I used to have a LG 2130... and you CAN sync it with outlook. First of all install the LG Sync software for LG RD 2130. Go to that folder .. you will find a model specific dll file - LGRD2130Connector.dll - copy this file somewhere safe (on your desktop for e.g.) and uninstall LG Sync. Now install the LG Sync version for LG RD 2030 (yes 2030...). This version includes outlook sync dlls. Now go to the folder where you installed LG Sync (2030 version) and copy paste the LGRD2130Connector.dll file. Run LG sync 2030 - it will sync outlook with RD 2130 also.

if you have Pop3 support in yahoo its better to use the built in email application - Rworld>Messaging>Email>other servers enter pop.mail.yahoo.com in the pop3 server, port 110 your email address as username and password. This way you do not have to give your password to a third party site. Plus the email app in rworld is preety cool You can get pop3 access in yahoo either by paying for it or - if you are a very old subscriber - by receiving Yahoo delivers email (advts).

tanveer - if you want i can paste the values that my phone displays for some of the settings you have changed. let me know a list numbers for which you want the default settings.

How can you configure interCDMA/uniCDMA... i cant get any of them to work with GTRAN. First problem is that both of them have very limited COM port options... whereas the GTRAN driver creates a COM9 port on my pc.

my battery give me just one day. I charge it every night and its drained by late evening. One battery saving tip is to disable the backlight. Look under settings|display.

i get most battery life when i use the desktop charger... not the travel charger... dunno why it shud make a difference though!

how can i add new java software... i managed to download the rworld jar files ... will inspect them for more internals... is there someway to active the built in wap broswer instead of jbrowser (the RSurf option on rworld)?

dont konw anything specific about LG 5130, but in general LG has better firmware and support - as against gtran which doesnot provide firmware updates and has no service outfits in diff cities

hey my bill got delayed by a few days too... normally i get it by around 10th. Check the status of your bill on the website - you can download a pdf of ur bill. The funny thing is that they hv showed the price i paid for the upgrade but not the correspoinding debit. So the net bill is a negative amount!!! Reliance owes me money - gotta rush to collect it

25 hour mode is also good - change it to 1 for 12hr (am/pm) format instead of the 24-hour (military time) format.

hi there tanveer - i successfully connected the GTRAN and could get a look at the filesystem with BitPim - not much luck in toying around with the phonebook, ringtones, etc.. but not very inclined to try it also bcoz the gtran software is good enough for that. What else can we do with bitpim? any pointers?

hi - as far as identification goes each CDMA phone (or RUIM card as the case may be) has a ESN number stored on it. Reliance servers have a manifest of valid ESN numbers in its network and they use this to identify the phone.
