  9. Best P2p Network

hi, have got it going now? i dont think its becoz of sp2...i use it too if u think its becoz of the firewall, jus try turning off the firewall and try... im not familiar with emule settings(mine's azu).... but im sure its gonna work thro specific ports...so when usin a firewall (weather xp_built in or a seperate one) make sure the port(s) used by ur p2p app are not being blocked - keep them open...check the settings in emule - it should say something about the range of ports it uses. i dont use xp's built_in firewall, but it proly has an stting/option of choosing ur p2p app as a "trusted" app allowed to connect(d/l AND u/l) to the net. u mite wanna try this too... keep us updated... cheers
  10. Broadband Internet By Airtel

thanx for the link Deepu... ...CLEARED MY DOUBTS i was amused too, by the Ad in newspapres about this Airtel 'Broadband"... the key words in the print ad, i thought were... 1. speeds Upto 512 kbps .... 2. charges starting from Rs.249... and also 3. "internet for the impatient !!! damn the tricky advertisers....PPL, IF U WANT THE REAL PICTURE OF THE MONTHLY TARIFF - CLICK DEEPUS LINK.... for 'home' users ...the most cost-effective plans would be ones without any d/l limits....other plans have ****ty d/l limits...as expected.... the 512 kbps speeds for 'business' users - the Minimum is Rs.2500/month...besides, all the 512 schemes have a damn d/l limit... Above the d/l limits, the charges are un-f**king-believable...seriously. its Rs.1.40 Per MB....WHAT THE ****....thats Rs.1000 for 700mb movie download....crazy. Well atleast airtel is honest when it advertises "internet for the impatient !!! me...i think i'll jus wait for some more time.... i mean how 'broad' can this broadband be when its riding on the good-old copper wire ?? Nother page on the airtel website claims DSL technology CAN supposedly provide "data rates from 128Kb to 8Mb per second depending on the type and cost of the service"....what can i say !? - look for the key-words !!!
  11. ...Jus pickin up from Utsav and LinuxGuy from the other post... i happen to be a GSM user too ...RIL only to Rconnect thot we could maybe use a poll......i use T610....its a beauty.
