But it would play be a problem for those trying to keep tabs on their calls ...and not just for billing reason. Neverthless its a bug! RD 2030 I guess is somewhat "old" now, but LG have released new versions of firmware; but obviously left this bug untouched...
-
That means for all practical purposes, the feasibility of a change is still negative, right? Saurav, perhaps you could give us a little more detail about this conversion?
-
Guys ...thats the problem ...customers should in general never get into plans with ambiguities! The RIM R-connect plans are devoid of any transparency and everybody should shun them until and unless RIM does something about it! I'm glad I decided not to go for it...
-
And as I said before - you may install all the software you want, but you have no way of knowing if its going to tally at Reliance's end ...until the end of the month ...or more!!! So I just decided not to go for it... Do let us know your experiences later ...ie. does it tally, etc.

Its really sad that they still haven't done anything to resolve this irritating bug! Can someone tell me if the Moonlight and the new colour phone have the same problem?
-
I wish we were in the US or something ...could surely have sued them and made some bux!
-
Yippeee ....one more reason with which we should take them to court about!!!

Ambani Sister Brews Huge Javagreen Chain Plan

So the resultant vector of Java Green = zero!!! -
Recently the RIM site led me to www.phoneytunes.com ...and the site mentions 'Reliance India Mobile' as one of their partners! Does that mean we can download ringtones or stuff from places other than R-World!? The site dosent seem to inform properly ....anybody in the know???
-
Thanks a heap ...really appreciate your compassion!
-
Oh no! I was hoping for something bit better than this kiddish stuff...
-
Which 3 services are available?
-
Are you really sure??? I have read exactly the opposite. Sound quality isnt dependant just on power consumption...
-
I guess ...getting some DECENT ringtones seems to be too good to be true after living with those dreadful ones on R-World! And its certainly mentioning RIM ...and not Reliance GSM ...so lets wait with bated breath...
-
I had considered this plan and inquired at the helpdesk more than once about it. They just don't offer any way to let you know the usage! So I just trashed the idea. Now that you've already subscribed to it, I think the only way you can know is to install some software which will keep track of the data throughput at your end. (You will find shareware or something, for this purpose on the net) But thats the catch - you have no way of knowing if its going to tally at their end! So I hope you have the courage to face what hits you in the face at the end of the month...

Ambani Sister Brews Huge Javagreen Chain Plan
raccoon replied to Arun's topic in Reliance Communications
Cofee at a Reliance Web World??? Ha! Sure to give even those with limitless fortitude a huge bout of claustrophobia! Besides, perpetual radiation of rotten vibes from estranged and highly malevolent customers with billing problems!!! -
Forget broadband, even regular dial-ups leave a lot to be desired. I had a horrid experience with VSNL and had to put up with them for a year. The main problem is awfully slow connections ...and quite expensive too! Now I have BSNL ...speeds are bit better and is cheaper than VSNL but there are other problems - ghastly customer service and connection problems, etc! Had Dishnet before that and that was nothing to rave about either. Many ISP which came out couple of years ago (like BPL, etc) have simply closed shop! So not much choice either... The Indian ISP scenario like its mobile counterpart leaves a whole lot to be desired.
-
Other things besides, RIM should really do something about Yahoo messenger access ...and of course mail access! Thats the spirit of R-World! I rarely check mail on my RIM ...today I did and was pleasently surprised to find "BSNL" listed there! Wow ...now I can check my Sancharnet mail account there (I ditched the awfully slow VSNL 4 months back)! Didnt quite expect that they would list BSNL there as yet... They have also added mail accounts of other ISPs, it seems...

Well Vishal, Code has almost answered your question to me before I could ...I did mean 'static electricity' when i said 'static'. I wouldn't recommend that you connect the wire to your comp cabinet, even though it may be properly grounded. Comp hardware is very sensistive to static! Besides, are you really sure that your cabinet is properly grounded? Dont just assume that it is! In fact, you should test you wiring once a while for that. Its quite easy ...and well worth the trouble. Perhaps the best way to ground that wire would be to connect it directly to the earthing in your wall socket. If thats difficult, perhaps you could connect it to a large metal object (like furniture, etc)...
-
I guess its for static which builds up there. I wouldn't cut it if I were you. On the other hand maybe remove it temporarily and see how it affects static...
-
As expected ...much of the stuff there is promo stuff. And also Bank access, etc ...that is free thru the net anyway. The ringtones are garbage. And now no Yahoo! messenger! If they want to charge, they got to put something there worth charging for... As a free service its a reasonably good incentive to patronise RIM, as a whole.
-
Thats %$#@\*!+^%!!!!! Anyway, can anybody tell me precicely how much more do they charge???
-
Some one just told me that some GSM operators like Idea charge more for sending SMS to RIMs. Is this really true??? I wonder what justification they have for that ...Reliance certainly does not discriminate in this?!
-
In Poona one cable operator is now offering unlimited access for Rs. 500 /month (if you pay 6 months advance). Anybody got a better offer anywhere?
-
If I remember correctly, amber is used to signify a 'malfunction' in charging.
