With penetration of affordable tablets, more people will be going towards data consumption and CDMA players don't have any strategy to take benefit of it. Hope they see some business sense into it. -

CDMA In India – Past, Present And Future
prakashkadam replied to rajanmehta's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
I see only too problems with CDMA players are that 1. Lack of good handsets compared to GSM, and 2. Lack of comparable data plans. the second point is solely depends on CDMA players, why the hell they are not aggressive on this front? -

prakashkadam replied to suvirajshetty's topic in Reliance Communications
Indeed reliance CDMA is not adding any new coverage areas. but that is purely, because they have lost business sense. I am pretty happy with the stability of the CDMA network. -

I think the move is to encourage local mfgs. But I doubt, who is doing that. Most, almost all are shopping from china, from biggies to lemons. -

Open Market For CDMA Handsets Continues To Grow As CDG Led OMH Initiative Enters Next Phase Of Global Expansion
prakashkadam replied to me_saket's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
samsung is already there with OMH handsets. -
but don't you think other than the chipset corby shares rest with its GSM sibling? Royalty is not the reason for pricing CDMA phones at a premium. Royalty is just 2% so it should be in the range of 140-160 Rupees for a Rs.7K-8K phone. The premium pricing is due to lesser number of sales of CDMA handsets compared to GSM.
