  1. I just took the 650 bucks for 1 gb scheme and they dont have any mechanism to let the user know how much data he has used up
  2. Reliance May Follow Net Price Reduction!

Net Access through BSNL now costs 7.30 am to 10.30 pm - 9.60 per hour 10.30 pm to 7.30 am- 4.80 per hour ( also on sundays and 3 national holidays) Net charges during come to around Rs. 5 per hour and free at nights / sundays Reliance is quickly ceasing to be an option , except for the very mobile people who wish to access the net through their own machines ( otherwise net cafe's are cheaper but too insecure )
  3. Gmail Drive

GMail Drive is a Shell Namespace Extension that creates a virtual filesystem around your Google GMail account, allowing you to use GMail as a storage media. GMail Drive creates a virtual filesystem on top of your Google GMail account and enables you to save and retrieve files stored on your GMail account directly from inside Windows Explorer. GMail Drive literally adds a new drive to your computer under the My Computer folder, where you can create new folders, copy and drag'n'drop files to. Gmail Drive
  4. How Do We Calcuate The Usage ?

The best software I have come across to keep track of bandwidth usage ( upload / download ) is DU Meter 3.5 ( www.dumeter.com ) , its a paid software though, but if you're resourceful, u can get a full version
  5. Can we expect change In RConnect Rental?

I am a DAPO R Connect user since May 03 and in the latest bill i got pasted with a 200 rupees R Connect charge. I talked to the help desk and got a few clarifications. It seems now if you do *4120 and then reactivate your R Connect, it will put you by default into the "Subscription free" Rs. 1/ minute plan. And if you do activate the R Connect subscription charges ( which i presume require you to talk to the helpdesk and get it specifically activated ) the full charges are now applicable for the whole month at one go even if you deactivate the service . Makes me wonder what im gonna do with my 400 minutes of talk time now. Anyone got any suggestions on weather i should switch to a prepaid scheme .
  6. I followed up the case, went to the Customer Care executive at the main town office of RIM and told them what happened, they were all sympathies , so I told them im not leaving till I see what he's going to do about it , so he called up the collection agency and told them of the complaint and told them to remove me from their list and the exec. assured me that the calls wont occur again. Hopefully, else as Chirag suggested , I'll write to the CEO's office.
  7. I am based in Allahabad, and my area's bill collection agency ( M/s Abhishek Communications ) called me up yesterday and told me i had a bill that was due, the whole call was made in a way so that it seemed that the bill was overdue and I should pay immediately. I am yet to recieve the bill by mail. On my seeking clarification as to when the bill was due to be paid, I was told that its pay by date was somewhere in september ( the date would be atleast 2-3 weeks from now ) and that i should "make sure I pay my bill within the date " . The tone this was delivered in sounded made it sound like a threat and an ultimatum. I asked the calller to not call me up in the future , as i get a copy of the bill and pay my bills in time, and their calls are rude and unwarrented, but i get told that she will not remove me from the calling list and i will continue to get calls. Having been a customer of Reliance since May 2003 with a DAPO connection, I have been having these kinds of collection calls since the last few months. I have in the past told M/S Abhishek Communications to take me off their call list atleast 3-4 times and they insist on calling and threatening. ( Apparently there is a 1% commission on the collection in time and these losers try to armtwist the customers into paying up even before the bill has been delivered the customers. I hope Reliance Customer care take note that this kind of behaviour is only damaging their image and not the collection agency's ) Can someone advise me as to what to do in this case. I am going to find out the customer service incharge's number for Allahabad and see what comes off it .
