What exactly does *488 do Ashok ? Well i am not sure whether it is 488 Actually i was given a no like this when i applied to change my rim no.. After a few days i tried entering the no again, they gave me that time to know wat happens now That time i got this message

Did you try twice ? I mean the first time it shows a error.. Second time it works.. --- Try restarting the phone and use it. --- See the settings in Bitpim

I think just renaming the file to .mid will do.. bcz it is in midi format only. Jus that its formatted to 4112 bytes If this doesnt work.. Open the file in psmplayer.. Goto File > Create Midi And save the file.

No they dont allow upgradation of b/w handset to another b/w handset

Some sites use cell connections as a gateway.. They pay some fixed amount to the operator as kind a agreement to get Unlimited SMS or any no of package... In another way, if you can have a talk with the operator, you will get a 4 no assigned to you for providing some valuable service (like 8888, 8242)..

Wat he meant was to buy a cdma reliance compatible phone of your choice and clone your existing connection into the new one.. Thats not a legal upgradation i suppose, still its worth an alternative
