Thanks for the info dude. Checked out their website and was pretty impressed with their CDMA+GSM handset offering a talktime of 10 hours. Added to that it is a no camera phone upgradable upto 8GB. Perfect!!!!!!!! Was looking out for a phone like this from a long time. checked with the guy here and these handsets are GSM only.

jain saheb, hope by this time you have purchased the handset.. pls share your views & experiance regarding the handset.. i tried to get through any dealer of LAVA mobiles here in lucknow, but unable to find one.. Regards' ....aalok not yet i have been talking to the area manager RAJESH here in hubli from the day i posted this and he told me that stocks are available but has not supplied me. He just keeps on telling that he will deliver it to me. When i had asked him he told me that the handsets kkt11 and kkt22 are cdma / gsm handsets. Bt i myself am not clear as i have not got the handset.

With help of Hetal we have sucessfully converted the HUAWEI Data card to RUIM. Steps 1. Read the SPC of your data card using bitpim 2. Use CDMA workshop and connect to the correct com port 3. unlock the card by sending the SPC in the security TAB 4. select the "other" tab 5. read ruim setting from phone and you will get NV only 6. Change it to "RUIM if Avail" and write back to card restart your data card with a RUIM and you will boot up with the RUIM No. If you remove the RUIM you can boot up with the data card number

@prakashkadam I flashed hetal's F rom today morning on my friends ppc 6700. and after hard reset it was working fine. Then i remembered your problem and used pimbackup to restore the sms, tasks, appointments, etc. after restoration and soft reset the phone lost the network. Again i hard reset the ppc 6700 and it is working fine now

PPC 6700 is working absoluterly fine with F ver

This has happenned with me also in my original reliance ppc 6700 after upgrade to f verison if you restore pim backup you will lose the network. just reflash the phone and use activsync to get your contacts back. should work fine. mine working fine on f ver upgrade

I have successfully loaded the software for MMS from arcsoft and changed the server settings. I am able to receive MMS but not able to send. Can anyone give the details of MMS server settings for reliance like gateway, Port, Doain and WAP verision

Copy all the exe and dll files from hetals rom into kervin's folder and rewrite ( Do not copy radio.nbf, ms.nbf & nk.nbf). Now run the program and you will not get the country error

Hi all Received the handset just now Looks almost like N73. Even I had the Problem of alignmnet in c ver and d ver of hetal. But in D ver it was only for the first time after upgrade. After a Second hard reset and alignment there was no problem. I suggest you to do a hard reset and then flash the phone again and do a hard reset.

Looks like you have come out in between a flashing operation. I recommend you to reflash it with the ROM and remove phone after you finish the complete flashing and hard reset

Hi Hetal I had used sms backup to backup my sms before upgrading. And since you have removed sms backup in the D verison i request you to upload the sms backup cab file so that i can restore my sms's. Next time i will use PIM backup so no further issues.

He also mentioned that there is a hack to change the camera from 1.3 to 2.0 megapix's? Is there such a beast? Hetal has already adjusted the camera to superfine mode which is equivalent to 2MP camera

I have two PPC 6700 which i bought from reliance for 33K. (I was the first one to buy from Reliance in Karnataka) ( Banglaore still has a stock of 33 Pcs) I was the first person to Upgrade my Orginal Reliance PPC 6700 with Kervin's No Junk ROM and after that Hetal also flashed it and then he started building custom ROM fo all of us (Keep up the Good Work Hetal). I have flashed it Almost 12 times. Both my phones are working perfectly alright. I had bought 3 more from Sadik and they are also working fine As for Warranty, I do not care. Even if something happens to the handset in the warranty period, just flash it back with the original AKU 2.2 and take it to UTStarcom Service Centre and they will not even come to know that you had upgraded the ROM anytime. @ vishal Just Flash Hetal's ROM and all your issues will be solved.
