  3. Must Have Android Apps For Your Smartphone - Part II

CALL ANNOUNCER - very useful app to know who is the caller without lifting the phone. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.codeansoftware.callannouncer&hl=en
  4. See, I had exactly tried this. I used my tablet for my Internet applications, gaming, etc, and started using an ordinary phone. Benefits have been clearly listed out by you. But I faced the following problems: 1. It was difficult to carry my 10" tablet everywhere. So gradually I took my tablet to only very essential places and it in turn I could not be online whenever I required. 2. Dialling in dumb phone was not as easy as in smartphone, due to super smart dialling. It felt like going back to olden age. 3. Sending SMS was cumbersome in dumb phone . 4. The most important point to me was the call quality. The latest smartphones have superior voice clarity, which an ordinary phone can never offer. The above points made me to switch over to smartphone again.
  5. 2 days back when I switched on my Nexus S, it got stuck up in the starting screen 'Google'. So I removed the battery and again switched it on. It started to work. Yesterday in the afternoon, suddenly it froze and again I had to remove the battery and and then switch it on again. Afterwards it was working fine. But today morning (After switching off in the night and charging it), when I switch on, it moves from 'Google' screen to the colourful display and gets struck up there. The colour keeps on splashing and it gets stuck up there. I remove the battery and again try to restart. The same problem. My phone is in latest Android 4.0.4 What to do? !. If the phone cannot be revived immediately, what are my options to use my number? What should I tell in the webworld to change this no. to a SIM? And in future, if the Nexus S is corrected, how can I switch back no. to it? 2. What decent SIM based phones are available IMMEDIATELY, both in our forum and in market? Please help guys

  8. Apple iPhone 5 & iOS6 discussion

If you think with your Brain, then you will never buy Iphone. You have so many better options. But Iphone is status symbol. People buy just to say they have Iphone. People like us who love to play with devices and not just to show off will never buy an Iphone. Iphone is a good phone, but never worth its price.

  13. Nowadays phones are not just phones. They are trying to be camera, laptop, navigation device, and so many. The 2 main problem due to this is, 1.Battery back up 2. Size and weight of the phone increases. I basically want a phone to, 1. Speak a lot - Good audio quality with noise cancellation, etc. and also good speakerphone. 2. Good battery backup to provide lot of talktime 3. SMS - I also sms a lot. 4. Size should be slim and phone should not be heavy. 5. Budget should be reasonable upto Rs.15,000/-. I am currently using Nokia E55 similiar to E52 - http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_e52-2792.php, which fulfills all my above requirements. But now when I plan to change this phone, I am not able to find any in GSM or CDMA. I do not mind if extra features are there, but the above features are must. Do not want low end phones or chinese, because the audio quality is poor in many which causes pain in ear for continuous use. They are loud but not clear and soft to ear Friends please suggest any GSM or CDMA
  14. Please Suggest Good Phone

Thanks Genius. Kanaga - Thanks for offering your phone for my hands on preview. Surely the price pulls me. It seems really value for the money. Only thing is it has a qwerty keyboard(which I dont require) and is bit heavy. But since I can feel it in hand, I can decide after that. Can you make this work for my RCDMA? To be frank,I do not know whether I will be able to help you from your wife's scolding , since I have still not decided on this phone. I am just exploring the option given by you.
  15. Please Suggest Good Phone

^^^ But the price is too high from my budget Kanaga. That is why I left out his phone. A slight relaxation in my budget can be done, but not this much.

  17. Help: Samsung Galaxy Nexus S (CDMA) Not Switching On

Dear Parin, I flashed the firmware with ODIN as instructed in the website link provided by you. The flash was fine, the ODIN said PASS and my phone re-started. But no change - still the same problem. keeps on re-booting - Google screen comes colour flashes and again it goes back to Google screen. Any other option? Even Shadikk was online today and tried to Flash it through Team viewer. But no improvement and could not figure out. He has asked me to courier the phone. Hope it gets solved. Meanwhile Thanks very much for Parin, Shadikk and Kalpesh.
