im wonderin if this beep-beap-dead thing is happenin only with cnxns using usb ? ...does LSP340E connect thro usb or com ? i had similar problems too (lg 2030)... this was way extreme...it was friggin annoying ... the modem would beep_and_die many times when i switch on the amp or the damn light or the fan and s hit like that after these kinda beep-beep-deaths, some_of_the_times i had to fully restart to be able to rconnect again... some freaky s hit with the current switch-boxes... anyways, here's somethin interestin i noticed - such finicky beep_beep_deaths happens only when connecting thro usb, never when connecting thro com (same 2030) is this how its for u guys too... is it only for usb_connected phone ?

hey, thats nice ... actualy, im kinda givin up on this one, deepu... i coudnt find how to do such binding.... im sure its do-able and im even sure the how_to_do is out there somewhere on the net...its a matter a finding it... cant seem to get the right google search string .... this is one of the very few times google didnt ...errm, yield. so, this leaves us with the good old (no pun intented) option of asking real-life people who know...lke when we did b4 da www came on the scene ...im trying... guys please ask around...and let us know - how to 'bind' certain programs (p2p/downloads) to one cnxn and do all the browsin with the other cnxn ? (in a dual modem scenario) keep browsin
-
yes iinfi..we cannot do it with rconnect googled n googled n googled and finaly had to accept- we cannot do it unless RIL does somethin...As of now RIL does not support PPP multilinking here's an improvisation - if we cannot merge the two, can we atleast run them both parallely? like, can i sorta 'bind' certain programs (p2p/downloads) to one cnxn and do all the browsin with the other cnxn ? does anyone know how to do this, pls? this one looks easily do-able, but it seems near impposible... still googling, cant seem to find how to do this kinda binding The closest i got to was somethin called 'multihoming'...but it still doesnt do what we want. keep in touch
-
i forgot to mention - i did utilize the cnxn to the fullest extent so that the second cnxn would also be needed to be active...but its still idle-no data transfer. another thing i've been dyin to ask - in this dial-up prorerties>options, the "Multiple devices" section always remains greyed_out/unclickable... is this part of the same problem ?
-
it took a while, but i managed to follow the step-by-step instructions to set up double modem. i manually installed two "standard 33600" modems - one thro com1 and the other thro com3(usb)...next, i created two new dial-up cnxns manualy from "new connection wizard") i enabled the "Negotiate Multi-link for single link connections" in both of the dial-up cnxns but i seem to be stuck at this point - the two connections dont get merged...its like EITHER this OR that...like this although each of them connects perfectly(alone), whenever i dial the second cnxn, the first one dies. (tho not disconnected,no data transfer at all) what am i doing wrong? help pls ======================================= i wonder if some things are MISSING in my computer !!?! i remember disabling a bunch of windows "services" some time ago (supposedly for a safer and faster machine)...tho i have had no problems bcoz of this all this time, im worried if this has anything to do with my inability to multilink? like for instance this one - deepu had said about multilinking and i just cant seem to find these tabs !!! WHERE IS THIS MULTILINK TAB?? right-click on which icon? when i right click on the dial-up cnxn icon and look at the properties, these are the tabs i c - General/options/security/networking/advanced when i right click on the modem(device manager) and look at the properties, these are the tabs - General/modem/diagnostics/advanced/driver/details where is this multilink tab please (xp pro) Help me out guys... ---------------------------------------------- btw, 1. Microsoft has a help page on this procedure of multilinking HOW TO Set Up Multiple-Device (Multilink) Dialing in Windows XP 2. the "Midpoint" software doesnt seem to work with rconnect - it apparently needs STATIC ips to work with...
-
in the d/l page for rconnect software on relianceinfo.com, there seems to be some updating... the 'version' still reads 2, but the 'last updated date' is 21.03.05...not even a week. whats the word ?
-
vishal, i dont know how to post a direct link ... like, the actual peice of s/f is d/lable only after selecting OS+MODEL+USB or SERIAL and all those details...theres is going to be a lot of different combinations involved...i cannot pick the exact one u need anyways, u can start from this page and pick ur details.

hi... check out this link for a great list of publications on drug safety... The Uppsala Monitoring Center dont miss the 'viewpoint'...provides an excellent groundwork_knowledge on the issue....for everyone. Its a must_read. user posted image "pharmacovigilance" ...thats a recent terminology btw, the list of drugs banned in India can be seen at the CDSCO homepage ...the names are in generic, not the brands (paracetamol NOT dolapar) ========= edit: no no, paracetamol is NOT banned - i jus meant it to say that the real generic names of drugs are different than the brand names...and paracetamol happens to be one of the few generic names everyone knows.

WHATS THIS ? How does the "bluetooth headset for non bluetooth phones" work ?? like, bluetooth headsets are meant for bluetooth phones
-
-
cool stuff ...exciting times ahead. if we take one step back and look at the big picture, its even more exciting. bluetooth is by no way limited to phones... u can fit it onto almost anything - fridge, washing machine...u name it. this is literally "machines talking to each other"...and its all goddamn invisible

ashok, ur askin about the gprs/wap browsing_IN_the phone right? sure, thats been here ALL the time... im talkin about usin our gprs phones as modems, to let our pc connect to the net..like rconnecting with 2030. airtel has introduced this new facility with unlimited downloads for Rs.5/day...and this is not yet available in tn circle. ps: check out the first post of this thread ================================================ saurav..wtf u talking about dude ? "230 kBps" ?? as in bYtes?? ON RIM PREPAID !!! u gotta be s hittin me we dont even have 230 kbps speed. (as in bits)
-

Nice thinkin rakesh ...this is the closest i could find... Siemens SieMo S50037 Bluetooth Module this really underwrites our strap line 'Make Machines Talk'!!" im sure u can find more by googling "S50037", but i seriously doubt the economic viability of actualy buying this and fixing to 2030. U might as well buy a new bluetooth enabled phone for the probable cost. i think its targetted at companies and like, not individual users. ANYWAYS, keep ur original thinking going... i learnt somethin new today, thanx to u
