Google updates GTalk or Talk to Hangout+ on android. I got the update on my Note 2 last night. In fact their site also now directs to Google+ Hangout site.

doubt if anybody calling authorised service centre after importing a TV set. For long, we are getting imported sets and seldom has any problems. There are many good service engineers across the country for repairing. The companies should rather focus on economising and try to compete imported sets rather than such restricting the spare parts.

^^^ now await for review.. BTW how much is the damage on pocket?

Philips Hue update delivers web notifications, turns lights on as you return home Source hilips has rolled out the latest update for its Hue customizable LED lightbulbs, adding new location, alarm, and timer features that make the its home lighting product even smarter. The new features come as part of a new iOS app update, interacting with web services to alert you of changes in the weather, deliver social media notifications, and other user-created macros thanks to Philips' partnership with internet automation platform IFTTT. The addition of a new geofencing feature allows you to configure different lighting environments when you enter or leave the house. Alarms can now be set to recur as part of a specific schedule and the timer can now be used to turn on the lights at random times — a useful feature if you want to make it appear like you're home when you aren't. With the expansion of its Hue API earlier this year, Philips opened the door to custom apps — it now boasts more than 30 third-party apps that can coordinate with music, connect to fitness equipment to display heart rates, and interact with Siri to respond to spoken commands.

Experience with Hyundai Verna I had purchased Verna on Dussera for dad travel to factory. Daily travel of 50kms (to & fro) and about 60 to 70 minutes. Initially very happy with it. The problem started within 1 month. There was some noise on back side as if you have kept something in the boot. We thought it might be loose stepney or something else. We tried all the tricks. Even taken to service centre and they could not find the solution. Eventually they changed rear left shock absorber. It work for sometime and again problem started. Hyundai could not solve the problem. They told that no more than 2 persons can sit on back seat. I asked them to give me writing and also mention how much weight can be put on back seat. Till to get the reply. Then somewhere in March end/April starting, there was problem with gear and found that clutch has problem and need to replace it. The noise problem is still there and many rounds to service centre in between were unsuccessful. This time they told it was driver's error. But cant believe as the same driver had drove about 20,000 kms Skoda Octavia without any problem. They have replaced the clutch. Since then the vehicle is with service center as we decided not to take it back. They are asking us to take it back but are unable to confirm that noise problem will not arise. Also they are unable to give any reasons for clutch problem.

^^^ I tried this. Certain features are not working as shown. May be need Samsung laptop or ATIV. However can access everything on phone and control phone from PC using keyboard & mouse. If anybody wants, will provide the details on how to do it.

Yesterday I got a change to play with S4 for sometime at Reliance Digital. The phone is light and good to hold. The display is crisp and bright. The front and rare cameras are good and like the metal rim. I could not test certain new features, may be I didn't how to use. IMHO I don't think it is worth the price at 41,500/-

As requested by few, micro review of iPad mini..... Use mainly for gaming and Skype video chat... What I like: 1. Amazing display, very crisp 2. Fast processing, no lag noticed 3. Very addictive 4. You score more in temple run and subway surfer 5. Keyboard is also amazing 6. Excellent Battery life What not like for 1. Some how zoom pix are not good. 2. Very very tight control of apple, lack sharing with other devices 3. For typing numbers, always press number key 4. No all video formats supported 5. Most apps are paid compare to android No point on mentioning others like no true multitasking etc. You should use it to believe it. I am Sammy fan, but this device is awesome... I was planning to compare it with my friend's samsung tab 2, but could not get a chance.

