few days back i read somewhere that reliance has been forced to pay ADC (some thing like that) to Govt. on handset cost too, becoz it is bundling handsets as a part of its service. so relaince may be under pressure to delink handset from service. it would be best for the consumer if he gets freedom to buy handset from open market and purchase a connection from any service provider/relaince just like gsm. i belive even now the TRAI rules provide for this option but operators like reliance hardly care for TRAI/govt.

The phone/emails of ambani brothers are listed nowhere. even not in parliament records where anil is MP. however anil ambani has a website as MP. can we tell him our grievences and ask him to take up these issues as an MP against his own company? His listed numbers in New Delhi are MTNL/RIM phones. (free sarkari phones). But his numbers in Mumbai are all MTNL phones. Why the great Ambani does not use RIM. May be as a RIM user he might have undergone same trauma that we face. the website has a facility to call him (RIM number-call centre). it also lists his email id.

*333 is a big farce. full of contradictions and confusions. one can never take them on face value. real problem lies somewhere else. as a default most of reliance plans, schemes, offers are non-transparent. many hidden thing between lines which gives ample scope for multiple interpretaitons. so the guys at .333, RWW and CC Executives say differently for the same matter. my view is that this is being done deliberately. or else why no steps to improve things? i have stopped calling *333 long back. i have no time and patience to call, wait for 5-6 minites to get connected to Executive, prove that i am genuine (bull****) person, explain again and again..to be told that they would look in to it... RWW is much better in that respect, i guess. these days they rarely respond to emails, even if sent to Chairman's office.

this forum should admit only genuine RIM users. so be sure of this, every member must disclose his/her RIM number to the forum/admn. such a step would prevent any mis use of forum and every one would behave in a responsible manner. do u agree with me?

what ever may be reason, is it good ethics to demand payment without sending bill? or decativate services without any notice? we are constantly on move and one must get atleast be given 24 hrs. notice before barring of services. let relaince give through checking before giving post-paid connection. You can not treat every one like a thief yaar. i know few cases where people owing 40-60 crore business, got thrtening calls from reliance asking for immediate payment and got sick of thier life to find handset deactivated within next 3 hours. -
Durga pooja is celebrated through out country in different forms.so it is logical that the pooja offer is given to all and not just Kol custome.to me this is unfair.reliance should consider for giving to all.

DAPO Offer document said; The offer made no distinction between Reliance mobile phone or any other phone like FWP/T. After luring customers in to 3 years of contract bondage, Reliance introduced FWP/T. Reliance's current interpretation of DAPO is narrow and excludes all non-RIM phones. So we are scr**d. DAPO is a smart business tact with all hallmarks of Ambanis on it. Never trust Reliance again in life. Do we have ne other option but to pay?

I am told by a knowledgeable friend that Reliance Infocomm hold the records for; a. Highest ever bad debt provision made by any telecom company in India b. Largest number of bounced cheques drawn against any company in India. Three cheers for Reliance...............!

When Reliance IndiaMobile was launched in Jan-Feb, 03, Reliance Infocomm in its product launch Brochure had made following committments with regards to quality of Customer Service. I have retained a copy of the brochure. In last 15 months of use, not even once my call to customer care has been handled within 30 seconds. One has to wait as long as 5 to 7 minites to get connected to Customer Care Executive. Worst, not a single time the problem has been resolved within 48 hours. I would like to know response of other users. Is it not default in quality of service? Can not we demand quality of customer care as per committment? Can we approach TDSAT/TRAI/Consumer courts to enforce? What do u feel about this?

these days even the chairman's office is useless. Just sweet talks and no resolution of issues.

I too use GTRAN and share the same feelings. Reliance lured us to GTRAN handset without telling us its short comings. I see no point in blaming each other. We can not throw the handset now. Therefore the question is how to get the bugs removed. May be we should ask Reliance who sold us this set. As seller they too have some responsibility.

It is well documented by Arun Shourie, Gurumurthy etc. how Ambani empire is built on manupulation and fraud. This is what RIM customers have been experiancing for past one year. So the news of Reliance manupulating call records to avoid paying IUC is no surprise to us. As it has happened in past, nothing would happen to Reliance in this case becoz of its power and deep pockets. My GOD bless India..................... -
Talk firm and make it clear that u r not going to pay till they furnish details in support of claim. Pay u r bill after deducting unsupported claims. Let them run after you rather u chasing them. Send email with follow-up every week.

I checked DAPO Plan document which clearly says free subcrption to RWorld is part of the plan. let us hope Reliance will keep RW free for us till three years.

Apart from midi rintones, one can upload pictures also and use as wallpaper in GTRAN. Searching a numer is a big prob. in GTRAN. R Connect is OK.

I have few doubts/clarifications on R Connect scheme. 1. Is R Connect free for DAPO Plan customers? 2. Those who have been using R Connect from last one year are required to pay monthly subscription of Rs. 200 now? Is it a default plan for those who activated before July,04? 3. Is monthly R Connect subscrption payable irrespective of R Connect use or non-use in any particular month? Does one pay Rs. 200 even if he has not used R Connect or used only for a few minutes? 4. If the monthly subscription is based on subscription (*412)/unsubscription (*4120), can we just subscribe when it is to be used. Will Reliance charge proportinate charges for the period of subscrption or for the whole month? 5. Is it possible for DAPO customers to subscribe to R Connect Zero Rental plan and offset plan 400 minutes against RConnect datacalls? In that case would it be 40 paise/minute or Rs 1 per minute? If is is Rs. 1 per minute, would it be offset against Rs. 400 or payable extra like off-net charges? 6. If the default plan for DAPO users is zero rental, how come we are getting bills with Monthly RConnect Subscrption charges @ Rs. 200 per month? I have asked these questions to RCC, RWW guys. Unfortunately I got contradictory relies. I really doubt if any one in Reliance has clear idea about these issues. Can any one provide clarifications on above?

While RConnect is chargeable now, RWorld is still free. Some one tells me, it is possible to connect Phone/PC to internet through RWorld and surf free. Is it so? Any techie tell us how to surf free using RWorld?

I suggest Saurav draft a mail to TDSAT/TRAI with CC to Reliance Infocomm and all of us will send the same individually. A copy of the same could be kept here in Forum. After sending we may keep following the same till its logical conclusion. We may also send copies to Rajyalakshmi Rao, Member, National Consumer Disputes Redressal Committee. Agree?

I agree...reliance revolutionalised mobile market in India. ..... they are no doubt pioneers and a big BRAND now. However, it is also a fact that reliance customer service is worst one has come across..initial 6 months period was in honeymoon. there has not been much improvement therefater. The worst part is that reliance is fast loosing customer trust. On several matters reliance has breached its committments to customers. This is big minus with Reliance.......
