Reliance Communications Starts Exclusive Discussions With Mtn
Anupe replied to @ksh@T's topic in Reliance Communications
At office one of my collegues was telling me the inside info is that Anil Ambani is selling his entire stake in RCOM to MTN. This friend of mine has a brother who is working in RCOM trivandrum and he got the news from there. And the whole issue of Mukesh stepping in happened cuz Reliance Industries wasnt offered first chance at accrueing RCOM or as per their parlance of "right of first refusal". -
Reliance Mobile Internet Data Plan Introduced Wef 7th Dec 2008

@mathewvp: a 100% increase on 10ps/10kb is 20ps/10kb boss. a 1000% increase is when the original value is raised 10 times. I hope you understand. -
Nice dialers. I dont use them though, I'm running on default diamond theme Thanks for the upload @dkaile: Bro I came across a dialer skin that just might suit your avataar! haha Check this out.. Let me know if you (or anybody else) wants this dialer skin, I'll email it or upload it to rapidshare for ya lol

Reliance Mobile Internet Data Plan Introduced Wef 7th Dec 2008

My letter to Public Grievances Cell (Telecom Section): Sir, I would like to bring to your notice the gross injustice being brought out to its customers by Reliance Communications through their new tariff wef 9 July 2008. Where as the previously existing tariff of Netconnectivity on using RMWorld connectivity to all web based applications was at 10paise/10kb, the new revised tariff has been raised 1000% to Rs.1.10/10kb and this too, without informing its customers of this steep hike. In an age when connectivity in all forms is being made more accessible to the common man, here is one case where a 1000 fold increase in tariff makes it impossible for anybody to use. Source of information: http://www.reliancemobileworld.co.in/RMWor.../kbcharges.html To illustrate what this new enormous hike in tariff means to a user: Previously when the rate was 10paise/10kb, a data usage of 10MB costed Rs.100 As per the new rate of Rs.1.10/10kb, the same usage of 10MB would cost Rs.1100. I humbly request you to look into this drastic price hike which has been burdened on the customers of Reliance Communications and do the needful to take remedial measures. Thank you, Anupe Vincent Their reply: Your Grievance is Successfully Registered. Note your Registration No. DOTEL/E/2008/01026 for future reference. -

Newspaper chaps werent the least bit helpful. They said they couldnt publish the article as it is done by a private company. I dont know what sort of logic that is. If somebody has access to TV channels like CNN IBN Live, Aaj Tak or Headlines Today, maybe it should be reported to them. Probably their response will be better. I tried registering on CNN IBN Live in the Citizen Journalist section, but I cant access the portal even after registering. Seems to be some site problem. If anybody else has access to Citizen Journalist column on CNN IBN, please report this daylight robbery by Reliance over there and let the whole world know. -

Sorry I havent reacted earlier. I just saw this post today. I have confirmed with the local CC of Reliance and they have said that the new rates of Rs.1/10kb is true. I have already voiced my opinion on MouthShut and I have also taken the liberty of using @mit's original post as the content, including the link to the announcement on the Reliance Communications site, to post this same issue on 3 other forums I am a member of. Now I am going to the local newspaper office to inform them and if they need email support I will be pointing them to this thread for full info. Come on guys, we cant let these Reliance con artists take the entire country for a ride! -
Hey, Is there any way to perform the same activity for 6900 ? breg S@N 9212037257 here you go Sanju..... DisableThreadedSMS.zip
-
Any one have MagiCall 2.0 full version ??? breg, S@N 9212037257 I have posted a rapidshare link for it in HTC tweaks thread yesterday for MobiCall 1.22 & Resco explorer, if that's useful to you. PS: @ Moderators: I think a lot of posts are getting muddled and we are seeing problems for same issues getting replied to in different threads. I think memebers should try and address issues common to Touch and Mogul in one thread if its purely software based. If issues are regarding HP/ Original/ Customised ROMs they can be posted in that particular thread and issues asking for software can have a seperate thread on its own. Right now, what we see are people posting queries for answers which were probably addressed in a different thread just a few hours/ days previously.

