Tata Docomo Postpaid Plans
pasumark replied to iammanuarora's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Have a doubt why Tata-Docomo is just giving 50 STD mins as top up . Is 50 STD mins = 150 Local mins ? Even if we calculate STS at 2p per sec, it should have been 75 STD min. Maybe the STD charges will still go up in future -

Tata Docomo Postpaid Plans
pasumark replied to iammanuarora's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Wow. If the topping minutes will be deducted in seconds, then these are unbeatable plans. Really unbelievable. -
Really some different thinking from TATA Docomo. It is nice to see something different. Customer can choose as per his/her requirement. But the minimum commitment seems to be high. They should also come with Rs.99 and Rs.199 plans

Initially the users of 95 series mobile number will receive some wrong calls. But gradually the problem will be solved -
Vigorous campaign for Tata Docomo in TN in all newspaper and FM radio. The mobile market is getting hot in TN. Really I was impressed by MTS and now by TATA Docomo. Tata Docomo being GSM is sure to succeed with strong TATA brand name to support it. Where is Reliance GSM? Just in T20

pasumark replied to savramesh's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Why dont they introduce contract system in India? They can initially give this to high value customers, customers having credit card and corporate. Also to long term customers who have been in their network for more than 3 years. -
Even Airtel has

Airtel Doesnot Want Post-paid Connections
pasumark posted a topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Funny thing in India. I asked for 2 new Airtel post-paid connections (I already have 15 connections - 4 in my company name and 11 in self paid) and got the reply that post-paid connections are not available in my town Virudhunagar (Which is head quarters of a district). The reason quoted by the customer service manager is that they are not able to service my town and like this many areas are marked in Tamilnadu (Thanjavor) and in these places you can only get a pre-paid Airtel connection. Existing post-paid customers have the choice to convert to pre-paid without any charge or stay without any service( Since no dealer) When I insisted that I need 2 more post-paid connections or I would have to cancel all my connections, the customer service manager said he could not do anything since it was a policy decision of Airtel. It seems they are not interested in post-paid and not interested to give CUG. Really I am clueless on what to do. I need 2 more connections to add to my group -
Airtel Doesnot Want Post-paid Connections
pasumark replied to pasumark's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Ya I have shown my connections details. There are also many other post-paid connections in our town which was given in the past 7 year period when Airtel had a dealer in our town. Only recently no dealer in our town, so they have marked it as non-serviceable area. I had asked them to just give the connection thats all and no service was required. But Airtel is very adamant and don't want to give any more post-paid connections. I think, they hate post-paid CUG. They feel CUG is putting so much strain on their already crowded network. In pre-paid, no free minutes even within Airtel. Atleast they charge 10p even if you use booster pack. So they do not want to give any post-paid connection in future -

Airtel Doesnot Want Post-paid Connections
pasumark replied to pasumark's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
Both the customer care and Nodal officer have expressed their inability to give new post paid connections in my town. The reason said by them is "We are unable to accommodate your request on providing the new Airtel mobile connection in the below specified area because the pincode belongs to non-serviceable area." Funny world -

Airtel Doesnot Want Post-paid Connections
pasumark replied to pasumark's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
I have sent mails to Nodal officer and customer care, explaining this bizarre situation. But I feel very hurt by the attitude of Airtel. This is like using you as a ladder and then kicking you of. Since Airtel is in No.1 position now, they feel they can do anything. This is bad thinking. See I am using this Airtel no. for more than 5 years. Without number portability, I am not able to leave Airtel and I am not able to continue in Airtel because of their attitude. Waiting for the tide to change my way.... -

Telecom Tariffs May Fall 25% This Year
pasumark replied to savramesh's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
Agreed that India is having lowest tariffs in the world. Quality? In future customers will be surely ready to pay more for quality networks- good voice, no call drops and mainly good connectivity. With MNP coming, I would be with the operator who gives me better quality (Even though I would require to pay some 100 or 200 rupees more per month) and surely not with one with lower tariff -
I agree that every operator is having problem and current RCDMA is localised problem. But what the problem here is the response we get when a compliant is given. Just minor maintenance should solve the network issue in my town. But they are not prepared to do it. Last 6 months back also I faced the same problem in my town and after various threats of disconnection of my 14 connections only it was solved. And now again it is like this. They are now concentrating more on GSM network. Will they take care of CDMA network as they would used to?

I think they are first correcting the GSM network all over and also soft launches everywhere. Then we can expect big promotion. In Virudhunagar, GSM post-paid is being launched next week

Updated: 11-digit Mobile Numbers By 2010 - '9’ to be prefixed to all existing numbers
pasumark replied to Sadikk's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
I think China is having only 10 digits ( Correct me if I am wrong), then why does India need 11 digits? Why cannot mobile numbers be allowed to start with 8, 7 , 5,4 and 1? This seems to be an unwanted step and unwanted confusions. Lets wait and see -
I am waiting for MNP. Day by day the RCDMA services are very poor. The quality has detoriated very much and worst poor response to complaints
