Even in banglore, tata docomo is the worst. even with full signal i donot get calls often, and 6/10 outgoing calls gets dropped off. gprs connects, but data transfer barely happens (even on 3G)

Everyone must have known the Fords small segment car - Ford Figo. its been 1 year since its in market. We booked a car, had several issues with delivery. like the dealer ship agreed to register the car, but hide papers and gave delivery without registration... like that lots of small small issues with dealer ship.. About the car it was no less... The car we got was faulty in its engine and secondly with its circuit... lots of issues and unpleasant experiences... Ok skipping that, coming to the present situation You might have seen the ford figo advertisement hyping the bluetooth connectivity. It has option to connect your phone via bluetooth. Its awesome but buggy. Everytime you end a call, the player starts playing music (no matter previously you were listening to music or not ). The irritating part is, even if someone gives you a miss call, my player starts playing music. Sometimes if i stop my car while talking on phone, and lock car and go, the player starts playing music inside shed. I would know only when am back or security giving me an alert that I have forgot to turn of music pathetic. I complained this to dealers, they said this is how it functions in all cars they have seen. Then again raised a complaint with Ford customer care, they never responded. I was thinking about leaving the idea about using the bluetooth option at all. Finally before giving up, i sent an email to ford india official who had helped us with our previous issues. He passed on the query and someone called up. He said they havent received much complaints from customers for this bug, still they will try to resolve this bug within 4 months or so.. For me, i have a lot of guys around my network, who has the same issue within Ford figo music player. Are there any figo owners in forum who has this issue with their player ?

yes boss... replacement car was infact despatched directly from factory to my location, that was faulty too... isnt this enough for a new customer to go crazy ?

@racoon I dint mean they should drive outsite showroom, even inside showroom they drive many times from workshop to front and vice versa. even without driving they should have checked for steering fluid leaks. this was not something that happened bcz of my driving, within 5 mtrs an issue means it was already there before car was given to me. and ya i did demand a replacement, fought for it, got a replacement after a long long struggle, a new car infact, and funny part is even the replacement car was faulty... it was a big time mess...

@reccoon I blamed dealership for the reason, they dint even drive the car for 1 meters as predelivery inspection. if they did drive and if they did notice the issue, they dint care to check why steering was tight. my steering was tight right from 5 meters from showroom(i noticed then). 5mtrs is too short a travel. The issue cause can be because of poor quality manufacturing or some related things BUT the issue that I as a customer had to face it, can be because of the poor pre-inspection done before delivering the vehicle

nice to see your reply varun :-), yes even am on diesel titanium.. my car displayed issues within 5 mts of showroom on delivery date... the steering fluid burst ? thats the worst experience that anyone could get on a new car.. that explains that they havent checked properly before delivery. this can be an issue with dealership or maybe the build quality of the company manufacturing unit. I have had so many initial unpleasant situations with dealers as well as the car built quality, so much that am tired deciding Ford. Again the bug of music player adds to it. The main reason why i choose Figo from Polo is the player connectivity in built in it. And that itself turned out to be soo buggy... @ chitshare i know about team-bhp. I will surely post it there, infact i have read a lot of online members posting same bug. As per what they have told me, the bug resolution is already started. The timeframe given is around 4 months for the new player to be released (as promised) and after which all can have the bug fixed on their players.

As far as i know that is just a TRAI "recommendation" so far, not yet a regulation / rule or anything of that sort.

You cant trust reliance, I have been paying on for stupid VAS activations(activated without my consent) for past 6 months until this MNP came. I came to know only when it is charged on my account and they would never adjust or waive it off.

Its being sold @ 12000 in ebay india and being sold @ 11000 (converted price) in ebay international sites. Despite company advertising @ 5000rs, we dont see a similar pricing at sales anywhere in this world Even this stuff rebranded as Tmobile comet is being sold @ $249(lowest price in ebay). Searching in google couldnot find any sites open for sales @ around $150-200.

In EDGE incoming call do get engaged tone, I dont know if its the case only with airtel. Wimax means having two radio on at the same time, so its possible even on wifi, I know my friend using wifi services in ahmedabad while on move and he is very happy just because of the reason that he get voice data simultaneously. 512 kbps to 2 mbps data plans on wifi on spidigo are very cheap. Let me just clear this. In EDGE itself there is support for both voice and data simultaneously. For eg. nokia Eseries as well as N series some handsets ON airtel network supports data as well as voice. I have personally confirmed this. This works when both device as well as network supports it. In india so far I have seen only Airtel supporting such a stuff.

Hai, if there is any android developer or somebody good with java, help me out with this app... Years back when bulk sms was just starting up, i had made a bulk sms app for a media firm. Dint have much personal interest in it. Later then i modified it and used it for sending sms using now sms gateway software on my pc && with an addition of archiving my inbox Well leaving history.. well in android i am trying to make up an application which can sync up and down with my web app. -- an sms sent from web, gets sent from my phone -- my inbox gets archived in web with just a button click -- incoming sms updated instantly on web -- auto response to some keywords. like you have shortcode stuff I am not verry well versed in java or android programming, but i try out tuts and know scratches here and there. So far the development has been till here -- coded to fetch sms from my web app based on user login one by one and send it through phone. -- coded to listen for incoming sms and post it immediately to web app for archiving. The problem arises when there is no internet connectivity when an sms comes, i dont get an idea to queue things up. In my web app i already have code to import sms to inbox from Android(mmssms.db) as well as nokia pc suite(csv format) but i need some thing to have the file posted to my web app to have it processed. Why develop such an app? nothing much, just that i need an app tailored for my requirement. Also this can be pretty usefull for ppl like me who do a bit of r&d with phone and sms is of major concern to me. this way i can keep my sms updated in web and access it from anywhere + convinience of sending from web + sms sent is also archived + sync down the sms back to mobile (no idea as of now) + run automated stuff based on keywords (not yet coded)

I am getting DTM support in Nokia E63 and airtel connection. The same airtel sim on htc magic doesnt allow simulataneous data and voice. Then again i applied the below link settings. Even then it doesnt work out. I beleive android supports DTM, i had found the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=5192785 Anybody has got this working ?

The information there cannot be used to check whether it is active or not. The date that is shown there is only the date of first time application upload. Say you changed your plan recently or you had reactivated the service recently, then the service would take again 45 days to activate from the plan change date or reactivation date. But this date wont reflect in the government site. so its pretty of no use to us.

This is mainly not because airtel is purposely doing fraud, the problem is lack of security in the setup. Anybody with a pc and airtel connection can fake the msisdn with simple tools and download contents on account of any airtel number(through wap sites). This happened because somebody else has put a mobile number to download these contents and that number happened to be yours. Airtel can sure find out the person by pulling out logs from which gprs account the pages were processed.

In airtel broadband although they advertise 10-6. I get from 9.40 to 6.30. Also Airtel is far better than TATA Indicom in terms of service. I have both, but service of airtel is faster. Downtimes can occur with any broadband but the factor is how they resolve. Airtel is cheaper with good quality in service.
