On his first day he was inside a church taking photographs when he Noticed a golden telephone mounted on the wall with a sign that read "$10,000 per call". The American, being intrigued, asked a priest who was strolling by what The telephone was used for. The priest replied that it was a direct line to heaven and that for $10,000 you could talk to God. The American thanked the priest and went along his way. Next stop was in Japan. There, at a very large cathedral, he saw the Same golden telephone with the same sign under it. He wondered if this was the same kind of telephone he saw in China and He asked a nearby nun what its purpose was. She told him that it was a direct line to heaven and that for $10,000 He Could talk to God. "O.K., thank you," said the American. He then traveled to Pakistan , Srilanka , Russia , Germany and France . In every church he saw the same golden telephone with the same "$10,000 Per call" sign under it. The American, upon leaving Vermont decided to travel to up to India to See if Indians had the same phone. He arrived in India , and again, in the first church he entered, there Was the same golden telephone, but this time the sign under it read "One Rupee per call." The American was surprised so he asked the priest about the sign. "Father, I've traveled all over World and I've seen this same goldenTelephone in many churches. I'm told that it is a direct line to Heaven, But in the US the price was $10,000 per call. Why is it so cheap here?" Readers, it is your turn........ Hope this helps Hi Amit Oberoi You can very well transfer your old no to this handset by using HCC. I have done it and my old no. from 6265 was transferred to this handset without any hassels. Please do the HCC once the invoice of the handset is raised by reliance. And as far as wifi i did not get the time to check it. But sync is working with the cable I tried using bluetooth and infrared but could not get through. I will be trying it some time later when i am free. Hi Kshah Thanks for the link for download. I will unzip it and install the softwares.
  10. Firmware Version Of 7135

PST link is not working. Please help
  11. Which software you want? TCPMP is free for download. you think sprite back up will be useful for windows 2005 mobiles? I have following software 1. Convertor calculator Supports many types of conversion. 2. Sprite back up 3. Air scanner anti virus 4. Opera browser (Good browser but need to buy) 5. Resco explorer (File xplorer has functionalities equal to desktop explorer) 6. PHM registry editor (Useful for registry tweaks) 7. VITO VOice dialer (Instead of using stupid microsoft voice commands, this is just like mobile dialer, where it recognize your voice as recorded) 8. extended rom unlocker, allows you to add programs in extended rom, so that your favorite programmes gets installed automatically after hard reset. Not very useful if using sprite back up, there are possibility of damaging and deleting required softwares too. 9. Pocket mechanic, it allows you to over clock your PDA, registry cleaning like system mechanic. 10. Pocket CAD (Autocad like) 11. Netfront browser trial version I want the following softwares Serail No. 1, 2, 3, 5, & 7. Anybody is intrested in buying this handset. I can arrange for one at Hubli, but the bill will come in my name. it is 33k for this PDA and no discount is being offerred.
  12. Thanks Internet explorer is good to use. you can launch internet explorer easily with a button on the side. Browsing is fast. When you slide the keyboard the display automatically adjusts to landscape. you can also change the orientation of display using the shortcut at the right bottom of the screen. Battery life also can be easily checked using a shortcut at the right bottom. Activesync works perfectly and i have loaded all my contacts and other things from my 6265 to the laptop and from there to the PDA without any hassels. I have got softwares for the 02 XDA ii s and will be installing them on this PDA sometime today evening and will let know after that. Windows media player is working fine. But I feel it does not spport some formats. I have already put a screen guard. The 02 screen guard perfectly fits this PDA and i paid Rs. 20/- for that in hubli. The pouch that has come as a package is good, but i don't use it as i prefer holding in my hand or place it on my table. Not much ring tones available but i beleive can be loaded via activesync or memory card. not yet tried. email sending and receiving is good. I could not locate the permanent save feature as found on the o2 xda iis. connecting to the net using wireless modem was easy for the laptop. the speed matches that of the data card No printing software is provided. but i beleive we can install one provided by HP as we have a mini USB port on the PDA. will have to check what all printers are supported. Inserting and ejecting memory card is easy. i tried a 2GB card and it is working fine. I beleive we should not have any hassels using a 4GB card. Bluetooth and infrared are working fine. I transferred file from laptop using infrared. nokia bluetooth headset also worked fine. I would definately recommend it for people who are on the move. Price is comfortable as all the other PDA's (GSM) also fall in the same price range. Will give more info as i use it For playing various media, try using TCPMP, its open source free ware. And really good, supports many formats http://tcpmp.corecodec.org I thnik on windows 2005 you do not require permanent save. Still if needed try using Sprite Back up, which backs up every thing. I am using it on my 6600 and it is scheduled to back up everything at 900 PM, so in case of crash or hard reset, everything including installed programes are restored. It back up program files, system files, registry, messages, call history and contacts as well as all data bases. If you want any of these programs, let me know, Also you can put few programs in extended rom, so that necessary programes are always installed when you do hard reset. As far as i have been told by top people at reliance this handset is being offered to corporates who have been shortlisted for the first phase. in the second phase they will be targeting people who use high end phones. Thanks for the infornation kshah. Pleae send me the programs at mahendra@yashinternational.co.in or mahendra@mandeepmarble.com Hi tanveer i will post pictures of this handset after two days as i am travelling. The pictures on the informnation pages of utstarcom are very similar to the actual handset.

