@mandu1 What makes you feel that WAP is starting ? You say "good news" and then you say "hope so". News means there has to be a source.. Whats the source ?? Guys.. Have you been seeing the 6270 (GSM) ad that Nokia is publishing on newspapers ? Previously 6270 used to come with 512mb miniSD card. Now Nokia is providing 1Gb miniSD card. WHY ???? Why cant they provide a larger card with our 6265 (CDMA). They even provide CA-53 data cable with 6270 .. why not with 6265 ??? .. Nokia is providing a phone worth 15-16k without a data cable. This is cheating..

Ok.. The number that you need to dial to connect to Rconnect is #777 So in the Phone number to dial you enter #777 The username and password is same i.e. your Mobile no. (93xxxxxxxx) I experimented the same to connect my Laptop to Rconnect. I tried to do every as told in previous posts.. but no luck. I get an invalid username / password error.. Do tell if you succeeded ! Mainak

I tried using Rconnect through my new HP laptop using Bluetooth and Nokia 6265. No Luck.. The phone starts dialing #777 and then it shows "Data Call Ended" and the error that pops up on the laptop is.. "The username and password was not accepted fo this domain"

It seems they wont start WAP services in the near future.. The "fools" as usual.. accidently enabled the WAP services for few days until another "fool" reported it to stop it. Seems like one of those "fools" got jealous of Rimwebians being able to surf through WAP.

Good offer.... MTNL has to bring in a cheaper plan than Airtel to survive because other than that they have nothing to boast about. My Airtel 256kbps Unlimited broadband costs me 999 + taxes and am using it for past 2 years and very happy with the speeds, up-time and above all customer service. And the best part of the Airtel connection is that after 11pm the speed doubles. I get download speeds of more than 35kBps (kiloBytes/sec). And torrent download speeds can shoot-up to 50-55kBps.

Friends.. I have this Xilisoft 3gp Converter FULL Version (Cracked) v3.1.7. I tried uploading the 14.5 mb software to Rimweb but it took a hell lot of time and then it failed. Is it the right thing to eject the miniSD card from your phone while it is switched on ? My friends say its not right and can damage or hang your phone. Nokia manuals dont mention anything..

Whats the difference between buying the phone 6265 from a Reliance WebWorld or buying it from a Nokia Priority Dealer ? Wud I gain or loose something.. ? and which is the right option to go for ?

The customer care guys are indeed dodos but I am sure there must be someone (some employee) from Reliance Comm who knows very well of RimWeb.in and that person follows our posts regularly. Since the launch of Nokia 6265 this person saw that people are enjoying WAP soo much and discussing and showing screenshots of WAP on various posts. He must have taken this idea to ADA and shown him..hey this is where you can tap the customers and earn a few more bucks. No use calling customer care. I have seen half of them dont even know how to speak english.. so forget them being technical enough to answer our queries. Regards Mainak

The software is a File Manager, FTP Client, File Encryption, Text Editor... and many more.. but its paid... http://www.bermin.net/index.html It does not password protect folders but you can encrypt them.. I havent tried out the software cos I dont have N6265 or any J2ME enabled phone.. There is a trial available.. so you can try... and provide feedback There is another J2ME ... I saw that in news channel.. There is the bearded Reliance spokesperson .. some Technology head (dont remember exactly) was speaking about this.. No company will dump existing users on an existing network just like this.. In case you had not heard the Reliance spokesperson on any of the news channels when this GSM decision was taken.. here is what he said.. he said that though Reliance will switch to GSM.. it will continue to serve its existing CDMA customers and provide GSM services as well. I have a friend who has the 6270 has the battery in this set also drains out.. Didnt know 6265 had the same problems.. Will wait before I buy this new thing..

@9312211258 Abhishek Bhai.. pls note that 6280 is a GSM phone and it wont work on Reliance.. 6265 is CDMA phone.. So if you want to stick to Reliance then 6265 is the best you can get.. If you wanna shift to GSM then your choice of handsets are plenty.. Regards Mainak

Yes Puneet.. I have read each and every post in this thread... so all my phone realted questions are answered. I was actually asking about the Handset that "FEVIN-RAJ" had seen in his hand. I know N6265 is RUIM Based. My query targeted was framed wrongly.. The photos of that phone showed it was switched on.. So I wanted to know whether the phone is operating on RUIM card or its pre-provisioned as older Reliance handsets.

WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) allows you to browse the Internet through your mobile phone. Just because you have a WAP enabled phone doesnt allow you to browse the internet because the feature needs to be activated from the operator's (in this case our Reliance) side.... Nokia 6265 is a WAP enabled phone as per its feature list on Nokia website, but the million dollar question is "Is Reliance going to give such a feature to its subscribers ? " RUIM stands for "Removable User Identity Module" and is used in CDMA phones (the ones which have a RUIM slot). Its is similar to what a SIM card is used in GSM Mobiles. It stores the subscribers account information. Chek out the forum and you will get more information. Your RUIM is supposed to be used in ur RUIM enabled CDMA phone only.. It cannot be used in GSM phone.

What I feel is that.. 3 mins of video recording may be because the phone comes with a mere 64 mb miniSD card (as provided by Nokia). If we put on a 512mb or 1 Gb card, maybe the video recording time increases to much more.. I may be wrong.. What you you guys say

It seems that Reliance web guys have just copy pasted the Nokia 6265 key features from the Nokia website.. So we are not able to see Video recording. Let the first Rimweb pal get his hands on the phone.. and everything will be clear..
