Whether Anil runs or Mukesh, the point is, they both are the products of Mr. Dhirubhai, so for the common man things will still be the same i.e. deceit lies and false promises, and worst more hikes in rates. Their offers - speacial bonanza are short lived and soon thrown out with more costlier rates which effectively nullifies the good effect of cheaper rates. GSM still rules, sad to say.

I bought it for 7131+220 prepaid gsk. however, ICICI Cr has given me a cr for 400 bucks dunno 4 what hence i bought the whole package for 6981 incl the prepaid gsk. where did u buy it from and did it getin warranty? How do u feel the voice, better than the LG and does it get heated up? to know more functionality in Nokia CDma type in *3001#12345# and u will have many hidden things to work with. more later.. nokia 3215 will give the max talk time followed by 6585. 3125 has a 4k screen and a battery bl-5c (850 mah) where as 6585 has also the same screen with 780 mah. but considering the price and features 6585 is the best buy. cheers, mitul

hi i live in mumbai but i am shifting to pune (got a new job) so i thought i would buy the handset from pune itself. Fortunately unlike mumbai, pune webworlds had it hence i bought it . the price on the list was 7131+ prepaid gsk. however, suprisingly,on his system the price was 7161 so he asked me to pay 30 more. i fought for it and said there are some business ethics to maintained. hence i got it for 7131. in mumbai it is avaialbe at Nokia priority dealer at crossroads at the 7300. however the price at mumbai webworld is 7321. hope this clears the doubt in your mind. till date i havent seen anybody selling this model below 7k so the 6.8k or 6.9k thing is just a rumour which may turn out to be true in the near future till now its a lie. cheers, mitul

HI! Well mine doesn't. It gives atleast 2 days usage with 1/2 hour of talk time daily and listening to FM and fiddling it for 20 mins daily. Something wrong with your battery. P.S. the admin as well users are requested to post all queries in the pinned post of 6585 so everyone can collect the complete info under one head rather than hunting for it in the whole forum. HI! Well guys since ppl have demanded more. Here you go, the cpu is slow, the screen refresh rate is bad you will notice a lag and apart from the built in browser has bee nremoved and R world software is not pushed in. On enquiring they said that by the end march or 1 week april 2005 they will update mnay cells which dont have R world and you can go to nokia service centre get the thing upgraded. Overall a very cost effective lovable phone. The battery life is quite good and as i have metioned about the phone being heated well my analysis was wrong after 15 mins of talking u feel the heat. the call quality rules believe me you wil throw away your favourite gsm phone. The menu structure is Nokia series 40 version 1.0 where the right key can configured to your choice. the bug which i have found is in the sms inbox where on opening the sms and closing it, it shifts its position to last and the previous sms preceded the position. Strange but true. It has GPS (menu disabled) which flashes which city you calling not only while calling but randomly in standby mode also, irritating it is. The CC says you cant remove this feature, but it wont get on your nerves. Nothing much remains to be said, this is the best cell from RIM -Nokia that i have seen. One inportant mention the software CD is not included so you have to download it from the net http://www.nokia-asia.com/nokia/0,,65484,00.html . The software is very helpful everything except sms can be backed up. The IR port is fast and work on 115200 speed unlike other nokias which run on 57600 speed. You cant connect to the internet through IR, you have the buy the cable (DKU-5) thanks to Reliance, no drivers of IR for the R-connect software are availble. The FM is also of great use since i am shifting tp pune so for travelling its a neccesity. Apart from 90 plus sms capacity and 500 book capacity of 5 enteries +5 number per contact it also gives you 3 MB of free space in which 4 games - bounce, water rapid, triple pop and beach rally are pushed in and an convertor application is present. Other miscelleneuos things are voice recorder, voice tags, call restriction wherein you can specify all i/c or o/c or even specified numbers to be blocked and it works fine. Last its a Trimode phone works on analog, and digital mode and on 800 and 1900 bands. So in future this phone is capable of latching on to higher bands, the advantage would less heat as it is the 800 bands which causes this as per Nokia service centre. phew! thats all please put specific question for me to answer if any still remain unanswered.

HI! The Unlimited Packs are not unlimited. Previously the cap was of 75 MB per day now they have increased to 150 MB but no where do they mention it while buying the pack. I have complained to the manager but no response from anyone. According to them why does a home user require to download so much data. Just to tell you i have been using this service since 3 years, initially they would charge 999 bucks for 128 kbps pure unlimted, 24 hours. After some time they called up people around 100 ( they made a list) and said stop downloading, our bandwidth is choked please take ur money back. Which ISP in the world does that? ****ers.

Dear All, The nokia 2112 hits within one week's time i.e. next month in Sept 2004. So holdon if u planning to buy reliance service wait till this phone is out coz it uses the nokia 6600 battery(BL-5C) which will give an amazing talktime. Moroever its small and elegant witha speaker phone so watch out for this one. regards, mitul
