  1. I've tried that procedure not once, but about 10 times already. It does give you Hetal's Reliance settings but even after they get installed to the phone, the Sprint PCS network dialer takes precedence over all the other settings and acts as the default connection for connectivity to the Net. What you mentioned is right, you are supposed to not let the Sprint customisations run, which is what happens if you dont soft re-set within 3 seconds of the initial settings after flashing to the Sprint ROM. But that does not solve the issue of totally getting rid of the Sprint dialer on the phone. As Hetal mentioned earlier in this thread, the IOTA registry settings need to be edited/deleted to disable Sprint PCS dialer from being the default Network dialer. I hope Hetal will be able to leave a quick tutorial on how to edit those settings, but he did say that it seemed pretty complicated to explain it. The other hope I have is Hetal would be able to cook up a very basic Reliance ROM for us, without any additional softwares but the bare basic ones like Office, and the GPS softwares. Then everybody can use that ROM and build their phones up using what ever other softwares they want on it. For the time being, till I can get proper Net connectivity, I'll just show off my Touch Today screen running on the HTC Diamond theme
  2. @ Hetal: Boss, how do we delete the default Sprint settings completely from the "Select Networks" settings in the Advanced tab of Connections??? Even if I manually delete the Sprint PCS dialer from the list, it keeps coming back. I would like to run my phone on the original leaked ROM without any of the other apps like icontacts or Spbmobile shell, etc which are there on your ROM, that's why I have not installed your ROM, which works magnificently!!! My requiremnt is just the phone usage and net connectivity Thanks in advance.
  3. Application And Software For 6800 Mogul & Touch

Dont know if this is relevant, but I would suggest changing thread title to "Application and Software for Mogul & Touch". I have software which I have downloaded for my Touch, and instead of opening a seperate thread for Touch phone software, since the platforms are the same, I guess renaming the thread would make it easier for people searching specifically, based on phone model. Anyways... uploading cab file for ring tone organiser to enable you to set specific tones for contacts in your PIM based contacts, based on individual or category. eg: If you have a category set as "Friends" you can assign one ring tone to all contacts in that category to let you know a friend is calling, and another ring tone for contacts in another category like "Business" to let you know another category of contacts is calling you. (Similar to setting ring tones for Profiles in Nokia series) Ringtone_organiser.zip
  4. Thank you Hetal, I'll switch back to your ROM and try once again.

Thanks for the info mate! Just a couple of clarifications though: Installation Procedure for Destinator 7: 1. Install from CAB file (choose correct O/S: PPC2003, WM5, WM6) as before The cab file doesn't give you an option to install the Destinator to the SD card, does it? It installs by default to the main memory of the phone which I think is going to eat up more space once you copy the bigger file size maps also into the CF mem. Is there a way to change the path to get it to install on the SD card? 2. Install your language files (You only need one of the TTS or non-TTS voices) Inside the DestinatorApps/Destinator/Language/All folder, could you point out the TTS and non-TTS files please? 3. Copy new DestCore.dll over the installed version (this allows you to open maps that would need activating normally) 4. Copy maps to card under \SD Card\destinatorapps\<map name> or \CF Card\destinatorapps\<map name> There's just one file called WCE_A with the *.map extn in the karsewa folder. Is that the one to be copied or should the entire folder be renamed as One India and moved into the Destinatorapps folder ? 5. Run Destinator! Hope to hear from you on my queries soon Gaurav. Thanks in advance. Attached below is the screen shot of language directory, could you please point out the TTS and non-TTS files ?
  6. Tried that, didn't work ....
  7. None of them are working for me
  8. Hp-touch-20273.a

Has anyone been able to get the Destinator and One India maps working on the Touch? Please post details instructions. I am able to install Destinator onto the phone, but One India map is not being shown even after loading it into the Destinator folder in the phone.

