactured by Videocon, from its Aurangabad plant. Irdeto will provide the encryption technology. D2H is being headed by Anil Khera who was earlier in charge of Videocon's Sansui and Kelvinator brands. "We have taken six Ku-band transponders on SingTel's ST-1 satellite. We are investing Rs 10 billion over two years and are launching the DTH service by October-end," Khera is reported to have told the press. Khera also confirmed that the service will be uplinked from Greater Noida. But no channel details for videocon d2h in lyngsat.com http://www.scatmag.com/news1.htm#videocon

Thanks Akshat So for middle east indians, there is a hope to get more channels within one dish. Now for BIG tv and TATA sky dealers are charging a huge amount that will come around 13000/- indian rupees. We can bring the activated receiver from India and just install dish with LNB to get package from videocon???? I hope....... Thanks

New 2938 (g+c) Handset From Coolpad
santhoshavanoor replied to satish babu's topic in Other handsets
Dear Sathish Babu, As related to the new warning from our intelligence agencies regarding the IMEI no of chineese mobiles, does coolpad have any related problems with their identity? I think coolpad also imported from China. Also I have some doubt about spice mobiles. I'm using spice C810, and found some serial numbers and software/hardware datas. Anyway this handset looks perfect. but at least to adopt 3G system on your mobiles. Can you please post full technical specification for the product. I clicked on your link, but it is not working and now I'm searching in yulong.com to find the product. Does coolpad supports Java or Sis? Santhosh -

santhoshavanoor replied to HetalDP's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
^^^ My dear Santhosh, their is a technology available from VANU INC. They are already in talks with Gsm Operators to use the same CDMA technology to provide GSM services. For more details you can read the below mentioned thread. http://www.rimweb.in/forums/index.php?showtopic=15278 Regards. Dear Honest, I go thru the thread, and in my understaing, they will change the head end equipment for operators. But what about our CDMA handsets? after changing their software, shall they can flash our handsets thru air so we can accept gsm signals? -
Nice work yaar. Last year I have purchased Moto Z3 for a price of Rs.7000/- and now it costs Rs. 5000/-. Prices of electronics slashes down, but what about the prices of food items???? We should want to eat electronics gadgets...

End Of Cdma / Evdo For Telus And Bell In Canada
santhoshavanoor replied to HetalDP's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
It is not possible. No CDMA player will exit CDMA but I belive CDMA will be catering to the needs of pure voice segment as it is more cost effective. Also CDMA player will have advantage of lower infrastructure cost of their GSM. Ok, you are right, but because CDMA & GSm required two different operations, will they bear the operational cost? They can use the same infracture which is their advantage. Somebody should want to invent the technology that possible to use the CDMA/GSM with same frequency with code/Time division global system for mobile communications. CTDGSM!! We can dream!! Ha ha ha -
End Of Cdma / Evdo For Telus And Bell In Canada
santhoshavanoor replied to HetalDP's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Dear Friends, If Rcom swapped CDMA to GSM, then our CDMA handsets will become toys for our children. We can retain our number, but we cannot retain our handsets. Do anybody knows that any research has been going on to convert CDMA to GSM or vice versa? I think it can't be happen. so we will loose or handsets and money. -

Dear Friends, I'm residing in a village and there is no coverage for reliance mobile. Before I'm using LG handset and have an external antenna to improve the signal quality. But now I purchased Spice C-810 and want to use CDMA signal repeater (Wireless). Can anyone have idea from where I can purchase this antenna in India or how much is the price for that. I searched in Internet and found too much repeaters. But if we need to purchase, we need to import it from China. Thanks Santhosh

Hi friends, I tried to build the antenna, but it is not working. May be we need signal booster between the antenna. anyway I'm trying to build another type, if I won, then surely I will post the same in this thread. Thanks -
Cdma Signal Repeater
santhoshavanoor replied to santhoshavanoor's topic in General Technical Discussion
Hi, Friends, I tried to build the antenna by myself, but no improvement in signal. It is not practical. Either we required a signal booster or repeater. I have contacted Reliance and they told me that within 4 months they are installing new cell site in our village. I'm waiting for that. Or if there is number portability implicated, then I'll choose other operator. Or another chance, if Govt. issued spectrum for WiMAX, then reliance can improve their signal strength. -
