these are the Lame excuses. i worked with all the telecome operators for organized retails. it's possible to follow the strict verification norms for the prepaid nos. we did experiment with Idea and trust me even after strict verification our Idea:Airtel:Vodafone sales in Organized retails(Delhi) were 80:15:5 approximately. per month sales hit by a single sales boy was 500 idea nos in a month.

i don't have any experience about the tata BB service but in terms of tarrif they are very funny. Like if you opted for 256Kbps plan and made the payment for 6 months then you can change the plan only after 6 months before that you won't be able to change tha plan. where as all other operators provide the switching of plan on prorata basis

I am using the Airtel BB 512 Kbps (dedicated) Unlimited @ 1299. MTNL has reduced the Broadband charges(512Kbps Unlimited 1299 with 500 free pulses) and the new charges were effective from 1st of Sep2008. so i asked them Airtel to reduce the charges 1st they didn't accepted i gave them the final warning that i am gonna surrender my no. and when i recieved my bill they charged me 1000 - regular amco discount + taxes

check you application settings. in phones you need to set the access for the application. it should be either in settings or in the installed application menu

also few more things that because of slow market you can negotiate for the brokerage. Depending upon your bargaining power they can go as low as 1 paisa for intraday and 10 paisa on delivery with the initial margin cheque of 5-10k. and collect the copy of form and POA from the broker. and before filling the form ask them to mention the brokerage on the form.
