hey, can u compare this one with lg2030? - battery life - network - r world etc. looks good and trendy. hope to buy one for my wife. I live in chennai and I liked the handset when I saw it Actually, a common problem in metro's in that of lost/ stolen/ broken handsets becoz of the high usage, etc. So a cheap handset that does what it is supposed to do and does it well (i mean voice comm.) is an ideal handset. just my two cents Anyway, as i was saying - its a pretty good handset, some good points include: - large display - 5 way nav key - VERY intuitive menu's - decent ringtones - excellent voice quality - good batttery And one REALLY bad point: - the address book is lousy! No sorting, no searching!!!!! I've never seen such lack of though while designing the software cheers pranav

Hi, I am getting very weak network in my office building, even in corridors. Have complained to Customercare in Jan 2006, no interest from their side, so mailed to chairman and somebody replied saying they will check up with field representative/technician. Technicians feedback was that, they needed to improve network here, somebody called me and told that they will do something like adding additional site in next 3 months. Since then nothing has happened and me getting a kinda readymade reply, as "Things are under progress." Is their way to change the things. Can I make a complaint to TRAI or Consumer courts to make these peoples work.

Cdma Phones May Get Network Freedom
prakashkadam replied to KumaarShah's topic in Reliance Communications
by network freedom, it means you can keep the handset to switch within the CDMA networks. Just like if u r fade up with Reliance you can simply buy a RUIM card from TATA and use the same phone in that network. I don't see any impact on R-World though. This is good thing and should happen, then you will get freedom to choose your network and some decent handsets will be available to choose from. -
Why spend so much munny on such a useless car, which can't take up the challenge of mumbai roads.

Reliance Communication To Enter Gsm Services
prakashkadam replied to abhay's topic in Reliance Communications
Nope, get your facts right from google searches. CDMA is nextgen tech while GSM is legacy. North and part of South America, China, India, Japan, Korea all are CDMA. Only EU and some part of North america has GSM. -
you have lost your sense, why blame modi here? Gujarati's across the political arena, whether BJP or Congress have a grudge against Amir. And regarding the rehabilitation of dam affected farmers Gujarat have done its lot, its the problem in MP only.
-
Amir has enjoyed his freedom of speech showing no remorese and consequences. No its turn of Gujaratis if they think Amir film is banned in Gujarat and its their expression of freedom then what is wrong in it.

I wish tata improves the network as well.. I wish TRAI allows changing CDMA operators keeping the same instrument and no.

A good FM receiver shuold have been there.

this was not unexpected thing as long as Mr. Arjun singh is there in that chair. I feel he is the most self centered politician in Dr. Manmohan's singh's team. And we are yet to hear from Dr. Singh, and current media favorite goddess of sacrifice Mrs. Gandhi.

Page on reliance infocomm website describes network in these words "Wireless network covering over 2,400 cities/towns, to expand to over 5,700 cities AND 4,00,000 villages by December. 4,300 Base Transceiver Stations (BTSs) across the country, to increase to around 8,500 by December." Now I am bit confused which 'December' they are talking about, coming one, or gone one. As page is static for last year or so since i checked last. any idea guys. -prakash

Also Telecom Giant Bsnl Telecom Giant is only for the name sake.. A to Z is copied from other service providers Even if they copy, it serves the purpose. Your homepage is your face in wired world.

Very good review. and good phone at that price. I have it for more than 2 yrs and still going good, without problems. Only thing i am disappointed abt is battery life. You can't use it beyond 48 hrs.

I have failed to understand, how big corps like Reliance Infocomm is so relaxed about their public image. Infact, not only Reliance but many others show very less interest in updating their websites.

New Look of Reliance Infocomm Website
prakashkadam replied to basant_jp's topic in Reliance Communications
forget abt visual appeal, i wish they update the content. their network section is not updated for months/year. tariff and plans also not updated, we get to know through media only. man, the problem is with firefox, IE opens it well. Infact Firefox has many problems, i cant open any devnagari sites also. -
Reliance Mobile Phone Prices Slashed...
prakashkadam replied to siva1983in's topic in Reliance Communications
my dear friend cellular service is not only for the elites like you. it has become necessity for peoples from small towns and villages, where it is a necessity as long as one needs to keep connected with their family and buisiness. if RIM has priority for masses now, nothing wrong in it. you have to wait for your time, or change to GSM where you get high end handsets for your status symbol. -
me to surprised with LG's shyness in putting FM in lower end phones. its a good utility and i have seen many peoples prefer FM capable phone while bying.

How To Make Cdma Phone Work On Any Provider In India?
prakashkadam replied to Manoj Reddy's topic in Technical / OS related
We must, there should be fairplay practice for consumers also, and TRAI is bound by this principle. Lets find out the channels to reach TRAI first. -
How To Make Cdma Phone Work On Any Provider In India?
prakashkadam replied to Manoj Reddy's topic in Technical / OS related
I am wondering how TRAI allows these discriminatary policies towards consumers. If GSM users are free to change operators keeping their instruments. CDMA operators should also be made to allow network interchange. I mean, If I am fadeup with reliance I should be allowed to use the same instrument with TATA or vice versa. Guys is there any way to reach TRAI on this issue? -
it is quite a old report, i mean atleast 2 yr old. Anything done recently, on similar lines. Is Reliance Infocomm doing anything with the findings of the report? -prakash