  14. I bought this handset pda from reliance hubli karnataka for rs 33000/- yesterday morning. Only two phones have come to hubli and i was one of the enterprise customer. The billing can be done only for corporates registered with reliance. I think i am the first to buy this handset as only 50 handsets have been released for karnataka as told by top people at reliance. the handset is pretty good and has come with a limited offer of one 256 MB mini SD card and a car charger for free. It is not ruim enabled and i used HCC to transfer my old no. from 6265 without any hassels. It has got great data plan packs like 499 for 500mb 649 for 1GB and unlimited for 999. This is the first time reliance is giving you a data plan with your voice plan on RIM. earlier the data plan was for only data cards. The PDA has come with all the accessories like cradle, USB cable, Travel Charger, User manual CD and windows mobile 5 CD with outlook express. You can also use word, excel and powerpoint. Zip utility has been included. It is smooth silver in colour. The keyboard is easy to use and not like o2 XDA IIs The phone is much lighter than o2 XDA IIs. Camera is 1.3 MP and gives good pictures. (not as good as 6265) I have been using it from yesterday and operation is similar to using any PDA with windows mobile 5. All features are there. I was waiting a long time for this kind of phone in reliance. I am attaching a file where there are more details about the testing and comparison of other PDA's by reliance I am not able to attach the file. The file is 860 KB in size.
  15. Any Body Knows About Express Card

I am in touch with top reliance people and they do not know anything about express card. Sierra wireless has just recently released the express card and forus to get it will take time as reliance has to import it. So for the time being i am using my 6265 with bluetooth for internet and my sierra card is lying waste. With compaq you are getting free usb based data card. I have not yet claimed my e coupon from HP
  16. Dth Talk

I have also installed dish TV maxi package and really happy with the service. I paid Rs 3550/- including installation + four movies free worth Rs 200/- for Movie On Demand. I would also advice to go in for Dish TV as it is already stabilised I also checked out tatasky and found that they are charging Rs 200/- for 55+ channels whereas you can pay Rs 300/- for 160+ channels
  17. All About Nokia 6265

I too faced the same problem often in my earlier 6255 and to rectify that i used to switch off the phone and remove the battery for 5 mins and restart and the camera started working. I have not faced this problem in 6265 till now. My battery is draining very fast. my life timer is showing 153:48 in the last 30 days. Is it because of my usage or something else. I do not use WAP or R world and very less sms
  18. All About Nokia 6265

There is a option of group messaging and also send to many with which you can send a message to 10 numbers at a time. There is a option in the message menu to create a distribution list and the list can be 10 people.

