i took my connection on monsoon hungama offer and changed to pioneer offer.. and now i have sms free.. Many here took the connection in pioneer plan... i think most of their customers are in the pioneer stuff and having sms free.. As all the prepaid ones are charged for sms @ 1rs. per sms ...their is no perpaid subscriber having free sms .. they would be getting the sms charge from all subscribers sending sms to access yahoo... i guess tats a reason for them to have a tie up with yahoo for RIM prepaid that the other one...

Reliance perpaid users are charged for sms na... And most of the users in the cdma are having sms free.. Maybe tats why only their prepaid ones are having this facility so they can get money from the sms sent

Even if there is such facility... I dont think u can have incomng sms blocked for a specific no.

hey guys there is nothing new... rworld and rediff are different earlier also, if u had entered the wap site of rediff u would get a list of ringtones.. but the thing is most of them dont support reliance... This time they might have jus updated the main page with a link to rediff... I think u r speaking abt tat only?

hai sarath, i dont think they will charge you anything... if you go to webworld If u have a cable u can have the security code by using unicdma.... But for ppl who dont know abt the stuff in that soft.. sometimes u may mess it up... If so u better seek help from webworld

Reliance ringtones has a different format Well its still a midi With respect to Vikas, It is as he said [Reliance Tone] + Midi which is formatted to exact 4112 bytes See this post for more info on adding ringtone to your lg http://www.rimweb.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=135 Its still true tat reliance phone doesnot support download through wap bcz when u host the ringtone on a web server in the right format and point ur phone to that link it displays the ringtone name (not filename) but never saves it...

i am speaking about the subscription charges i got the usage charges extra see the image attached

Hey guys, Now as we got the stuff to get the ringtone to lg handset y dont u think of getting a page with predefined ringtone were users can upload and download the ringtone in the right format for their lg handset hope u got it?

Two months ago i had subcribed to r-connect seeing the bill reckoner Go here http://relianceinfo.com/Infocomm/html/rbil...y_reckoner.html there scroll to the down... you will see a stuff like this here it says R-connect activated and accessed after Aug 16 monthly subscription is waved and for me the first month after activating nothing was charged except the usage but the second came with a charge of (Rs.212.91) Even if they are charging where did that Rs.12.91 extra come from Also according to their bill reckoner i was not supposed to be charged?

Moreover except reliance handsets, the handsets like samsung nokia and almost all can be connected to sys and add ringtones... even in this condition the other operators are able to sell the ringtones as per their sms charges to certain numbers.. There doesnt arise any legal issue... still if u feel any prob u can do the necessary Anyways good luck

Get the bitpim software Connect the serial cable to you cell start Bitpim goto the "FileSystem" tab initiall u will see a tree head like "/" Click in and unfold the tree You will see a subitem "meldl" Unfolding that menu will give u a set of file which consist of the three melody files namely melody4.dat,melody5.dat and melody6.dat... Overwrite the melody5.dat with the one provided by vikas.... k letme tell you according to me when u send an mms... its that u select a tone or wallpaper it sends the appropriate tone from the server compatible for win.... to the email

I took the tone from handset and uploaded it to the server and when i used the link to the server.. it displayed the ringtone name.. but didnot download... Remember it sure did display the ringtone name and not the file name... So that proves that if we post it in the right format.. it may not show errors but at the same time reliance wap doesnt support download so it dint download the tone... Well the earlier errors were shown when u navigated to a unsupported format

but its not playing correctlly, all still when i open in binary.. it shows psmplayer in the beginning is the converter PsmPlayer v3.80e?

wat is that will go wrong? i mean i jus did overwrite that file melody5.dat ?

i had already got bitpim...but can u tell me the proceedure i also had got the folder structure i saw three files like melody3 .. 4 and 5 i tried overwriting them with ur file still nothing happened ?? wats the reason can u tell me wat is the stuff u used to convert the tones and also the a small clue to the steps

i know that this message is often displayed due to network reasons but its the same when even if try at night and for me in my place only very few use wap.. I am not speaking against ur idea of wap site,, and i sure can will help u if u are taking such a step... but before all this arises a ques? Does rim phone support download through wap in r-surf?

hey but anything u try to download in wap it shows some error like Couldnot Fetch Response For example som guy had posted a site in tagtag http://tagtag.com/narangz even from that u cannot download the tone

But i think rworld is working on java stuff and not dependent on wap
