Me waiting for my handset, I anticipate to recieve the same before end of day today, however wouldnt be surprised if I dont get it today. Yesterday only 1 shipment of few handsets arrived in Mumbai which was obviously taken up by the Dealers themselves. A new shipment is expected to arrive today in mumbai from Nokia - Pune and 1 from Nokia - Chennai. Also 6265i is not launched in India and will not be launched very soon. Also if you see the NOkia website there is no major difference between the 2. Cheers, Chirag

As schumi rightly said, We all are with Reliance even though after knwing that we cannot change handsets. YOu know for 16000, you can geta good nokia handset with all most all features of 6265 and get a new GSM connection as well....But most of us dont want to do that. Specially people like me. I have DAPO scheme which is Unlimited SMS free to any network throughout India and I have onnet pack of 75 bucks per month which gives me calls to any Reliance mobiles free within Maharshtra and Goa....Guys what else can we ask? No other service provider has such tariffs. About 6265, I am also expecting my handset on Monday, but as all are saying there will be a shortage I am expecting latest by Tuesday. Once I have it will post the actual review for sure. Fingers crossed and waiting to see that smart piece in my hands..... Cheers, Chirag

We all are really busy discussing about Tata Launched this and this one launched this....I agree we all are frustrated because this 6265 is not being launched. My request is "is there any one from top management from ADAG to have a look at this section?" People are waititng since long for this handset and I am sure there are 1000's of others who must be waiting who dont know about this website....why is there a Delay? Which reliance employee is using this phone since last one month?? Gimme some good news man!! When is this phone being launched? This Topic started in july 2005 and its July 2006? But still no one knows the date....Even if one person frustrated like us would have been working with reliance then we would have got the confirmed news..... My request if anyone working for reliance then kindly try to get the dates...Really very frustrated.I checked all websites of GSM services Including Dolphin, but no plan is Like DAPO and no one has onnet pack (Reliance to Reliance free Unlimited)...else would have switched to GSM 2 weeks back.... Even if They know they wont disclose it. These things are highly confidential, and also what if they announce a date and they are not able to launch it? No company will ever disclose the dates of launch. The news from reliable sources I have is its ready to be launched anytime now. Testing is over. Reliance as usual must be working to bar some features and add some features like R world...Also this must have been completed. They wont launch it untill they are sure to go ahead and handover with all the features available. Lets wait. I agree its delayed a lot....but wish we could produce our own handsets and use it. Best would be when RUIM card would be introduced similar to SIM card.... Cheers, Chirag

Yes. Reliance is planning to launch GSM service parrallel to existing CDMA. Also, I visited one Reliance Web World today to ask about the lauch of 6265 and they told me that they don't have any information. Thats for sure, That reliance will continue both the services, Infact If I 've understood Reliance strategy well, They will come out with schemes where CDMA customers will be encouraged to stick with CDMA services at the same time the current GSM customers will be encouraged to go for Reliance GSM. The only thing I am worried about is, If I get a 6265, and Reliance launches GSM in a period of next 6-8 months, Then Many would like to switch over to GSM, However what to do with CDMA handset?? Theres No resale value. Can anybody attempt to solve this issue for me?? Also once 6265 is launched, I am sure they will come out with next Highend phone very soon, keeping in mind the features which are missing in 6265. Eg. Real one player... I dont mind paying 15000, but would not like to pay such amount and get dissapointed by the Launch of GSM Services or another High end phone.... The only confirmed news I have is, 6265 is done with Testing phase and is ready to be launched anytime. They are also planning to Launch some Monsoon Hungama again...

But this is confirmed that It will be launched and expected price range will be around 15 to 17000. I agree the features are good, besides the Real one player which is not there in 6265. I dont know whether will Nokia come up with Real one player later on coz Real format is nowadys becoming very popular with mobile videos...I hope reliance does not block the company given features.

Like others even I am tired of using handsets of LG and Samsung. Want to try out this so called 6265, but no idea when wil it be launched.......neways I have compared 6265 with N91 and N90.