Resolution for post # 309 is here: http://rapidshare.com/files/128147722/Resc...giCall.zip.html @Dhiraj: I've mailed you a link directly as well.

Thank you for a very comprehensive explanation Sanjeev. It might seem a bit technical, but that's what I love about that post!

Tweakability is one more thing, you can customise a WM platform to suit your needs on your smartphone.

@ vijay: Oh shucks!! I read that post and thought you wanted to INSTALL the games on your phone. So I found the cab files. So sorry for misunderstanding your request Normally if you want to uninstall them you would have to make your own custom ROM and exclude the games when you are cooking the ROM. Give me a couple of days, I'll see if I can find an alternative method. Since I found the cabs for the default games, I'm uploading them here in case someone wants to save them to include in future ROMS they are planning to cook Standard_Games.CAB.zip
-
What is the default game on the Mogul, vijay? I'll try and find it for you.

Came across an awesome cab file that I thought I'd share with you guys. This cab makes the numbers of the keypad for the Touch vibrate when you press each number while you're dialling, giving a nice tactile sensation. I found it helpful as it gives me a confirmation that I have actually pressed the key when I am entering the numbers on the screen dialer. I've tested it on my Touch and it works great. In fact I think it makes the dialer a lot more faster to key in the numbers now. Check it out if you like and post your opinions PS: To remove it, just uninstall the cab file. That's all. Vibrate.zip

@ Dj: There's no infra on the Touch, boss. So Beam can only point to BT on it.

I have resolved the same issue of not being able to receive incoming files via bluetooth from other phones, by using the following solution: Under Settings/Connections/ Go to the Icon called "Beam" and tick the box marked as "Receive all incoming beams." That resolved my problem. Please try the same method and let us know if it worked for you too.

To elaborate further on the problem of not being able to receive files from other handsets via bluetooth. I have noticed one difference which may be the root of the issue. I am using the D-Link DBT-122 Bluetooth dongle to enable bluetooth connectivity on my desktop computer. When I pair the PPC with the Bluetooth enabled computer (my desktop), in the Bluetooth Settings on the PPC, the services offered for connectivity with the desktop show a Serial Port box which needs to be ticked. Then its possible for me to send and receive files to and from the PPC to the Desktop computer. When the same settings window on the PPC is selected for the paired bluetooth enabled other phone (Nokia/Sony Ericsson) etc, the Serial Port option is not available, only a Dialup Networking box is shown. Could the reason be, that since a serial port setting is not available, I am not able to link the other phones to the PPC in file transfer mode and send files to the PPC? Hope someone will be able to shed some more technical light on this issue.
-
Thanks for the suggestion and upload vijay, but even that doesn't work for me. Still the phone refuses to receive files sent from other bluetooth enebaled and paired handsets.
-
Thanks mgdelhi. I've fixed it now. I guess I was using the wrong java midlet.

I have two issues I hope you guys can help out with. 1) Unable to receive files via bluetooth from Nokia/Sony Ericsson phones. My phone is being detected on the Symbian phones and I am also able to pair them, but when a file is sent to my phone, I do not get an alert to receive it and then a little later they get a "file transfer failed" error message on their phones as well. But the weird part is that that I am able to successfully SEND files out from my phone to other handsets. How is it possible that files can be sent but not received?? Absolutely weird... 2) You chaps using the original ROMS might have seen a Java application named " e " in your Programs list. Any instructions how this application works on the phone? Will you be able to install jad/jar files. if so, what is the installation method. I tried installing the Opera mini jar but I keep getting an error of "connection dropping" I dont know what that means. I know my connection works absolutely fine, since I can browse the net on the phone. Can anybody shed some light on this issue as well? Thanks.

I have Mobiion MagiCall 1.2.2.93 though I'm not using that software. If you need it let me know. @mgdelhi: Thanks for the news on the new sprint ROM release. I've installed it too. Absolutely rocks! I love the new Sprint animation when it boots too

Yes initial download can take quite a long time, depending on how many updates you need and your connection speed also.

I am posting this reply right now using the Opera 8.65 version for Windows Mobile on my Touch. Seems to work great in landscape mode. Try it, I'm sure you'll like it.
