  1. Vista

Neither the phones nor data cards from Reliance support Win Vista as yet. Hence, no drivers....
  2. Virtual Global Conference Network

Of course Video Conferencing is a market for CORPORATE users only. But, Reliance has taken initiative to bring it to common man as well. At last Raksha Bandhan, I used Reliance webworld for Rs. 250 to speak to my sister in Bangalore on video conferencing.
  3. Lg Rd2030 Serial Cable Driver

What operating system are you using? You may get the correct software downloaded for the correct operating system from this link http://www.reliancecommunications.co.in/we...nectsearch1.jsp get the same in pendrive/ cd and get going on your PC
  4. New Zero Rental Data Plans

Hold on people....do you remember that if one purchases a phone with voice plan only, he could still use R Connect at 50p/25p? It's only that 50p/25p has been upwardly revised to 60p/30p (Day/night). Nothing else has changed. If you take a data card with some data plan (life swift/ freedom/ platinum etc), then you get the voice plan of NJ149 free...
  5. Phonebook Transfer Help

As far as I know, Nokia 3125 has Phonebook UPLOAD functionality thru R WORLD. That means, you can transfer a copy of your phonebook to Reliance Backend. After UPLOADING, you can DOWNLOAD the same in any other handset which supports DOWNLOAD thru R WORLD (most of the LG sets have it)
  6. Ambigram For Rimweb

Amazing work....Dan Brown would be impressed...
  7. A Hiatus From Rimweb.in

Congratulations Puneet...whatever little I have observed of you during my association with RIMWeb.in, I can say that loss shall be all ours to disengage a precious asset. Do well in life and keep adding value to others' lives in your capacity.
  8. Gsm Operators Bitten By Instant Messaging Bug

Any yahoo chatter can send IM to a RIM customer...the message will be recd as an SMS (free) from 82841 or something similar....now, the RIM user can reply to this message (international message chargeable @Rs.5 per msg).....have not tried with FWP MSN/ ICQ users cannot do the same...
  9. R-world Message

These messages are sent as MASS MAILERS types...no distinction on subscriber's handset. Yes, if you try to open/ run them, it activates R-World. If your handset is compatible to that application, it will run the free preview etc (but network usage @10p/10KB still would be charged). In case, the handset is not compatible (there are very high chances of this coz any handset of around one year or more older would have a previous software version whereas R-World keeps upgrading), it will show some kind of error. In case you are not interested in viewing these msgs, just press END key when you recv such a message. Now, a small envelope will keep reflecting onyour screen. If you want to erase this message now withour trying to view, just go to messages list and ERASE; otherwise, after 24-48hrs, it will automatically wash off. Small price we need to pay for using technology.
  10. Lg 2630

LG 2630 has 19 inbuilt 12-chord polyphonic ringtones. In addition to that, you can also download a few ringtines (upto 50KB in size) thru SMS and R World
  11. How To Connect To Email Client

Buddy, if you have a vsnl/ mtnl email id configured in your outlook express, there is very less probability that you would be able to use internet connection of some other service provider to send emails. I assume that you have a non-reliance email configured...right? Now, try pop.reliancemail.net in "Incoming Server" and smtp.reliancemail.net in "Outgoing Server" settings. You should be able to at least download your non-reliance emails in your outlook. It might work for sending mails as well (I am not sure coz I tried some similar settings and was able to SEND also but that was last year). Try these, and let me know the progress.

  13. Best Handset For Msn Messenger, Email

I am using LG2130. Works smoothly with Yahoo messenger and emails after the software upgrade. I suggest that you get the software upgrade done in your 2030 first from LG Service centre. All your R World probs would be solved. Will cost you less than Rs. 100. If you go in for a new NOKIA phone, the only danger is that (GOD forbid) if anything happens to the phone, there are hardly any service centres available, and if one is available, it will keep your phone for 20 days (officially) and more (unofficially). So beware !!

  21. Rconnect - Windows Xp Hangs While 2000 Works

    Q) How to install R-Connect (thru data cable) ? Ans) Follow the following steps- 1- DO NOT CONNECT THE DATA CABLE PLUS PHONE TO YOUR PC/ LAPTOP. PUT IT AWAY FOR NOW. 2- Put the data cable CD in the CD drive. 3- If this CD (this CD contains data cable driver not the R Connect software as available on Reliance site) tries to run a program, cross it. 4- Wait for the cursor to settle down. 5- Now, just put the cable in USB port (DO NOT CONNECT THE PHONE ON THE CABLE) 6- Windows will "New hardware found"...follow instructions...it will automatically browse for the correct driver for your cable in the CD. 7- In some third party cases, the "New Hardware found" will run twice. DO NOT CANCEL THE SECOND time. Let this also run and install second time also. 8- It might or might not ask for a restart. 9- Still, do the RESTART 10- Now remove the data cable 11- Put the CD for R Connect Software (preferably from Reliance site) and run the .exe file 12- If it prompts "Continus anyway" click Yes everytime 13- It will prompt you to Power ON the phone and connect thru data cable at the USB port 14- DO IT 15- WAIT 16- WAIT 17- Suddenly it find the "USB MODEM" and continue further 18- It might or might not ask for RESTART 19- Go ahead and connect to internet !!! DO NOT WORRY IF THE CABLE IS FROM ANY PARTY (FOR LG SETS ONLY). Its just that first of all we should be able to put correct drivers for cable and then of course, it will be able to communicate/ identify the LG Modem for which the correct drivers are available on Reliance site. In your case, you just need to load the new data cable driver first, then it should be smooth sailing !!
  22. Net Connect Charges Are Very High

@supernova What is the rate of this card ? Rs. 4990.00
  23. FM On Rworld

R World menus are handset model dependant. Hence, it i not necessary that everyone will get Mobi Radio in his h/set. For Sajo's h/set- which h/set model is yours?
  24. Net Connect Charges Are Very High

    1. Though Reliance is expensive compared to BSNL/ Tata, R Connect speeds are worth paying for. Then, Reliance has already invested billions of dollars to lay down own FIBER network so that it's users can surf high-speed internet. It's something like taking a HIGHWAY and paying toll tax compared to not taking a highway and getting bottlenecks. 2. For landline and mobile users, Reliance did have UNLIMITED plans and old users are still continuing with it. Reliance has not withdrawn UNLIMITED facility from old customers (Thanks). Yes, currently new landline/ mobile users cannot opt for UNLIMITED plans.
