I'm getting the same problem as fghosh - only his suggested howto to solve the problem I can't figure out.
I have no problem surfing in windows, but the r-connect software refuses to detect the modem at dev/ttyS0, which is where it is. (COM1) - windows can vouch for that.
I have the LG wireless phone I forget the model no. now - anyway, t is not a mobile, and the cable provided is a serial cable.
I'm using Mandrake 9.0, kernel 2.4.something-mdk
Please help - I hate using windows and it is also virus ridden - can't get work done.
