Reliance Rectified 1Mb Gprs(Netconnect) Disconnection Problem.
Rishikesh replied to shan1212's topic in Data services
How do you subscribe and get settings for netconnect in RGSM? Reliance has made a mess of things...too many types of internet access! -
You mean to say...i use the rcomwap apn...activate the mobile internet plan and change the apn to rcomnet?

I have a windows mobile based handset and tried calling *333 and 30336363 but those morons have absolutely no idea about the windows mobile thing! I then sent an email to the cc and i got a call from them! I was told that the windows mobile plan will be activated on my prepaid gsm no, i was given the settings and all. That was over a week back and I am still waiting for it to work! Reliance overtly complicated this gprs thing but diving it into so many types....damm idiots!

Is it possible to recharge the prepaid gsm numbers online? I have asked the CC but they say its not possible yet. Registering on myservices.reliceada.com does give an option to rechrage online but it has never worked so far. Has anyone tried it?

Does anyone know how to activate this windows mobile plan for a gsm prepaid no? I have tried calling 30336363 but they refuse to give out any information and the *333 keep talking about mobile internet plans.

You can use you the rcomwap settings to surf the net on your pc. Atleast i have been able to do with my windows mobile based phone. First connect to the net on the phone. Then (assuming you have a windows mobile based phone) select the internet sharing option in the phone. Connect the phone to the pc/laptop. Open the browser you use (i use IE). In IE under tools ---> internet options ----> connections ----> lan settings ---> enter the proxy server details i.e proxt server 10.239.221.5 and port 8080. And now you are set to browse the net. However remember to remove the proxy settings when you want to use a different net connection. I have a prepaid connection, but somewhere it says that a postpaid RGSM connection doesnt require proxy settings, is that true?

I have been using OctroTalk as a Gtalk client for windows mobile. It used to work perfectly for me on my IDEA GPRS but it doesnt work with RGSM GPRS because of the use of proxy by RGSM. Which other Gtalk clients are there which can be used with proxy and RGSM GPRS? PS : I have a RGSM Prepaid sim Thanks

What problem are you facing ? The steps are simple : 1.Get connected to the Nokia PC suite using Bluetooth or Data cable 2.Goto Backup in Nokia Pc suite 3.Then click on Restore and select the Nokia 6255 backup from the list. Please describe what exactly you are trying to do and what problem are you facing. I am connecting the 6265 using the DKU-2 cable the phone is detected within pc suite...but when i use the restore option and select the backup made from the 6255...it says no backup found and doesnt proceed further...

Answers to ur queries 1) the media players do not have fast forward or rewind feature> 2) The sms can be stored in UIM (capacity 150) and/or in the phone (approx 20MB for the gallery). i haven't been able to find a way to store the sms into the mini sd card. 3) yes, individual nos. can be assigned ringtones. Any software available which can be used for the FF n RR thing?
-
