    The Delivery report is working well in Nokia and low end Samsung phones. Even I have tried GO SMS Pro, still I do not get delivery reports for SMS.

They said they had wrongly sent to my CDMA no. and right now it is only available for RGSM and it is called THALA PLAN. Seems like a limited period offer to pull and keep customers in network for 6 months and make them accustomed to use data

    It seems RCOM is copying Aircel a lot in TN. Aircel also has Rs.33 voucher, which offers 3000 L & N SMS. Aircel has the Rs.79 voucher, which offers local onnet at 10p/min or 1/6p per sec - This voucher has also been launched by RCOM Also RCOM has tie up with Aircel to use Aircel towers where RGSM does not have coverage. So something happening between RCOM and Aircel
  9. 2 of my relatives (both ladies) are interested in HTC Rhyme -GSM. Only PLUM colour. New and BNIB with all accessories. When I searched the net I found various quotes from Rs.17,000 to Rs.25,000. I do not know which site to rely on. Also the low quoted sites did not have PLUM colour. Kindly provide me quote or guide me where I can reliably buy. Thanks in advance.

  11. Hai Friends, My mother requires a phone, which she uses mainly as a voice recorder other than for voice calls. She used to go to hear some religious speeches and records them using the voice recorder. The voice recording capacity should be for more than 3 hours continuous and the phone should be able to support 8 gb card, so that she can have many recordings like that. The recordings also needs to transferred to PC for storage and hearing in PC also. She also hears the speech while in home using the phone's speaker. So a phone with multiple speakers is preferred. No other features are used by my mother. She was already having Nokia X2 http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_x2-3304.php . The only problem in this is it allows only 1 hour of continuous voice recording. Now she has lost this phone. So I need to buy another one. So please suggest some suitable phone please. No touch screens please.
  12. Nokia X2-02 fulfills all the requirements. It has a very loud speaker. It also has a FM transmitter. Voice Recording when stored in SD card, it shows continuous 18 hour recording. Price also low at Rs.3k Battery is good. It is dual sim phone (but no use for my mother) She is very happy with X2-02 Thanks guys for all your suggestion
  13. The main problem is the amount of time we need to waste to get back the amount. Congrats Rajan for taking the pain. Even I fight till I get the amount looted. This is a sad thing happening with all operators( even BSNL). TRAI should come with some strict penality, like Rs.10,000 per wrong deduction, then only we can see some change in attitude of the operators

  15. Idea TN has announced differential tariffs for using the mobile in Idea coveraged towns and other ICR (Intra circle Roaming) towns. For example, in Voucher RC14, all local mobile calls will be charged 30p in Idea towns and 40p in ICR. The list of Idea towns and ICR are provided in their website. So here afterwards, the coverage of GSM services will improve dramatically even though we need to pay a little more. How will our RCDMA react to this? Because there are places in Tamilnadu, where RCDMA has no coverage and GSM operators are there.

  18. Nokia X2 and X2-02 suit very aptly to my mother's requirement except that it only voice records to a maximum of 1 hour. Even though there is plenty of space in SD card and the recording stores in SD card only. Is there any other application for Symbian S40 which allows unlimited voice recording? For S60 there are many

  20. ^^^ The only problem with C5 is just one speaker phone. So audio output is not loud in speaker phone. Nokia X2 gave tremendous volume through speaker phones Then C2-3 is touch phone. So I avoided it.
  21. Much needed regulation. When pay channels were introduced, it was informed that there will be no adv breaks. But today even after paying for channels, it is mere frustration when we watch a movie. So nowadays, I just record the movie in my DVR and watch it at my convenience, skipping the adv breaks

  23. As Garry rightly pointed out, 3G tie is not possible till the case gets cleared in TDSAT. Then today I checked a RGSM pre-paid card. There was no change. Even when RGSM signal vanishes, it does not hook up to Aircel. Also even manually u r not able to use Aircel signal. So is the tie-up still not completed?

  25. Dear Kanaga - does it show Docomo logo or Aircel logo when your Docomo links to Aircel tower?
