Dot Initiates Action On Operators For Unverified Mobile Subscribers
manishag replied to savramesh's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
nothing is going to happen. Airtel and Vodafone is doing fake activations ever since they have started there operations in india. at many locations dealers are not authorize to keep the fresh sims of Airtel/Vodafone. they are provided with the preactivated SIM cards. DOT knows it very well. I remember that DOT sends the anonymous people at the distributor place to see the document verification process. but on big retails like Go-Mobile, Mobile Adda, Phirbol pays them them a money. -
no Reliance GSM sms are not costly in Karnatka for rs 32 you will get 100x30 = 3000 SMS is way way cheaper

Updated: 11-digit Mobile Numbers By 2010 - '9’ to be prefixed to all existing numbers
manishag replied to Sadikk's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
right now they are saying that there is huge cost involve in introducing the 11 digit. yes i agree there will be huge cost if they prepend the 11th digit in the staring of the existing no. in case they append the no at the end it will not cost a lot. but there many premium nos no longer be premium in that case. once no potability will be there they will not be able to complain about the 11digit no system. and i feel that 11 digit no will take atleast 2 years from now -
Updated: 11-digit Mobile Numbers By 2010 - '9’ to be prefixed to all existing numbers
manishag replied to Sadikk's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
no i don't think so it'll create the problem. all they have to inform that just append some digit say 8 in all the existing mobile nos. so there will not be any confusion. i think they are opposing the move because Biggies like Bharti/Voda/Idea have blocked lots of nos with them by fake activations. so new operators will face problems while launching the services. This is a indirect way to restrict the new operators -
I agree that every operator is having problem and current RCDMA is localised problem. But what the problem here is the response we get when a compliant is given. Just minor maintenance should solve the network issue in my town. But they are not prepared to do it. Last 6 months back also I faced the same problem in my town and after various threats of disconnection of my 14 connections only it was solved. And now again it is like this. They are now concentrating more on GSM network. Will they take care of CDMA network as they would used to? best thing i can suggest that shoot a mail to the appelate and it will surely work. I faced network problem twice and shoot the mail with in a week my problem resolved. Customer care is useless.

it seems that Bharti is not having money to run the buisness or they have paid a lot for the election that's why they have revised the ISD rates. see the attached price list Bharti Airtel existing_customers_website.pdf new_customers_website.pdf

i use tonerline ink for my deskjet. I am using it since long and i haven't faced any problem yet. as far as refilling is concern yes it impacts the printer performance if you use the poor quality ink. when ever you purchase the ink make use it doesn't contain dust or impurity. also try to get the ink with the smallest possible pigment size. if you will purchase the ink from some good store they will be able to tell you the pigment size. in case your printer supports individual inks purchase Self Inking Units which will cost you around 1800-2000(desmat). I am using it since last 3 years with HP K550 for around 10k prints per month

Vodafone Pips Airtel In New Connections
manishag replied to savramesh's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
i would say that airtel needs to be more aggrasive in doing the fake activations -
yes it's a great idea. but how Relaince will authenticate the users if they are rimweb users. and if we put some elgibility criteria then who will manage the eligibility of the users. we need to be honest. one idea that i can think of is that we can have few rimweb representative in each area and they can authenticate the users

well name hardly matters. just go for the BIG Nokia Sign Board(they will do it for free) and Big Board from any of the popular Mobile service provider like Airtel in delhi. thats what customers are going to see and enter in your shop to purchase.

earlier i had similar experience with the Bharti Airtel Postpaid connection. I called at Appelate and properly gave them warning on the phone with typical hindi slangs. and after that i didn't recieved any call or letter

99% Of Mobile Users Are Prepaid
manishag replied to hritik123's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
there could be 99% addition in prepaid because t in Prepaid all operators do fake activations at the month end. they can't do it in postpaid because there they have to provide proper documents and verification. -
network access is poor in SE as compared to nokia

in Delhi Webworlds are telling that they will get the stocks by 24th Jan 2009. and they will give the SIM for Rs 25 with all the schemes. in Lucknow this SIM is available but the i asked two web worlds and they are giving the SIM for Rs 100 but giving the bill for Rs 25 only. means they are pocketing Rs 75 for each SIM and doing lots of black marketing
