You just have to install the USB - > Serial converter driver which i think is available for download with Reliance Then a new COM port will appear, which transmits data to your USB pretending as a COM port.. In Bitpim, Select Edit > Settings In that select the Com port which was installed by the driver Tats it.. Now follow the steps in the tutorial by ngcoders RD-2030 Ringtone Tutorial User "Chandramauli" was able to do this way.. Maybe anyone having USB, can say anything more..

If its the problem with dormant, then i think someone has already mentioned this.. goto Start > Run Type ping xxxxx -t Replace the xxxxx with any site address for eg. rediff.com This wont take of much bandwidth..

I too had my phone laminated.. It costed me Rs 30 here.. There are various advantages.. 1) The dusts are not sticky to the cover compared to the usual ones... 2) After lamination, they remove only a small part to uncover the metal part where the battery terminal, so that you can charge your phone.. The rest remains laminated and hence prevents your cell from scratches while struggling with a Desktop Charger 3) Its better than some bulky covers.. Also you dont need to walk out searching for a suitable cover for your phone model Disadvantages: 1) Cut your nails properly, or else you have change the cover often 2) To remove battery or anything like tat, you have to break the lamination.

Yeh it takes a lot of time compared to Desktop charger... Desktop chargers are usually for fast charging purpose.. Travel chargers are handy but take more time..

Hey niket, you got samsung na.. Try entering the command (at#pmode=1) given by static using Hyperterminal connected to your phone.. Then if it returns OK, open Bitpim and try accessing the file structure

Sorry mods to discuss this here.. Since he asked.. Hi maniktushar, Psmplayer or Winamp wont play the file with dat extension.. Usually while using rformat.exe, you give the output file as filename.dat and therefore the output file is created as filename.dat But if you give the extension as .mid also there wont be any problem.. If you are giving .mid extension then you can hear the tone properly in Winamp and Psmplayer.. There is no difference happening in the inside file data.. Also you dont need to change the filename or extension back to .dat to overwrite the file in Bitpim.. If the ringtones you download from here are in .dat extension, rename it to .mid to hear it in Winamp or Psm Player

It sure does show the image files.. Btw, You dont have access through R-Connect.. Hi, For each phone model, it downloads a different R-World, it downloads differently.. The menus and programs are not the same for all.. I am saying this bcz when u see the files downloaded through Bitpim, most of them contains link names ending with Phone Model.

No Boss !! Even version 6 of Bitpim tries to connect twice and then only displays the file structure.. You can notice that when you see the log.. The only difference is that, In the later versions of Bitpim it displays a Msgbox of the error after the first trial. Whereas in the version 6, it jus continue trying the second time without showing any errors..

All of you trying Bitpim wont get connected at the first click... I mean everytime you start Bitpim, you have to try twice to get the file structure... It takes a lot of time.. This is wat i found a day before as per the log i saw in Bitpim ( nothing huge ) Open hyperterminal and make a connection to your com port where your phone is connected.. Then type AT$QCDMG to get the phone in DM Mode.. Now try Bitpim, it reads the file structure in the first try itself.. Maybe this wont give much change in effort for 1 time use.. But for me it seems to be useful, than waiting for Bitpim to detect not knowing wats happening

The part i was confused about was whether the sound would be clear enough if we connect a pin from headset jack to tape recorder.. or does it need any kinda amplifier or something like that? I dont have much info on the amplifying stuffs and sounds.. tats y
