thanks a ton for that schumi..i got my handset too today at 16600, its in a silver-grey colour loks really neat..i think the camera is gr8..one small hitch is that whn i use the nokia pc suite i am unable to view messages, in fact in he phone browser when connected to the PC the Messages option does not show at all..any suggestions if this cant be resolved i think this wil b the only -ve of this phone, hence hopin it is resolvable! other than this i think this baby is worth the price...really good phone

well my dealer said the delay is due to the sim card slot given in this phone, but this phone should be launched by tomorrow at the latest...i hope this information is true.

A lot of phones have PTT but this service is not provided by most service providers...for e.g. Hutch had started it a long time ago...but they realised that they hardly make any money out of it...so its better if people call each other instead of using PTT so they stopped providing this service, really doub if reliance will provide it...the price of this handset will be around 16k..so dont pay attention to prices like 7-8k

schumi has given the most precise information on the launch delay (yet again!!!) reliance has not disabled any features in this phone so no worries people...now just wait till we get our hands on this handset and then v can start discussing the additional s/w and goodies that we can install in this phone

just spoke to a dealer who says R-world and R-connect is active in this phone, not sure of video camera yet..will find out soon n relay the information

well the wait is truly over ...my dealer called n he's getting my handset either late evening today or latest tomo morning ...if anyone gets the handset kindly update ur feedback here for all of us to see ...and by the way if you call *333 even now they will say that they have no information!!!!!

Well from the same link i found this in the comments section "the world's largest mobile phone maker, said it would stop making phones using the CDMA standard and had scrapped plans to produce them with Japan's Sanyo Electric Co. (6764.T). The Finnish company said on Thursday it would pull out of CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) phone manufacturing, which it sees as a shrinking market in the longer term. It will continue to offer Nokia-branded CDMA handsets, made by contract manufacturers, in North America where the standard is popular" which means like many GSM handsets that do no have the country of manf on them but just one statement stating "made by nokia" we will get CDMA handsets that are "Made by Nokia" If Reliance is taking so long to just launch a handset i think it is time we move out of CDMA and stick to GSM phones where the choice of handsets is really wide!

When this thread started it was expetced that Relinace will launch this phone "in the near future", it has now been 11 months n there is no launch yet!!! so on the same lines the switching over from CDMA to GCM in near future will take ages...so dont get your hopes too high about this switch!!

naa..its no match for nokia...no extendable memory..no bluetooth or infra red and it costs Rs 21,999 !!! not done...i'd rather buy nokia 6255...

a similar handset by samsung?? thats good news!!! atleast tell us the model number n launch date...

so do u know how to do it? or do u know someone who can do it if yes we can import a few handsets for some members who need this quick enuf to take the risk....

wish there was some way where we could import these handsets n get them to work on reliance network...if we can do that for GSM phones y not for CDMA??!! any answers??

Just called *333 they said its launced today but m not sure bout it...will go to the outlet and check what they've released...cant trust the ppl at CSD thye r usually too confused to help!!!

hi guys, m new to this forum, but was reading it all as i am interested in the 6265 too, i just spoke to one of the sales/mrktg guys in reliance who happens to be a friend and she said they expect to launch it this month sometime for sure and also that the price may be around 12k as they dont want it to be too pricy, the only thing is that as long as 6255 is still in stock 6365 may be priced a bit higher! lets hope for the best
