Another problem now... not able to upgrade to software 1.07 Cable is not detected by windows and hence not by update and it is not able to update software. any way to solve compatibility problem with x64 OS?

I am not able to hotsync treo with my desktop. I run windows xp x64 SP2. whenever i try hotsyncing, it gives me following error: "The connection between your handheld desktop could not be established. Please check your setup and try again." am i missing something ?? All i have done is, installed hotsync manager 6.2 connected treo to pc using usb cable. and pressed hotsync button on the usb cable. Guys, Since past 3 - 4 days am getting strange problem in my N6265 handset. My address book is almost full. Now, whenever i compose a message and try to select particular number from address book, few name does not appear in the list. When i check same name from address book, it is visible. Anyone else came across same situation? Can this be rectified by updating Firmware? At first place, can we get firmware of N6265 updated? If so, how and where?

Guys, J2ME will soon have API for radio grabbing. Using those API one can develop his / her own FM Radio Receiver. I wish this API comes very very soon... U can search for MMAPI for J2ME if u like to have more info bout it. Monji.

Hi, There is one more phone from Reliance coming with almost same features. Its LG Chocolate. Dun have more info about it right now. But will soon post u details as and when i receive. Meanwhile u can search for this handset on Google. Only problem with N6265 is its SMS storage capacity. which i feel LG ppl wud have sorted. Coz i was able to store 130 sms without any memory on my olg LG handset. If the chocolate handset has more memory for sms then its a good choice. But yeah, LG may not be supported by all the games and apps which are available for N6265. So lets just start gathering info about it. Guys, Has anyone tried talking to nokia ppl regarding sms storage probem of N6265?? I called them up on 30303838 but cud not get trhu. will soon try it out. May be they have any firmware update to allow us storing more sms. If u guys have more info bout it then plz share. Monji.

I too had a similar problem yeasterday but then it started working on its own too.... My Mobile Camera Stopped working totally.. It still is with Nokia Service Center and i may get it back next week... My poor baby 6265..

how old is ur handset and what is the condition?? battery discharge time and physical damage?? i was offered 1600/- for my handset.

Hi Vaibhav, Visit Nokia Care Center at Phoenix Mills. They will let u know if it is solvable instantly. Usually they keep handset for 8 days and give u back if repaired. If it goes for replacement then it takes 1 month and may be more. So, be prepared for getting ur number transfered to some other handset. I just passed through the phase as my N6265 camera was not working. Had a tough time but now guess am out of the first phase of trouble. Monji

Good News Guys, Finally I got my number transfered to my old handset and now i can send my N6265 for servicing. It happened like this. At around 4:15 i received a call from Chairman's Office regarding my HCC problem. Thing is that our new N6265 is not getting registered properly into Reliance Server. So i had to reprogram the handset and then the HCC card work smooooothly and my number got transfered in just 15 mins. That fellow explained me the procedure very well. I also asked them about two problems that i saw in 6265. 1. WAP ACCESS: I got reply that WAP is ready to use and launch. But some business parameters are required to be defined and its distribution channels are to be guided for this service. Approx time frame is 1 month but can extend depending on the management decisions and environment affecting the decision. 2. SMS CAPACITY: He said, this issue will be forwarded to technical team and the resolution will be provided to the user on early basis. So now my mail did its work on time. Now i will give my handset to Nokia Cae at phoenix Mills and wait for the camera to work again.. Yuppieee And one more thing would iscuss with u all is that, can we find an appropriate way to deliver the SMS storage problem to Nokia as well??? Let us all try both the sides and bring this point ahead. Coz i feel if these two issues resolved 6265 is one of the best peices in CDMA. Even i tested its performance with N70 and found it very satisfactory. Inface am glad that i have N6265 and not N70. Just that this is not a Symbion OS handset. But we have ways to tickle the system. Guys, I have been in real big trouble now. I went to BrightPoint NOKIA Care center yesterday for my camera problem. They said that i will have to put the handset for service atleast for 8 days. If its repairable then i will get it back after 8 days and if it goes for replacement then it may take 1 to 1 and a half month. So, yesterday evening only i bought a handset change card and this morning i tried to revert back to my old handset which is LG RD 5130. While doing step 1, i got a message that my request could not be processed and i shall contact customer care on *333. I did so and asked the CCE out there. In reply she put me twice on hold to consult her TL and finally made a complaint taking my OLD RSN and NEW RSN and the HCC Card PIN NUMBER. I do not know when will i get the issue resolved and i will be able to send my N6265 for service. Please help me getting out of this mess. How can i have my standby mobile till the time my N6265 is in service. And if i dnt receive any feedback from Reliance Customer Care, whom shall i approach to get things done. I went to NOKIA Care and they said its a hardware failure. So ur trick of switching it off and on wont work. Thanks for it. May be it worked in 6255 becoz it was not a hardware failure and was just minor malfunction.

