Virtual SIM?? In any case it wont be like a real SIM of GSM, because 1. Reliance has to register your handsets ESN on thier networks. 2. Unlike TATA indicom, MIN is not your phone no. , so even this has to be registered. In other words, reliance is simplifying Handset exchange, but it will still involve the painful experience of WW, and the after mid night *228 agony.

I use Serial cable on COM port 1, Bitpim and Qpst recognise this one particular phone on first attempt, every time...!! Brew mode in an instant. (LG RD 2030, r11 and I have tweaked on this phone a LOT) It was more earlier, about 2 to 3. Does not happen on other RD 2030s that I have. I need two to three attempts with bitpim not Qpst. The only difference is that I have played with the PRL on this phone, while I did not in the others. Can this be the reason? Any similar experiences?

Changing ESN is illegal. This is confirmed. Changing operators by end user without the knowledge of the mobile operator involves changing ESN as one of the many steps, esp in brew programmed handsets. So, it is illegal and is banned on this forum. If you can find a way to change networks on your CDMA handset, with the consent of the network service provider (this involves registering your handsets ESN by the new network) then it is legal as it does not involve changing ESN. PS: My personal opinion is otherwise.

Can you PM me in details. Lot of "weird" things happen with the so called tampered phones, lets not discuss it openly. Cant say that it is banned as it comes to the fringe area. Let the global moderators decide. Things which are clearly banned: 1. Changing ESN/MIN/Cloning 2. Changing networks.

How do you make a group in RD 2030, not possible. Hyper, you have a 5130, can you forward to the entire group? Group feature is present in 2230, the one without Java/R world

Ads are supposed to be funny and catchy. "So that people watch it, remeber it, discuss it ". When I saw the airtel ad, with the boyfriend saying Mayday Mayday on the radio, while the gf saying "Hello dad, I am really going to be late" I found it funny..!! I remeber it, I remeber Airtel. Common, havent you guys heard of Metaphor....!! Good authors use it all the time in books. Do you want ads to show boring people talking boring stuff in boring bedrooms btw, i found the girl in the ad sexy, does that mean that the ad is misleading the consumers that only sexy sex bomb girls with big boobies, having a pilot for a boy friend, and date only in wild jungles.... use Airtel. Or, that only young pre teens boys with cute pug nose dogs have Hutch. If that is the case then how many customers would Airtel or Hutch have. Grow up

My experience is simple, instead of delivery reports I get "Message Deposited" and another sms saying "Dear Reliance user due to technical difficulty on the side of BSNL we are unable to deliver your sms" and the from no. is a BSNL no., the no. I tried sending the sms in the first place.

Strange.. what hapens if you dial up using R connect with the above u/s password, are you billed? And in the list of accessible sites, can you access R surf?

wat.. WHAT?? You gone crazy. How is that possible. You may not be doing it right. Follow these steps to add word onto T9ENs custom dictionary. 1. Go to abc mode 2, Type the word you want to add to custom dictionary. say "UNBILL" 3. Now without a space change back to T9EN. 4. Space (in T9EN mode only) Try typing UNBILL in t9en. It works on RD 2030. PS: Forgive me if I am out of order, but was really that simple

Its mentioned in the article. Prices will be determined by the Service provider and not by Nokia. So, lets hope its Rs 500/- Besides Hyper, unlike "LG 5130" it is really tough to play with Nokia, you know what I mean There are lot of forums discussing ways to change the SN of Nokia, little experience here

I am a novice at COM ports or for that matter computers. Is it the problem with the USB port or the "USB to Serial converter" software. Why does serial/com1 better. And does this condition change if the USB port is changed from Com 4 (or whatever) to COM 1, as explained by Arun. Does bitpim or other programs recognise phone on first attempt.

I have written banner with Kyo PST and it works fine, but I never tried with Q pst. Thanks for the warning, but I thought that KyoPST was the heir of Qpst for Kyo phones. Vishal, yes it definetely has many uses, for example you can change the CDMA settings on your phone. You can change SPC, and also read the lock code. About Gtran, if Gtran can be read with Bitpim/UniCDMA it can be read with Qpst. Qualcom PST will work on all Qualcom chip based cdma phones.

Exactly.. thats what I was talking about Now if you want to operate your phone on COM1 just move whatever device was on COM 1 to a free COM port, and move your COM5 thing to COM1. Must solve most problems.

Well, yes that is the master re set code. He he, i remeber that one, used to give to annoying people. Well, its just that the PRL gets deleted. You have to upload it. For that you need to access the file system of Nokia. Its not an easy task. Nokia is a hard shell to crack.
-
Wanted to add that Bitpim is not the only program which can access the file system. A better alternative would be Qualcom PST. Read this:

The phone does have an internal clock. Thats why as long as you dont switch off the phone the time will be accruate. Depending on the phone or settings it will compare its internal time with the one beamed by the network. (Maybe it depends on the Slot Cycle) and any discrepency will be corrected. When you switch off, or worse remove the battery, the time wont be displayed.

No problem Sanay, Here is one more guy who allows you to download. He even has a tutorial for those who are new to Qualcom PST. http://www.s-c-u-m.com You will have to register to access his archives. If you need anyprogram in specific, PM me, i will try to help.

Yup, it is possible to change the COM port. You can interchange COM1 with COM (any). I am not sure how it is done, or that it will work. You will have to first vacate COM1 by moving it to a free com port and then re assign your COM 5 to COM1. Maybe an expert on windows can help. I am not sure Best bet is buy a serial cable.

Made me laugh It was not for me, I already have loads of CDMA stuff, its just that this is the first time I found all of them on one site for free and EASY downloads. Usually I upload to my briefcase so that others can download.

I found this site with a collection of CDMA programs. If you like it, please express your self www.lgphone.info

If not on RIM they have to provide the service on FWP. Noting the step motherly treatment to the FWP (compared to RIM) I think such an initiative would be taken very late if at all..!!
