Hope Samsung brings its explore (S259) in OMH area. It's on offer for 2999 only on virgin. Good handset. I am using it with china unicom firmware and the hardware is good. Very correct my dear Abhishek. LG RD6600 is the best handset available at such a cheap price. Although the quality is not that cheap at all. Its value for money my dear friends.

choice is needed in OMH (Open market handsets) rather than in operators. I think Videocon group is also venturing in CDMA space.

Guys, I would like to know, that explorer and vsleek has any difference in hardware? i am asking this coz, none of the drawbacks in explorer mentioned in this forum are noticed in vsleek. I mean heating, battery etc. With my experience, I have talked for 45 mins for a single call on vsleek but no heating. Battery goes well for 3 days on charge with moderate usage. MP3 player supports folders and sound quality is ok.

I paid 3100, but that was despo act, as other vendor who was offering me at 2800 was taking too much time. No virgin connection with this. could you get rworld or web browser activated with reflashing?

ani, me too has bought this phone. nice one at the cost, i got unlocked one from a vendor in my locality. but the software is for China Unicom so some stuff in chinese like default groups and browser settings for china unicom, can not use the browser. Looking for the solutions to these problems. where do you bought the cable and at what price? -prakash

In that case, after the reflash, the phone will not work on Reliance, isn't it? in this case you are not changing the os of the handset u r just flashing it with a different version of the os ........so i dont think warranty is void .......also afaik in nokia service center if your phone is bricked in doing such operations n if it underwarranty they simply reflash it for you .......no one has time to sit and check what mess you have done to the os.....they simply reflash .....but i dont know about samsung

yeah, the handset which I checked was having software from 'Anycall', i suppose it is chinese one as you have told already? People who unlock Explore or VSLEEK install a chinese version of VSLEEK software. WHich is an older Version. If you read whole topic you will come to know when Explore was launched MP3 could not be used as ringtone. It was enabled only after a software upgrade. Chinese Version is an older version, upgrade is not available at least in my area. you can use downloaded MP3 ringtones provided it supports RWORLD.

You won't find any reliance enabled peace as such. Actually it works on Reliance like an open market handset, due to RUIM capability. I doubt, whether R-World and R-connect is working on this handset. I am talking about virgin provided VSleek not the TATA provided Explore. Could we change the Title of this thread as explore/Vsleek?
