Want To Remove My Cdma Number From Sprint Blackberry 8830 And Use Only For Gsm Blackberry..
Basant replied to varunmaru's topic in BlackBerry
Dear Experts I have a CDMA postpaid number which I was using originally on Nokia 6265. Later I purchased Mogul 6800 from Dheerajbhai who configured my existing Reliance cdma post number on it. I stopped using Nokia 6265. Few months later I purchased one BB 8830 from Sadikbhai who configured same CDMA number on a RUIM. I had to use my Nokia 6265 to transfer some data from old Nokia SIm to RUIM. Any was my cdma worked fine for some time on BB both in ruim mode as well as hard programmed. Later I started using BB only for GSM and RIM cdma on Mogul. Few days back I tried using cdma on BB (after switching off Mogul) and found that it is not working. Message says contact Customer Care. I tried using same cdma number on Nokia 6265 and get the same message. Ofcourse, it is working fine on Mogul 6800. have I run in to any ESN issue? What I need to do to get cdma post paid working on BB? Now that data is working on BB in cdma mode, i am planning to use my BB 8830 for cdma post paid and buy another handset fro GSM. Experts may please guide me...........Thanks in advance..... -
Thanks savramesh................. All of them work on BB 8830? how do we load these applications into bb?

I have a sprint BB 8830 WE purchased from Sadik. I am using it on CDMA. All of a sudden, my BB has become one sided. When I dial a number, I am unable to hear nothing....neither ringtone nor any conversation. Ofcourse the called person is able to listen me. However, if I turn loudspeaker on, I am able to hear ring / conversation. I tried the following; switched-off BB and switched on again. Changed mode to GSM. But the problem persists. What could be the problem? How to set it right? Pls. help me............. -

I am having Nokia 6265 on Reliance CDMA and time has come to replace it. This time I am planning to buy a handset to be used primarily for official / business use. I will use new handset with my existing postpaid RIM CDMA. My basic uses are Voice, SMS, Emails, net surfing. Little of music when I am on travel. Camera is not very essential. My budget between 12K to 17K. I have seen several reviews of BlackBerry (BB) & HTC phones here. Not being a techie, I can understand very little of tweaking. Hence, I would prefer to have a phone which needs minimum tweaks and works smoothly once setup. Reliability is important as I use only one phone. Should I go for BB or any HTC model? Can I get Email / Net surfing on my existing CDMA postpaid with HTC Moghul or Touch? Or I need BB for the same? Pls. forgive me for these basic questions. My knowledge is really very limited. I am sure experts like mufaddalkm, Sadikk, Dekaile will respond and suggest me few handsets. I will not mind switching over to GSM (with new handset) if there is any more economical solution for my usage. Thanks in advance friends..................

Thanks mufaddalkm for response and sorry for "spamming"

Friends....I am using a Nokia 6265 since last 3 years. It has now developed a displace problem. May be it is time that i replace a handset. My options are: (a) Buy a good handset as permanent replacement ( like HTC or Palm trio) i use phone mostly for business ( Buy a cheap handset having RUIM/ SIM Card provision for use until 6265 is repaired. Reliance is migrating to GSM. Is it worthwhile to spend too much on CDMA handset? What do you think? Give me ideas please...

Thanks Dhiraj.... I will surely go for Palm.

Wow..... so rich inputs. Thanks everyone It is true that there has been deterioration in Reliance quality over last few months. But GSM will also not guarantee ant quality of services. In Orissa Reliance runs GSM also and the service is worst, even inferior then BSNL. By the way my handset had display problem. Usual problem in all slider phones. Went to Nokia Care, paid Rs. 1500 bucks and in 2 hrs the handset is working. I am now really interested in Palm Treo 755p that everyone is talking about. My only issue is its availability & service at Bhubaneswar. Moreover, as i see from review / posts, it needs a techie brain to get the best out of it. Unfortunately i am a novice in this regard. How would I cope with it?

Can I use my existing RUIM in 6265 with LG3600? I am based at Bhubaneswar. Where from I can get Mogul or Treo 755p? From Reliance WW?

I too have Nokia 6265 and want to use it for netsurfing through my laptop. I have installed Nokia PC suite on my laptop and I share image, pic, music files in laptop through bluetooth connectivity. My laptop is connected to office LAN / internet (leasedline). How do I use 6265 for internet through laptop when I am away from office? Do I need to instal RConnect software? I tries installing RConnect once. It dod not work. Rather it created all sorts of problems in my office LAN connectivity. I had to remove it. Any one can help me with step-by-step guide? Thanks in advance.............

I agree with tanveer..... we need to ask specifically WAP surfing charges for DAPO / Other users.

Reliance has old habit of duping customers. First they sold us GTRAN handsets which had no service/ spare facilities in India. Now they did same thing with Nokia 6265.
-
Reliance is a bunch of idiots, liars, cheats.....all included in One It is now headed by a bade-baap-ka-beta who cares a damn for customers...
-
This is the best way of paying-off for the daily harassmenets being caused to millions of customers by Reliance. Keep up it up friends.....Let Ambani realise the agonies.....
-
My be we can flood Chairman's office with complaints on WAP through email?
-
Is it possible to surf/use internet on my Laptop connected through N-6265 via infrared/bluetooth? Or cable connectiity is must? Surfing without RConnect possible?

A Great visionary, no doubt...... Who could dream of a mobile call at the cost of a post card 10 years back? He thought of even illeterates using RIM, thus expanding the scope and the target market. Every thing has turned just that way....... Guys at Havard, Stanford need to learn lessoons from Dhirubhai. Unfortunately, Anil does not seem to have any of his qualities.....

Inspired by the features and motivated by highly informative reviews & support by friends here, today i changed over to N-6265. I am still exploring mode. Een Nokia site does not have the information, tips, tricks and what not that is available in this Forum for N-6265. Thanks and keep it up friends......... By the way... I wanted to change my profile and indicate my newly owned possession. Profile still has no option for N-6265. Mods....pls take care......thanks

screen side of the handset. This part is always most difficult to repair.

I had GTRAN till lasy year. Good set with poor battery. Reliance has no spares or support for this set. Take my advise, break this set-screen in particular. Ask for repair/replacement from reliance as it is under warranty. They would have no choice but to offer you another set and the price you paid for GTRAN will be adjusted. BTY, I did just that... advised by a friend who works in Reliance. Got LG 6130 as replacement.
