I Got a message from reliance. They said that in browsing on r-world will be charged at 10ps per 10KB and FOR DAPO customers it is FREE!! hurray!!

Well...w.r.t the misi sd card...u can safely remove it when the phone is on....The only thing u should be careful is that the sd card should not be in reading or writing mode while doing so. else it might hang or damage the card

I have faced similar problems with CC on the same issue. Even my phone was purchased in April 2003 and when i called up customer care for the scheme changeover details of DAPO offer, they said your phone services started from July 2003. Its very strange. They have a very SAD customer service cell. I really appreciate the Customer service cells of other operators like Airtel or Hutch. They act so promptly. With regard to "system upgradation", I guess that is just a bahana which they use as shield to protect themselves. From three years every other day there is a system upgradation. Its high time they do something about it. On a lighter side...i would like u guys to watch this video on call centers. Its a deviation off topic...but its what our plight is... very well highlighted.... http://www.callcentermovie.com/movie/movie2.html Ps: this clip will be better viewd on broadband/cable or fast connections. Dont try on dial-up. - Dharmesh @ ZAPPU Its nice to hear that your battery could last 5 days. Could u please highlight your usage in terms of mins (approx) of talk time and what applications you use. Cause my battery lasts only about 1 1/2 days at the most. My calls would be like abt 20 mins and abt 60 sms sending/recieving. Also tell us your method of charging the phone. When you would charges (on complete discharge or partial discharge) thanks Dharmesh

Thats some good news then...probably list out the phone number or email id of the chairman and then all can send complaints there. May be then they will act fast. Well...even i am having better battery life now. it lasts me two days with considerable talk time and usage. I guess the main culprit was the WAP usage and R World usage. Since i have not used the same...it seems to be giving better life.

This is a feature with all CDMA phone. It gives you the location from where your calling...or the circle from where your calling. Its usually to distinguish roaming networks. You have to live with it...you cannot change that. Dharmesh

PLease let us know if you can roam on your handset without upgrading when u go abroad. Thanx

I guess there are three colours avail in this model. But these people are not having stocks of the same around. Yesterday i bought a 6265 and the color i got is silver. How ever black is not to be seen on the radar anywhere in Bangalore. There is also a dark grey color. Here also the price is 16000 officially. Can get for lesser if you know someone outside.

Hi Can someone tell me how to transfer address book from LG 2030 to the new nokia 6265? I asked reliance and they said you cannot do that as one is an LG And the other a NOKIA. Has any one been able to do that thru r world or some other way? Please let know.

I had read on the nokia website featuring this particular phone that the phonebook can store 500 entries. Am surprised to read here that only 250 can be stored. Am still thinking whether to buy or not to buy now. Have pasted the contents of that page here for ur reference...or you can visit... http://www.nokia.co.in/nokia/0,,87156,00.html Call Management Large contact storage: 500 phonebook entries Enhanced Voice Dialing Integrated handsfree speaker WRT battery...i guess it might have something to do with network. It was same with many phone. May improve with time... Request guys to see whats there and whats not available on the phone... Thanks

Looks like by this evening the problem about sms has been solved. It also seems that from the replies, this problem was all over. Spoke to the backend for the same...these guys never have any information, or are totally ignorant, and it takes a while to make him understand what we talk. Now that the sms problem is solved...a new one has started...i keep getting the same message like 10-20 times through out the day... have had a tough time just deleting messages the whole day...

-
That is indeed sad...is there no way that we can have the back end upgrade that.. do we guys at this forum have a way of representing oursleves out there...can we place a request to them for allowing it?

1.Yes 2.No 3.No. Well regarding Reliance shifting to GSM,you can atleast expect another 1-1.5 yrs for it.And I dont think the Nokia 6265 handset will work on GSM tech even with Reliance.Anyways dont think about it too much..still a long time to go. Thanx Schumi for the reply I Am disapointed about the fact that you cannot send sms of more than 160 characters. I mean...how could nokia/reliance not give that facility on a high end phone?

HI guys... I would like to know a few things abt the 6265 before i jump to that... please let me know if: 1) it supports sms to many option 2) it allows sms to groups 3) it allows sms exceeding 160 characters in sending and receiving ALSO.. i would like to know what the stuff abt switching on to gsm system by reliance. I believe they have made a statement that they are coming out with gsm network too. IN case that is true...then what abt this handset? can we use the same one there or not.
