New Dual-Sim, Touchscreen Handset From Samsung
santhoshavanoor replied to FEVIN-RAJ's topic in Samsung
But who knows that samsung is doing the same as Indian mobile companies are doing? and selling for high price because they have a brand name? Now Videocon have entered in market; that are also cheap; though they are also rebranding (or may be re assembling) the chineese mobile? But Videocon mobiles looks like good quality one. In Samsung B5722, no 3G, no Wifi, no GPS. -
Mobile Users May Soon Get To Post Complaints On Trai Website
santhoshavanoor replied to Himanshu Singh's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
I think you haven't read the full post, or If you have did, you think differently !! Every buddy have their own opinions. Its like giving you 1rs and taking 2rs from you. Mobile Users May Soon Get To Post Complaints On Trai Website
santhoshavanoor replied to Himanshu Singh's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
A good move from TRAI. But TRAI is acting as a post office. That is not good. Which operator would like to charge for the customer care centre number? Defenitly from the next month once they implemented the charges, they will be out from the market. Why the operators are thinking like this? We will see whehter TRAI will approve operator's proposal. -

Nokia Triggers Google, Introduces Free Navigation Service With Smart Phones
santhoshavanoor replied to Mukeshlst's topic in General Technical Discussion
^^^ I did not get this part ? First they will give everybody free usage of navigation as promotional offer. later we should want to pay for it. Until now they are charging for the navigation on Ovi maps, suddely they are offering it free. Whats the reason? Did they want to compete Google maps and Garmin Maps? Thats why I said like that. -
Nokia Triggers Google, Introduces Free Navigation Service With Smart Phones
santhoshavanoor replied to Mukeshlst's topic in General Technical Discussion
A good move from Nokia. I have upgraded my OVI maps to version 3.03 in my 5800 Xpress Music and really amazing Nokia offering free voice guidance navigation..... Before we need to pay for the voice guidance navigation and I havn't used OVI maps because of the charge, I have used Garmin maps . Now everything is free in OVI maps. But be aware may be Nokia expecting some from the users.. who knows... -

Person Killed In Mobile Battery Explosion
santhoshavanoor replied to savramesh's topic in The Lounge
Really Sad news. My hearty condolense to his family. But 5000Kv HV line? I think in India we have maximum 400KV Transmission only. People should want to think that the electromagnetic waves from the HV line is more dangerous than the mobile signals. There are too many people living under the HV lines. Some studies shows that the electromagnetic waves generated by HV lines can cause skin cancer and other brain related diseases. Government should want to aware our people. -
I have done it.

Bsnl Allows Skype/fring
santhoshavanoor replied to kesav's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Why? First thing that a mobile phone is not the property of mobile operators if it is not coming with handset offers from mobile operators. Second thing that now a days all mobile phones are coming with WLan or WiFi facility. So it is easy to use fring/skype thru mobile than laptop. Thrid is that if anybody is using fring/skype thru a 3G network(not thru Wifi), mobile operator can get money from that. so it is not a good idea to block fring/skype in mobile. Technology is growing, so we also should want to live with that. -
Ok, Thanks Kesav, Now I understand OMH and RUIM differences.
-
I havn't done a study on OMH and RUIM. Can you please give me the comparison of these two?

Karbonn Leaves Its Print On The Handset Market
santhoshavanoor replied to savramesh's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
It is good to hear that one Indian company is achieving more strength in the Indian mobile market. Now Karbonn should want to focus on that they should produce all components in India, Provide Wifi, 3G, and new efficient and simple operating system so a normal person can operate it. There is one major drawback for Karbonn is that we can't use their PC software to connect Karbonn mobiles with PC. Do anybody knows how to do it? -
Shall I can start a mobile manufacturing company in India?

Indians In Uae To Benefit From New Mobile Remittance Scheme
santhoshavanoor replied to savramesh's topic in The Lounge
Thats a nice move. But here in Bahrain, Zain Mobile have been introduced this type of money exchange on last year, I think 3 months before. Please see the link. Zain Me2U Wallet. But I think nobody is utilizing this cause they should want to transfer their salary to the zain account, means they want to change their existing account. I'm not using this facility. But in UAE I don't know how much ETISALAT can get the business. -

Nokia Dual Sim Mobiles Soon
santhoshavanoor replied to pasumark's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
NOKIA CORPORATION is avery very nice company.. It has given replacement battery for the whole batch as replacement, when it suspected a few batteries of the batch has problem.. I have got 5 new batteries BL-5C 1020mAh for the old BL-5C 970mAh batteries for FREE (All for my staff's Nokia2112 phones given by me).. But KEEP AWAY FROM THE NOKIA CARE guys and even Priority (their rates are highest) ones too... But now a days all companies are replacing the faulty components generated by their own manufacturing problems. Not only Nokia is doing that. Acer also doing that. Please check the link. Acer Service & Support . So nokia knows that if they will change the batteries, they should want to appear in consumer court, each and every company have a fear on that. I agree with you that Nokia corporation is a nice company, but not very very nice....