  20. R-world Draning The Battery Of N6265 ?

Yeah Tanveer, I have drained and recharged my battery 3 times till now. Guess have to do it 2 or 3 more times to get optimum results. Same here as my usage is very high i am charging the battery twice daily. I have already charged more than 20 times and my battery has completly drained at least ten times

After entering the menu go to NAM1, select alpha tag and change it there And the option in media player to fast forward or rewind does not work even after setting the interval time. If somebody has done it please let us know which button has been used to FF & RR
  23. All About Nokia 6265

I had read on the nokia website featuring this particular phone that the phonebook can store 500 entries. Am surprised to read here that only 250 can be stored. Am still thinking whether to buy or not to buy now. Have pasted the contents of that page here for ur reference...or you can visit... http://www.nokia.co.in/nokia/0,,87156,00.html Call Management Large contact storage: 500 phonebook entries Enhanced Voice Dialing Integrated handsfree speaker WRT battery...i guess it might have something to do with network. It was same with many phone. May improve with time... Request guys to see whats there and whats not available on the phone... Thanks I have already stored 383 contacts in the address book and my memory status of the phone still shows 25% free that means the storage capacity is 500 My 6265's baterry lasts me only for half a day. Somebody has a solution for this Well there is a difference in understanding. You can store 500 names in the Nokia 6265 handset and 250 names in the UIM card.So total you can store 500 + 250 =750. @Schaumi Are you sure that we can store upto 750 entries in address book?? Am talking about fully qualified entried. It means if i store two number for same name it shall not reduce the entry for me. One more thing to ask is for SMS numbers. How many sms can be stored in device?? Is it possible to store sms on Memory Card?? Plz try to figure out max number of sms... As far as battery is concerned its ok. If this device gives real nice features then battery can be replaced in front of features. Thanks Yes the 6265 can store totally 750 contacts Take your LG handset to LG service centre and get the .csv format file of your contacts import the file to outlook and then use sync in pcsuite to transfer the contacts to your 6265 Dear, The SMS storage count on the super hyped 6265 is a measly 60 to 70 on the handset and 10 on the RUIM. Just imagine spending 17 grand and then not having enough memory for SMSs. Nokia and Reliance have joined hands together to F**K up this fone. As KOK has suggested earlier in this post, delete the templates and maybe the count will go upto 130???? I have deleted all the templates now and the Inbox is still not yet filled up though my SMS count is about 80 now. Will post on the exact count as and when my Inbox reports full. However, this 6265 is not SMS friendly as say a LGRD 6230. That was really good. Believe me. Maybe the new series of LMS LG mobiles all have the same easy user interface for SMS. And 6265 does not have LMS also.(only sending atleast as Reliance does not offer more than 160 character SMSs at all.) Hope you are satisfied. @schumi, 1. My RUIM has only 150 names capacity, how come yours has 250 names. Are you sure? If yes, then what should I do to get 100 more names capacity? what is the SMS count on the RUIM if your names storage capacity is 250? Is it 20 or more? 2. *3001#12345# will help those who want to change the network name from"Reliance" to any other of their choice. But the downside is that the Sleep light (blue blinking one) will not work. 3. And yes, the roaming triangle did not work when I was roaming outside my home circle today. And also the call duration timers showed only home calls timers and the roaming duration timers shows only 00.00.00 always in both received and dialled calls. I shall report and post here all that I experience as and when it happens. Thanks to all. I had changed the network name very first day i got the handset. But my sleep light is working correctly
  24. All About Nokia 6265

All D nokia CDMA phone r RUIM enabled but not flashed (activated) to work.Till now reliance dosent prefer ruim so its not flashed.Tata preferred, therefore d same models (as reliance) r flashed because they r ready to offer all facility avalable in d phone without removing d avalable features. I have a 6235 bought from a Nokia Priority Dealer and the phone when turned on asks for the UIM card. I used my existing 6265 RUIM card and it is not accepted.