Rumor has Google close to buying WhatsApp for $1B Source Google is said to be well into negotiations with the team behind WhatsApp, with the search giant reportedly considering a $1 billion price tag for the popular cross-platform messaging app. Sources reportedly close to the negotiations tell Digital Trends that Google is looking to acquire the popular messaging app, and that WhatsApp's team is "playing hardball," holding out for an acquisition price close to $1 billion. Bringing WhatsApp into the fold would likely provide Google with a faster route to unifying its disparate messaging services — Google Voice, Google Hangouts, Google Talk, etc — making it more capable of competing in the communication segment against Internet rival Facebook. Such a service unification may be high up on Google's priorities list right now. Rumors have the search leader working on a project known as Babble, which would provide cross-platform communications between its services. The rumored WhatsApp negotiations could be a means of bringing an accomplished team into Google's own operations, as Google did when it acquired popular iOS mail app Sparrow in July. Google is said to have approached WhatsApp in the past, broaching the topic of an acquisition in early December. Around the same time, Facebook was also said to be considering buying WhatsApp. WhatsApp has proved immensely successful in the time since its release, netting tens of millions of users across Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, and Apple's iOS platform. It is currently the second-most popular paid app in Apple's iTunes App Store, and the service saw 18 billion messages transmitted this past New Year's Eve. Eschewing advertisements, WhatsApp has managed to pull in considerable revenues with a simple yearly subscription fee of $1. iPhone users pay that fee upon first downloading the app, though recent rumorshave the service moving to a model more in line with its incarnations on other platforms. Users on other platforms can download and use the app for free for the first year before being presented with the option to pay a $1 per year subscription fee. While WhatsApp has not released any details on its financial operations, Digital Trends' source says the company may be pulling in roughly $100 million in revenue.

ITC judge says Samsung infringes key part of Apple patent Source: Reuters WASHINGTON | Fri Apr 5, 2013 12:18pm EDT (Reuters) - Samsung Electronics Co Ltd infringed a key portion of an Apple Inc patent by including a text-selection feature in its smartphones and tablets, an International Trade Commission judge said in a preliminary decision. South Korean-based Samsung did not infringe portions of a second Apple patent that allows a device to detect if a microphone or other device is plugged into its microphone jack, the judge said in a decision that was issued on March 26 but kept confidential until late Thursday to allow the companies to redact sensitive business information. The full commission must now decide if they will uphold it or overturn the judge's decision. A final decision is expected in August. If it is upheld, the ITC can order any infringing device to be barred from importation into the United States. Apple has alleged that Samsung's Galaxy, Transform and Nexus devices, among others, were among those made with the infringing technology. Apple had filed a complaint in mid-2011, accusing Samsung of infringing its patents in making a wide range of smartphones and tablet. ITC Judge Thomas Pender said in a preliminary decision in October that Samsung infringed four Apple patents but did not violate two others listed in the complaint. There had been seven listed initially, but one was dropped during litigation. The full commission then said it wanted the agency's judge to take a second look at portions of two patents where he had found that Samsung infringed. That remanded decision, issued in late March, was unsealed on Thursday. Samsung is the world's largest smartphone maker, while Apple is in second place, according to Gartner Inc, a technology research firm. Apple is waging war on several fronts against Google Inc, whose Android software powers many Samsung devices. The legal battles between Apple and Samsung have taken place in some 10 countries as they vie for market share in the booming mobile industry. Google's Android software, which Apple's late founder Steve Jobs denounced as a "stolen product," has become the world's No. 1 smartphone operating system. Apple's battle against Google's Android software has dragged in hardware vendors that use it, including Samsung and HTC. Samsung is also a parts supplier to Apple, producing micro processors, flat screens and memory chips for the iPhone, iPad and iPod. Apple has reduced orders from Samsung for chips and screens. The case at the International Trade Commission is No. 337-796. (Reporting by Diane Bartz; Editing by Jeffrey Benkoe)

How reliable is Microsoft Exchange Mail on GSM network, while in National Roaming?
csmart replied to kshah's topic in General Technical Discussion
I dont see a problem for that. I upgraded my server and hence migrated to Exchange about 8 months ago. My brother is one of the earliest users of mobile phone. He never had any problem in receiving mails be it on BB or Android (Note 1). He is also travelling about 10 to 12 days a month. There are settings for syncing (getting mails as push) in android. You need to individually set push mail option for each and every folder that you have in your mail/outlook or whatever you use. Otherwise it will update only INBOX and will get alert for that only while roaming. This is done to save data charges. But it can be easily changed and one time process. I am also now on Vodafone and never had that problem. -
