with major fumble for smart phone OS, loosing market in search engine and broswer, now is it time for OS? HP announce that it will start shipping all its PCs with dual boot, WIndows and WebOS. if it clicks, then in future it may only sell WebOS. MS will loose one of its high paying partner, HP. what you think? WebOS on PC, no windows.. you never know. but one thing is sure, Steve Ballmer has blunder a lot. besides, XBOX kinect, nothing is selling. i think MS should get Bill Gates back after reading below article. NBC states anybody can track you, kids and family members based on pics you upload from a smart phone. its shocking. but i feel it may not be that accurate in India. however can be excellent tool for terrorists or other to target big shots and their kids. it reminds of 26/11 terror attack on Mumbai where terrorists used GPS to navigate their dingy all the way up to Mumbai. if the video is true. it should work.. on mine its working fine since i got Epic without any problem. u need to specify the proxy server address and port. if those are fine, then when u open browser, it will immediately ask for proxy username & password. ..... i dont know if others have problem. also check with your network guy whether simultaneous logins allowed or not. there are many options in proxy server also. if everything is fine, then its hard to figure out. i think better have your network to look at it. he can give some idea.

(you may have to ask your admin for this) 5. then click on menu button and click on save. 6. return to home menu 7. start browser and it should ask for proxy username and password. 8. proxy username and password and click OK or enter.. it will take you to home page. also make sure that you are getting proper IP address from wifi router. just touch the wifi network from the list and you will get details like, network name, signal strength and IP address. if your admin has blocked some IP or allow only specified MAC address to access then it can be a problem.

i prefer to stay with DI 18 till the further news available. even samsung has pulled down OTW. besides, i do not want to go with customised ROMs which also have some or the other problem.. you can follow what rishisuri has suggested. its your choice..

Its not fully restarting. When I checked uptime it showed 7hrs just aftr restart.. its something like restarting explorer in windows. To check uptime, go to settimgs > about phone > status > up time (its last item in de list...) Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk

official curtails on EB13... samsung pulled down updates from their site download page also.. its no longer available for download (see the screen shot).. though the link provided by Hetal is working.... so its better to stick to eclair DI18...

clear case of wrong business decisions and greed on the part of promoters (i dont blame them).. there was no need to go for GSM when they were having excellent CDMA coverage. also they failed to get good handsets... remember a period, when new classic handsets and limited samsung/lg were available. this has resulted a bomb and mass exodus after MNP... have to pay high for 3G which i feel will not be money spinner for any telco. i feel that most are with them because of low tariff..

i did it.. i had made image of my SD card. then while loading back it started the error... may be that might be issue... tried it again... no luck.. infact while copying pix from PC to phone it restarted the same old way...

mine didnt show triangle. after loosing signal, it will show circle with cross bar and then vibrate for 2-3 times. i cant do anything till it restarts automatically.

@doc_anurag thnx for the tricks.. m also waiting for others feedback.. how u solved it. i read on one of the forums that formatting SD card works. but id did not had any luck.. samsugn says, hard reset. but tht also didnt help... bug in froyo: if u are entering a password, then the last character is shown till u enter next or take any other action. this happens when u have "visible password" option on. earlier, it was hidden automaticaly after displaying for few milliseconds..

Use power point..u can put each photo on new ask slide and it has setting to automaticslly load next slide... U can define time when 2 load... Sent from my SPH-D700 usinTapatalk

uninstalled quick setting, formatted SD card, tried reinstalling froyo with "clean install".. no luck and fed up with it.. back to original DI18..... no point in continuing with Froyo as it restarts as when it feels so...

Sprint/Samsung stopped upgrade push due to bugs related to data call and SD card access.. Source..