@yunus I updated my phone from the 2.13 radio version to the leaked rom with radio version 3.37 and the problem has disappeared!! A few other problems popped up instead though... 1. On boot up, the HTC splash screen displays the message " Test Only, Not For Sale" (Is there some way to get rid of that message??) 2. I get the "Roaming" triangle appearing on top of the display screen now ( previously that was not there). The phone works perfectly though, and no roaming charges are deducted or anything of that sort. Is there some way to get rid of that "pesky" triangle?? @yunus: Unlock using the cokeman2.31 unlocker and look if the bootscreen shows SPL 2.31 coKe At that time the device id on my phone showed the following info: rom version 1.12.651.1 rom date 9/18/07 radio vers 2.13.00 Please ensure you reflash only after seeing SPL 2.31 coKe in your bootloader screen I then reflashed to the new leaked rom with radio version 3.37. (This takes a longer time to flash than the previous roms so be patient.. approx 15 minutes, in between, the phone screen will switch from the 4 colour bootloader screen showing SPL 2.31 Coke and the grey screen showing the % of update being done, don't do anything, just let it completely run) Once flashing is complete, phone will bootup with HTC splash screen showing "Test Only, Not for Sale", on first boot after flash, set up stylus checking and time/date etc, but soft reset before the 3 seconds countdown, on the next reboot, phone takes a little while to detect your connection, but once its up and running, the freezing problem would have gone away and you can use the phone as usual New device info after loading leaked sprint rom: rom version 3.02.651.2 rom date 4/23/08 radio version 3.37.15 This was the procedure I used, and other than the two minor irritants I have mentioned earlier in this post, everything is working fine, and oh yes, btw, the phone gets updated to WM 6.1 version !!!! Thank you Karki..... enjoy your biking today, for a change I wont disturb you bro! I'll pick your brains tomorrow though
  10. Hp-touch-20273.a

Thank you karki, followed instructions exactly as written in your post using the 512 MB card which came with the phone formatted to FAT32, and the bootloader screen showed the following results: VOGUIMG.NBH - OK BOOTLOADER - OK SPLASH1 - OK SPLASH2 - OK CDMA - OK OS - OK Update Complete UPDATE SUCCESS but on returning to actual phone screen after boot up, the problem of the phone freezing when it goes into idle mode persists. Any suggestions?? @yunus: The OEM Sprint ROM is not the one in the v3.02 WinRAR file. That ROM is the one leaked Sprint ROM with radio version 3.37. The OEM Sprint ROM is here ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Vogue/Users/Im...NV133_Ship.exe
  11. Hp-touch-20273.a

I have this weird problem. My Sprint Touch is running on the 2.13 radio and I had wanted to upgrade to the 3.37 Sprint radio. So following the steps for the upgrade, I first used the Cokeman's Vogue unlocker MFG 2.31 to unlock it. I am getting the SPL 2.31 Coke displayed when I boot up after holding down the power and camera button so I guess I have unlocked the phone correctly. The problem is, I haven't upgraded the radio to 3.37 as I thought I would do it a little later, but what is happening now is that the phone works perfectly fine when it is in active mode, and is able to make and receive calls, but the moment the phone goes off into standby mode when I leave it idle, then I am unable to get it back to active status unless I do a soft reset. When it is in idle status (dark screen), incoming calls aren't picked up by the phone either though at the other end of the line the caller is able to make a connection and doesn't show my phone as being off line. I have tried re flashing back to the OEM 2.13 Sprint ROM but the problem persists. Could some one help me fix this please? Thank you. PS: I think the issue was caused because I used the 8GB card when unlocking. I'm not sure, but I think that is what caused the issue. I would like to know how to roll back the Vogue 2.31 MFG unlocker to basic stock version in the bootloader.
  12. Hp-touch-20273.a

Hetal, thank you very much for simplifying the instructions and also including links to unlocker and updated radio in your first post. Just one slight confusion, I hope someone can clarify this for me. In the above quote Hetal has shown links to 2 ROMS, do both need to be installed or just any one of the two. Thanks
  13. Connecting To Net

Are these the same drivers and installation procedures for Mogul and Touch as well?
  14. Dashwire 1.11

ohhh Dj notes down one more reason to switch to a 6800 or 6900........
  15. Roaming On Htc Touch