Guys, Since Sunday night am facing a big trouble. My N6265 Camera is not working. Whenever I try to start camera, it gives error message saying "Operation Failed" and the next screen appears of Camera on standby. I can not do anything to camera after that. I can change its settings and everything. Could it be a Firmware problem?? Or it is a hardware problem?? Has anyone faced similar kind of problem?? How shall i proceed further to get it rectified?? Guys, Problem faced at once place will be at almost everywhere in India. As Reliance has their HQ at Mumbai and has all major servers and switches including routers at DAKC only. Rest all switches and routers work as slave to the main one. And they have only 2 Call Center across India. One is at DAKC and ther other one at Calcutta.

Guys, I found one more way to store SMS in N6265. What you can do is: 1. Write a .txt file on ur PC. (Write ur sms in that file the way u want.. make sure characters are available in Mobile. I dnt know if any not available.) 2. Transfer it on Mobile via IR, BT, or USB. 3. Open it and then save it as Note. (U can do this under Option by pressing Left Soft Key.) 4. Now go to Notes, Open this note and u will see option of "Send Note" and bingo... U can send it as message too.. now i do not know exactly how many notes can be created. But if u can create notes based on MiniSD Card's Size then we have lots and lots of SMS storage capacity. NOTE: Please make sure that the text file is below 160 character in length, as it can be saved longer in notes, but when u will try sending it, it will show message that data length too long, delete # characters. Guys, Please try this out and also add up ur own knowledge about it as i cud not spend much time after research. Happy SMSing via Notes. Monji

I did this just to see how many I could store. I did not delete any of the messages that came neither did I delete any of the delivery reports. and I forwarded all the jokes to all my friends. There were 2 messages in my archives and 1 in another folder. I was able to store a total of 130 messages when it started saying... No more space for new messages. I am not sure if presence of templates would affect but I have deleted them anyhow. 1. Which Color to buy? (Silver, Black or Silver-Black) You dont have a choice. I dont think black is available, so you wil have to have silver only. The grey silver looks good at least to me. 2. How much extra memory to buy? (512MB or 1GB - Is 1GB working smoothly?) I have just bought 1 GB card. cant tell you right now. but others have used 1 GB and are OK with it. 3. Is RUIM card coming with N6265 default package? If not then how can i get it? It is given along with the phone. 4. Any settings which can improve the performance and other utilities about the baby. You will know as and when you use this phone as to what suits you. 5. Any other tips u wud like to give. You are buying this phone on your own responsibilty. All that has been mentioned here on the forum is the individual experience and opinion of members. Hi Tanveer, Have u actually stored 130 SMS in ur mobile??? Though u wrote means it has to be correct but as am all confused today coz tomorrow am gonna buy this baby.. so just for verification ... can u tell me how many sms are stored where in ur mobile? I mean how many in Inbox, Outbox, Archieve (if available), and in templates.. Thanks.
