  1. Thanks for your care. Just for double sure - Will factory reset in Galaxy Nexus not affect the Reliance registration or internet EVDO and can the handset be used as such with the same number in Reliance
  2. Since the handset is just going to be used my son, I have just changed the gmail id and not done factory reset. If I am selling outside I would have surely done a factory reset
  3. Settings -> Accounts & Sync -> Go to your gmail account -> Menu -> Remove account. (You can add another gmail account from the same menu) Factory reset will also remove the existing gmail account from the phone, but that's the last resort I have added my son's gmail id and removed mine. Thanks
  4. I have transferred my son's number to Galaxy Nexus. The call and SMS are working perfectly. But data is not working (even 1x). When I called CC they said data is active in my mobile. 1. What should I do to activate data and then EVDO in this mobile? 2. I want remove my Gmail account from the phone and replace it with his. What is procedure to do it? Please help guys
  5. Motorola Droid Razr M (Global)

    1. I have not rooted my phone. 2. I am only using GSM 3. Still no solution to divert calls in GSM from this handset. Verizon has blocked called forwarding outside its network. Waiting for a solution. 4. Verizon has again blocked Mobile hotspot. 5. Other than the above 2 points, I face no other issues
  6. I have ported out my number from RCDMA to Airtel. Now I want to transfer my son's number to the imported Galaxy Nexus I was using. His number is in a RUIM card in Nokia 6265. 1. While giving request to webworld to transfer the number, should I give the same MEID no. which I had given when transferring my number to Galaxy Nexus as RSN? 2. Right now EVDO is not active in my son's number. Can I give request to activate EVDO after the number gets transferred to Galaxy Nexus or should I do it prior to transferring? Please guide me.

  8. Motorola Droid Razr M (Global)

BATTERY: I am updating it to EXCELLENT from good. Even for heavy usage it never let's you in a day. Yesterday I was using it heavily and I had 30% by the end of the day. I have postponed my idea of buying a battery backup, I may not be needing it. Normally for such usage I would have charged the battery by evening in my Galaxy Nexus CDMA. Also I find GSM to consume very less battery when you travel. When I travel in overnight train from my place to Chennai, in CDMA phones battery would drop by 30%. But in this I find the battery to drop by less than 10% Great. Only call divert in GSM needs a solution
  9. S3 is the current best Android phone now considering various aspects. Only the screen size is big for users like me, who use the phone for voice and SMS often and for other uses less. Do we have an Android phone with S3 features and screen size 4"? The best features of S3 are, * Good looks - Slim and not so heavy * very good performance - good processor and high ram * good screen quality * Excellent battery back up * Android ( of course IPhone 5 has all the above and 4" screen, but ridiculously priced) Do we have any GSM phone with above specs and 4" screen?
  10. Motorola Droid Razr M (Global)

For past 2 days I have been using this phone. I had been in RCDMA all these years and my handset journey was HTC Hero-Nexus S - Galaxy Nexus. So automatically my comparisons would be based on these. PROS: 1. Size - really compact size. I would say ideal for persons who use voice and SMS a lot and occasional usage of others. 2. Screen size - For a compact phone the screen is really big at 4.3" 3. Screen quality - this was the only point I was worrying BEFORE buying this phone. Now I am very satisfied with screen clarity. The inbuilt wallpapers are sooo good. 4. Any GSM or CDMA is really a cool feature. Though I have not checked with CDMA sim, I hope that too would not be a problem. 5. It is in Android 4.1.1 Jelly bean. The phone is smooth and I found no lagging in normal usage. 6. Battery is good but not excellent. For your daily usage it should never let you down. But if you use 3G a lot you will need a battery back up. Since it has an in built battery, u need an external battery pack, on days when you are out using 3G for maps and other heavy browsing. For normal browsing and unlimited talking u can rely on this 2000 Mah battery. 6. Network reception is good. I was travelling some 40 kms in car and talking all through the journey. I did not have a single disturbance. 7. Call quality was really good. But my Galaxy Nexus was still louder 8. USSD codes, call waiting, call conference and all other GSM features are working, except Call Divert(which I will elaborate below) 9. 3G and wifi working well. 10. I love Motorola home screen 11. The phone looks good and like a premium phone. CONS: The only issue I am having with this phone so far is Call Divert. Since it is Verizon Global phone, Verizon does not allow call diverting outside its network. There is no menu for call divert. Even if we try the codes it says 'Call forwarding Disabled outside Verizon network'. Waiting to find solution for this issue. Please help me. Other than these I have not used much. If you have any query, please feel free to ask, I will check and inform you.
  11. Please suggest 4" phone with S3 features?

Thanks for your suggestion Faram. I have ordered a Motorola Razr M from Parin, which he put up for sale yesterday night. I have got a phone as per my requirement. Thank you all guys for helping me. Mods can close this topic, as I have found and purchased a phone as per my requirement.
  12. HTC One - The New Android Flagship

It really seems to have winning features. An attractive pricing will make it a super doper hit. But I do not expect that. The expected price is 500-550 British pounds, so Rs.42,000 and above for this beauty
  13. Hai Rajan, Any good deals for Motorola Razr I GSM unlocked? When I search, I find the price too high. If I am not able to get this phone I will go for S3 GSM
  14. Please suggest 4" phone with S3 features?

So my quest for a compact phone with good features has landed me on Motorola Razr I. Can anyone offer me brand new GSM unlocked Razr I? Or can you guide me on where it can be bought? If I get this phone at reasonable price, I will go for it. Or else I will go for S3 GSM. I will buy a phone within a week. Once again I thank all for helping me to take decision.
  15. Prepaid - Data Packs - 1x/HSD

I think this Rs.94 pack is like a trial pack and would be gradually removed and the other vouchers are the standard one
  16. Handset Launches - News Snippets

^^^ Just 1600mah battery and 4 hrs of talk time. Why no manufacturer except Motorola is not concentrating on battery? Is it a fact that for majority of customers battery is not a much of requirement? Then what for they buy these phones if they don't use it. Just to show off!!!!
  17. What is Rcom going to do after shutting its GSM service also? Already CDMA customers are dwindling.
  18. Need information regarding Best IIT Coaching

Which standard is he now? I would suggest a 2 year integrated program XI and XII. So that the student need not run from school to coaching centre daily. Also since both board and entrance are under same roof, teaching of concepts need not be repeated Most important above this is the psychological support should be give regularly to the student, since there is huge pressure on the student. You cannot just enroll him in a institute and leave like that.
  19. Please suggest 4" phone with S3 features?

^^^ If Intel might be a problem, then we have RAZR M with same features except the CPU which is Dual core 1.5ghz Krait. http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=4973&idPhone2=4998 But I am afraid about the price and availability ( unlocked for any GSM). Can anyone arrange this phone? If yes please quote the rate