Bhavin, if you do manage to find good softwares, themes and useful information regarding the Touch, please take the initiative to start a Touch thread for the same. Also, if tutorials and procedures to make net connectivity work and any other hardware/software tweaks can be added to the same thread it will be useful in future since all posts from members with regard to specifically enhancing the Touch can be placed on that one thread. Thanks. I'm eagerly tracking Sadik's consignment since one Touch in that lot is mine!
  16. 4 Gb Micro Sd Card Not Recognized

Sorry boss, one of my friends here who runs an electronic store had specifically picked up the memory card just for me as I had been enquiring for it, that's why I did not take it from you.
  17. 4 Gb Micro Sd Card Not Recognized

The 8gb version of SanDisk microSDHC comes bundled with a card reader, tanveer. I bought one yesterday, very quick card, I must add. Might seem a little expensive presently @ 2800 bucks, but I didn't have the patience to wait...
  18. Hp-touch-20273.a

Thank you Hetal...I'm waiting to check your ROMs out. Now all that's missing, is my Touch phone lol I've even got the 8GB SanDisk microSDHC card with me already!
  19. Hp-touch-20273.a

Get it from here http://www.shubaroo.com/index.php?module=contact Its called Contact Changer
  20. I'm going for the Touch, boss. What swung it in the Touch's favour for me was the extra 64MB RAM. I've been doing a lot of reading up on the xda, ppcgeeks forums as well, and there's been a huge set of Mogul users who switched to the Touch simply because of memory management issues. Hardly noticed anybody switching from the Touch to a Mogul though. I'm also not a power user when it comes to emails and stuff on a mobile phone, my main requirements are for talking on it, the occasional Net access, and it should look absolutely cool when its running or in my hands lol I also had a chat up with Ashok and Sadik and after I put my phone requirements to the two nice guys, I finally plonked for the Touch. I'm not much of a sms guy, so the keyboard was not very important to me. Just as you'd mentioned, my initial interest in the Mogul was for the wi-fi. But when I weighed out the prospects of running a really jazzy looking Touch filled to the brim with apps and no memory issues whatsover, I sacrificed on the wi-fi part. I'd rather have snob value over wi-fi Nothing better than to have a few colleagues gape at a Touch in my hands, running on the Trox iphone theme hehe Have you seen that theme, its uber cool! Anyways, most of the time I'm in a wi-fi hotspot, I have my psp or laptop to log onto it And the final clincher, GPS is activated on Touch as well... so that swung the deal finally in its favour .
  21. There is also another issue regarding the HTC Touch which has been mentioned on the xda site, though I haven't got a confirmation on it from any users here as yet. It seems the mem cards on the Touch have a tendency to get corrupted very quickly and the data becomes unreadable. Seems it can only be fixed by formatting the card, which, I think is a waste of time. It seems to be a HTC bug, though nothing about this issue has been mentioned on the ppcgeeks forum. I've messaged a few guys using the Touch on that forum, lets see what their replies are. And a very big thank you to Ashok & Sadik who I've been bugging incessantly these past few days to help me decide between the Mogul and Touch. You guys rock!!!
  22. Any idea whether the 8GB San Disk micro sd card works on the Mogul?? Would like to pick one up, its Rs.2900 in Cochin but I'm not sure if the Mogul supports it. Any info about its compatibility or any other card variant/ capacity would be welcome. Thanks
  23. All About Nokia 6265

    Thanks for the file
  24. @ Arun: Are all options ( Wi-fi, internet connectivity thru cable using the Mogul as modem, direct browsing from phone web browser) working fine on your phone? Is there an option to connect the phone as modem thru bluetooth as well and if so, is it working ?
  25. All About Nokia 6265

How does that work? Do you have to upload contacts from the phone itself or do you upload your addressbook file from the PC to the web? I checked their site, but the instructions arent very clear, and also, the phone tries to download some file from their site, but its doesnt work. Please clarify how it works, thanks.
