Can Nokia 1255 Reliance Be Converted To Accept All Sims
pasumark replied to pasumark's topic in Nokia
Friends This is not a open handset like Nokia 6265 or 6275. Even though there is a ruim slot, nothing happens when card is inserted in it. The phone is programmed for Reliance. Any idea how this Ruim card slot can be activated? -
Mts Launches 1 Sec Pulse, 90 Sec Pulse Using Msavers
pasumark replied to siva1983in's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Great work Ramesh. So it proves M149 the best voucher, since it provides 49p to any call. It also depends upon the usage. For me, since I do 99% of my calls to local mobile, P225 in Reliance is the best, since it provides 30p to any local mobiles -

Airtel Launches 'special Five' Scheme
pasumark replied to savramesh's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Nothing great In post paid if you want this offer you have to change to plan 250(Rental Rs.250/-) where you get 250 local minutes free. After the 250 minutes all local 50p and all std Re.1 And of course you can add any 5 Airtel numbers (Local charged at 20p and STD charged at 50 p for these 5 numbers) So they are first asking you to pay and then boast that they are providing something special.. bored with this cheating -

I require 3 handsets for my salespersons. Since the sales persons will be traveling a lot, the requirements are good battery back up and good signal coverage. Please suggest the current best handsets, which need to be used just for talking. Thanks

Number Portability Likely To Thin Margins, Foster Competition: Rcom
pasumark replied to ravi_patent's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
always the grass in the other side is greener. So when MNP comes we will all be changing the operator expecting something better. In India we have one of the lowest tariff's, but Quality? I often find when speaking in mobiles there is some problem in voice quality, either in my network(RCDMA) or the other network. This is common to all networks. We cannot say we have perfect network at all the places. When I call to BSNL,Airtel,Vodafone, Aircel etc all have this problem. So when MNP comes we have to keep the following points in mind before switching operator * Whether the operator has good network coverage where we spend most of our time- like home, office etc * Quality of customer care * Value added service and their costs * and finally tariffs -
I have mailed the company for a post-paid connection and they have replied that they will send a representative to my address. Meanwhile today my friend is buying a pre-paid and we both are going to Courtallam - tourist place in TN. We will check the coverage there and on the way and post you details. Very eager to test Tata Docomo technology

Dear Mr. Ganesan, Tata DoCoMo is operating on the GSM 1800 MHz frequency in most of the circles since the GSM 900 MHz frequency has already been used up. I guess it should be 1800 MHz in Tamil Nadu too, but I don't have any authentic source of information to support it. Thanks. If it is 1800 Mhz, then they would require more cell sites to give coverage without any breaks. Lets get feedback from users about the coverage But tata alredy given their commitment that "Their coverage will more than any operator at day 1 of launch, and it will be incresed so on" So i don't think they will follow same story as rcom had done with gsm1800mhz, Even Airtel is working on1800mhz in most circle, still it is NUMBER 1 telcom company in india. See what i mean to say if company plans and make strategy to develop network then technolgy or 1800mhz or capex doen't come into picture. Badly rcom strategy or planing doesn't allow them to install more tower, so they ended with poor gsm n/w. Dear ramesh, u saved total 5-6minute, but want to know after how many calls or minute u spoke. So we can know percentage of saving in second billing. thanks I agree that with 1800 Mhz, Airtel is able to give very very good coverage. But one point you have to bear in mind is that it took Airtel this many years to build its network. Their team would be studying each and every town, village and install cell sites wherever there was a problem. So if Tata Docomo also invests money and if it has the idea to provide 100% coverage, then 1800Mhz is not a problem. Also the Missed Call Alert is very super and instantaneous in Airtel. Even with so many cell sites in my town, occasionally I receive MCA in my Airtel. Lets wait and see what is in store for us from Tata Docomo
