Rakesh.. Is that a question (Do I have to purchase a phone and put ESN? ) or solution (you have to purchase a phone and put its ESN. )

Good point Racoon, but then Dogs are better as pets then Cats. Cats have no respect to thier owners. I am a very fickle person and am sure a dog will forgive and forget for one biscuit. Cats are like your Gf you really have to coax them..!! Well, my cousin has a doberman big black dog with huge cannines. Very moody actually, never intimate. I want an animal which can give me company something which will draw me away from my long hours of internet commitment . I do have a lot of free time on my hands but I waste them. Maybe I can, needs a lot of introspection. Yes, I agree its a big commitment.

Reliance Infocomm Widens Prepaid Reach
Beetle replied to Vishal Gupta's topic in Reliance Communications
I dont understand the point here. Reduce the denomination + reduce the validity. Its like splitting voucher 325 with one month validity into two vouchers of 165 with 15 days validity. (This stunt exists in GSM circles too) The only users who can really benifit from this are those who recharge once in 6 months just so that thier no. is kept alive. Why would any body do that, you ask? Well if you know how to program your old post paid number onto a new pre paid handset (say your 2030 onto 5130 eg: Hyper) and do not want to permanently loose the prepaid no. Once in every six months recharge the 5130 phone so that the RIM no. is kept alive. So, again, this basically favours individuals on the other side of the law. Doesnt all schemes from RIM. -
Ash It can be seen even now. I know you always use "View new posts" This time go to the forum main page, scroll down and you will be able to see the board stats.

Chiraag I think he is referring to Google ad sense. It would not make any sense to put Google ad sense here on Rimweb.com as you will get non sense ads like CDMA software, or some Cdma phones or rarely reliance petrochemicals. Do you think cliks on these would pay. Google only passes on a fixed percentage of what they get to the web publisher. Google will not get much from these sites. Maybe if this forum was on makeup/fashion etc. google ads may have links to Loreal or Lakme and other companies. These companies will be ready to pay more to google and Arun might earn as much as 4-5dollars per clik...!!

Dont see any great features for members, but I ya, I have been in through the moderator and Administrator CP or IPB 2.0 its much simpler. Very very easy to manage Uploads, IP address. For simple members, there is not much change.

Guys.. just out..!! Top secret from Arun files. Arun wants to earn more on rimweb.com than Reliance earns from RIM..!!! Man doesnt this guy have foresight...@@ !! Ps: This was joke that we both shared

Code, I dont think this is Cloning. Cloning is two handsets with the same number. What he is asking is changing Handsets. When a Reliance Handset is accepted onto Garuda network, the ESN of the handset is registered by Garuda, a new MIN is given. This is not cloning.

Friend, what you are trying to ask is to use the Nokia phone from Tata on Reliance. It can be done, but not by copying the EEPROM. All you need to do is change the CDMA settings. Listen, you can do any modification on your CDMA phone, including chaning Prl/Cdma settings even MIN/NAM. But you also need to change the ESN. Changing ESN illegal (maybe not for MIN and others ) . ESN changing is illegal in every country including India, neither you, nor the network providers like Reliance/Tata can change it. Changing MIN is not considered illegal in some countries, I am not really sure about India. ESN is a unique Id code provided by Handset manufacturer not network service provider. So, if you want to have a Tata handset on RIM, then until RIM enters the ESN on your handset into thier computers and gives you new NAM/MIN it is not possible legally. (PS: All this applies only to BREW based programming not SIM/RUIM based)

Hi Chiraag (or Arun) I am just curious, how much does it really cost to maintain the site?

Ambani Sister Brews Huge Javagreen Chain Plan
Beetle replied to Arun's topic in Reliance Communications
Do they have a "pioneer scheme" ** 1. 400 cups of coffee per month free.* Offnet charges extra 2. Unlimited free National Sugar Sachets. 3. Collection charges extra. *Onnet Charges: Coffee not grown by Reliance I guess. ** Offer Subject to approval by CRAI (Coffee Regulatory Authority of India) -
Good work and thanks for considering my suggestion.

1000 posts.. thats a lot. Cant you reduce it to a 100? SE you have only 450 posts and you have a custome Title? Member/Advanced Member/Experienced Member s**ks. Well.. ok.. I got my answer you can close the topic

Pegasus, the bottom line right now is, whether you own the handset or not, TATA indicom WONT ACCEPT RIM HANDSETS for now.
-
Ya.. Tired Chiraag this is how the consumer loose . There is a thin line between maintaing a Hobby and being paranoid isnt it?

2230 is a polyphonic phone, never heard of a poly phonic ringtone being sent as an SMS..? I am surprised. Coming from Greens it must be true unless he is misguided.
-
Exactly..! From what I gather TATA indicom even thou has higher call charge does not deduct any fixed amount from its Recharge vouchers. i.e. 100% talktime = 100% currency = 100% Truth
-
100% truth = 100% currency with every recharge.
-
You forgot the some points here: 1. If you recharge for 325 you get 325 of talktime. No monthly plan charge. Net effect, you get more than RIM prepaid interms of talk time, and a LOT MORE SMS. At 1Rs per sms you will have 325sms per month. Compare this to RIM. 2. About Offnet charges, I thought it was billed to the operator not the customer. If Reliance lands 10000 mins of calls to AirTel then reliance will pay 100000*charge. This 100000 would be the addition of UNROUNDED call duration. i.e. a ten second call is added to a 40second call etc. So, the TATA Indicom offer is actually feasible. And what happened to the TRAI directive that calls have to be metered at 1 min pulse which forced RIM to withdraw 15second pulse for DAPO.

Why is there no clear cut direction of Inter operator compatibility of CDMA handsets after almost two years of introduction? Why has TATA not openly declared that they are ready to accept Reliance handsets (At present they wont accept RIM handsets even if the customer owns it in prepaid) Chiraag, you are just an individual.. Reliance can buy the goverment. They can play with any law go against any policy. Whats right to us neednt be right for them.

I am waiting to get my hands on the TATA Ruim, maybe will work on Nokia 2280 after 7370.
