Updated: 11-digit Mobile Numbers By 2010 - '9’ to be prefixed to all existing numbers
csmart replied to Sadikk's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
boss you are in India. you are not allowed to ask such questions. there was no reason for adding '2' to landline, but was done to favor reliance. same is the case with cell number. many had proposed India to migrate to 3-digit STD codes and 7 digit numbers. the way its in US and then also followed by UK. the reason is simple. there are about 400+ districts in India. so 3 digit std was simpler. and every one has same number pattern, 7 digits. currently it varies from 5 to 8. our ministers and babus are happy in making things complicated. so you know, we should not ask why? -
its high time for govt to think its strategy.. instead of going for 3g, we should direcltly go for 4g... once telecom minister, dayanidhi maran had said this..b ut was laughed at.. i think direc 4g was th ebest option for india. now double investment, 3g and then 4g.. and again we will be way behind others....

Mnp Between Reliance Cdma And Reliance Gsm?
csmart replied to s207's topic in Reliance Communications
you can retain your number irrespective of technology within the same circle. it does not matter whether you opt for CDMA to GSM or vice versa. after some time, may a year or so, you can retain the number and change your circle also. reliance already gear u to transfer it existing CDMA to GSM and GSM to CDMA, but govt. is not allowing. i dont know how it affect govt. may be its related to spectrum stuff. -

Best Cellular Network In India
csmart replied to abkumar's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
my experience is quite good with reliance CDMA. i have used Airtel and Vodafone. but airtel has lot of issue in terms of network in closed offices and buildings. coverage of reliance is realy good and they have improved a lot over the years. i cant say this for other service providers. i found that cc of reliance is at par with others. i know how hard its with vodafone to get things done with corporate connection. i will vote for R-CDMA... -
i have seen a lot of touch pros recently having this problem will suggest to reset (soft) the phone once in 2-3 days.. if very high usage than once in a day... its typical windows problem. when i was using touch, i used to reset it daily and was working without any problem. same with pro.. reset it at least once in 2-3 days, it works without any problem..

Wanna Make My Old Computer Fast?
csmart replied to chandannasta's topic in General Technical Discussion
dear chandan, if its your grandpa thing, then dont touch this system means dont upgrade. i will say you need new PC. its like an old fiat (padmini), run by taxiwallas, where you dont get any parts, replace with parts from scrapped cars. its time to change pc.. i will usggest keep this PC as it and buy a new one.. your processor, OS, motherboard are not design to support hard disk more than 8GB max (98 dont support more than 8GB). ram support will be max 512, i guess. so upgrading is no point. you have sound card problem, whether sound card gone bad or not, you dont know. buying new is like you need to slog it out find compatible card. or you can get it from someone who has such old system and throwing away. otherwise even if you get, it will be costly. to make faster, when you compare with current PCs, it will never be faster. reason, processing power is slow, the current software, even firefox requires good amount of RAM and processing. so practicaly you dont have choice. yeah, if you are using office 2000 or Tally, then this sytem will work. otherwise i dont think so. with cost of abt 15,000 u can get decent pc... following to look for Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 Ghz 500 GB Hard disk 3 GB RAM Cabinet if you go for dual core and then price will be little less. the price difference between 500GB and 360GB is negligible about 500 or so.. go for interl original or gigabyte motherboard. RAM will be transcend/kingsotn/hynetic. cabinet ranges from 900 to 5000. i generaly go for abt 1500 from VIP or iBall.. apologies if i am harsh, but the fact is, u need new pc... i u need any help, can help you... pm me... -

Mtnl To Launch India’s First 50 Mbps Broadband In Mumbai
csmart replied to Mukeshlst's topic in Other Broadband Discussion
its definitely going to be expensive compare to current charges. there cannot be download cap on such plans. this like you are given a F1 car but you cant go beyond 50... -
this judgment is good. it implies that it was scandalous on the part of A raja for changing the sumbission date. now all depends on SC. you cant predict SC. SC has many times given orders that were not rational.

WHY CANT OUR STATES HAVE SOMETHING LIKE THIS. WE HAVE LOT OF POWER CUTS ACROSS THE COUNTRY... California Bans "Energy Wasting" TV's What This Means to You November 20, 2009By Lori Cunningham The California Energy Commission (CEC) voted to restrict the sale of energy efficient TV's and enforce stricter standards on TV's sold in California. Is now the time to rush out and buy a TV before the ban is enacted in January 2011? There are many inefficient TV's being sold that are increasing energy consumption, especially when you consider the proliferation of larger screen TV's in homes across America. Plasma TV's are heralded for their brightness and richness of colors, but some plasmas use up to three times more electricity than the older cathode-ray tubes. Earlier this week, the California Energy Commission (CEC) voted unanimously to restrict the sale of energy wasting TV's, up to 58 inches in size and enforce stricter standards on TV's sold in California. According to the California Energy Commissions website: The restriction and stricter standards only apply to TVs sold in California after January 1, 2011. The first standard (Tier 1) would take effect January 1, 2011, and reduce energy consumption by average of 33 percent. The second measure (Tier 2) would take effect in 2013 (applies to TV's larger than 58") and, in conjunction with Tier 1, reduce energy consumption by an average of 49 percent. What This Ban Means to You O Increased costs for TV's. The CEC is imposing higher standards on TV manufacturers to reduce energy consumption. Standards include reduced luminance in brightness levels and an automatic standby mode that occurs after 15 minutes without a TV signal. Manufacturers will only need to implement these new standards for TV's sold in California. O Annoying Standby Screen. The automatic standby mode will be cumbersome if watching a show and the standby screen comes on. O California is the only state enforcing these standards. As new TV's are likely to be more costly, it is very possible that people will begin purchasing their TV's from the Internet or out of state. This will result in a loss of jobs in California and decreased sales tax income. O On the positive side, the CEC believes Californians will save an average for $30/TV the first year, assuming you're using a highly efficient TV. So it is possible you'll save some money. O Your current TV's are not effected by the ban, it only applies to TV's sold beginning January 1, 2011. Should I Buy A TV Now Before the Ban Begins? You're probably asking, "Should I run out and buy my TV's now before the ban begins?" According to several TV manufacturers, meeting the low wattage standards will not be difficult. Many manufacturers are selling more energy efficient TV's now. In fact, as of September, it's reported that more than 1,000 TV's already meet the 2011 standards. The simple answer is, if you need a TV, buy one now. If you don't need one for a while, wait. Technology is rapidly advancing and by 2011, the new OLED TV's will be rolled out. OLED TV's are remarkably thin, have a more vibrant picture, and consume less energy than today's plasmas and LED screens. Reliance Webstore Forays Into Handset Distribution Through ‘hub-and-spoke’ Business Model
csmart replied to Arun's topic in Reliance Communications
man, these guys are toooo much. reliance want to eliminate distributors and keep all profit for itself. they want everything in house. i realy doubt how they sustain such setup. even reliance energy has its own software/hardware team for meters and other development. no surprise if tomorrow it buys stake in Coolpad.. BTW, thanx to reliance, for assuring availability of "no so good" handset (coolpad).... -
always go for maruti.. low on maintenance and also find repair shop anywhere. i have swift and Ritz. Go for Ritz. the driving ritz is amazing. I wont recommend hyundai cars. but then choice is yours.
