My bundled headset was almost unusable for voice calls. For music it was ok. Got it replaced in warranty today. They replaced it without even checking it out. Tried 2 new headsets at the service center and concluded that these bundled headsets are not of good quality - made several calls and everyone told me that sound thru the headphone's mic does not sound so good... esp. when compared to the phone's mic. Even at my end, the other person's voice did not sound as good on the headphones, as it does thru the the phone. For music, the sound quality is not too bad... but I expect better. AT LEAST as good as my old Moto, huh!! As for the dust under the screen issue (known issue with the O1), those who think they do not have it, just take a good look in sunlight with the screen brightness turned up (if low). I too thought I did not have it, until I checked in the sun. They disassembled it in front of me and cleaned it. They said they replaced some part so that it does not reoccur. Forgot to check which part they ment... as other issues occupied my attention. Very disappointing that LG designs phones with such obvious defects. Not at all happy about letting service centers open such a new phone. Well, at least they did most of the stuff in front of me... now I can consider doing it myself. Lastly, about the Pune, Dhole Patil Road service center - no AC (though I noticed 1 was installed, at least in the waiting room). Without AC, impossible to keep things relatively dust free, so you are likely to come away with some more dust. :| Even few other things not quite upto the mark... like at the 2 Nokia Care centers I'v seen. But the staff did gave a lot of attention... (may be because of my previous interaction with the area manager). I noticed that almost all other customers came with basic LG phones. Maybe thats why LG has kept its service a li'l more "basic"? Hopefully, LG improves it's service along these parameters, if it expects to sell pricier smartphones. Guess I'll just have to buy a better headset... one with noise cancellation circuitry. Can anybody adivce on which mobile headsets (with mic) are good?

Anybody knows what class the SD card is? There are reports that class 2 cards of larger capacities (>2GB) don't work well with the Optimus one. Has anybody used this 4GB Strontium card with O1? Please don't forget to mention firmware version.

Received it today. Thanks a heap mate. However, my fone absolutely does not/cannot fit on the cradle. And unlike other car holders I'v seen, the clamps on this one ain't adjustable at all. So I guess nothing except the fone that its made for (HTC HERO G1 GSM, as mentioned by Greatest )will fit... unless there is another that has precisely the same dimensions. Also the way it is made, it does not seem to be feasible to stick any kind of padding to it, so as to prevent scratches to the fone. Besides the lack of any padding, the quality is decent. Mentioning this as I have to put up the item to give away here, again. Anybody asking for it, please note the above factors before asking for it.

Used AMD (desktop) for quite a long time with zero issues. Though I cannot comment on performance with equivalent Intel proccies. But that would depend on individual models. If cheaper, and performance is similar or better, I would not hesitate to go for AMD.

Can any one in the know advice about buying headphones with mic for desktop/lappy? Prefer to buy from Letsbuy, since I gotta coupon... unless there is some better deal elsewhere. Strange thing is that all these headphones with mic say they are for PC to PC voice chatting and gaming. No mention is made about music. Does that mean these headphones don't play music well? I'd like one thats good with both music and voice chat. Would be really grateful if anybody who knows can advice.

NOD32 is supposed to be "lightweight", so I installed it on a lower specced lappy and found that it made the comp crawl!!Unininstalled, and again found the performance of the comp to improve big time. Have they suddenly made it heavy or what?? Not experienced any false alarms yet. Using it on a faster desktop. Now I'm toying with the idea of removing it from there too, to see how much it improves performance.

Cookie POP (GD510) might be a good option for you. If I remember right, it was one of the most successful LG phones. Had checked reviews long time back and the pics seemed good. But cam lacks AF. And its resistive screen and not dual SIM. But it meets all other requirements nicely and is very good looking, IMO. Can't say if any latter Cookie variants are a better deal though. This one seems to have a poor cam and poorer flash. Screen is also 2.8" AFAIK. Was considering this myself, but reviews put me off totally. Monte is NOT Android!?

Not at all trying to justify any legit shortcomings from the dealer, but I'm not sure if they should be driving the car as part of the pre-delivery inspection. Personally, I'd not be comfy if they did that... at least not without my supervision. So as per Ford's policy they may not be supposed to drive it outside the showroom premises. Just imagine what unscrupulous mechanics will do with new cars. Needs no elaboration. A car with so many issues that you have described should never have left the company. Seems Ford has goofed up big time somewhere. IMHO, if you have "sufficient" issues, you should demand a replacement and fight for it... if required in a Consumer Forum. It will of course involve time, effort and some expense on your part. But here's your chance to get even with them.

Sorry to hear about your experiences. Steering fluid burst? Where did it "burst" from? Really surprising that something like that can happen on a new car. It could be that the part where it burst from was defective or poor quality or the dealer has replaced stuff and given you spurious parts. If it was defective, I doubt if you can blame the dealership, as I don't think its feasible for the dealership to go into such details in the pre-delivery inspection. New car breaking down is also VERY surprising. Have you not gone into why it happened? And since you say you are having electrical issues, hope its not something that will lead to something like a short-circuit.... and a possible fire. Beware! Hope you get your issues sorted out.

Cheap? I think not? Last time I looked BSNL was amongst the priciest. Reliance seemed like the best bet... with cheaper tariff. But they refused citing feasibility reasons. Hathway was by far the cheapest, but I'd not touch them with a bargepole. Tariff and service aside, the connection (BSNL) itself is quite reliable and stable, most of the time.

As can be seen from the time, I saw the thread and checked around 1:15 AM... by then it was showing sold out. I have made use of some deals. I only crib about the ones I wanted but could not get. Last deal I got was for book from Indiaplaza. Order still shows "Under process". Indiatimes seems pretty slow. With some other sellers, I would have received the book by now. I guess you can't believe those numbers. They may be showing higher nos. to show that the deal is in great demand....

Just 2 years and it has reached its EoL?? Pretty poor router that... Would cautiously suggest UTStar... but I doubt you get it in the market. BSNL used to give those earlier. As for those currently available in the market, lets see what others here suggest. Would be interested myself...

Similar experiences with AirHELL. And I stopped writing such letters to them as I'm pretty sure they are most likely not even read by anyone from the management. Some nincompoop, half-witted CC exec. may (or may not!) read and send pre-drafted msg. just for formality's sake. Mails to Nodal and App authority are never answered... except one instance where the App. auth. replied after some 8 MONTHS by when I renounced AirHELL for good. Others may not be terrific, but AirHELL is the worst by far. Even RCom is better, IMO.

It was on till late night... though I cannot recall the time now. First few times I tried, it said that section is down or something. After some time, when everything started running again, I tried to make at least 3 transactions. All gave error msg. that I mentioned earlier. The I noticed that they have extended the offfer by several more hours... about 24 if I recall correctly. So I let it go and decided to try once again in the morning. In the morning it cooly says that "I am too late". Now not only have I not got any talk time, they seem to have started sending me SMS offers on my main phone (which is the no. I wanted to charge), which I absolutely do not want. Seems like the purpose behind this offer is to harvest mobile nos, as a LOT of people would buy an offer like this. Then they can be bombarded with their other offers. Snapdeal sux. This is 2nd time they wasted my time.
