used a sony initially till it developed a buffer under-run problem within 4 months of usage... it was replaced twice by the company till the end of the first year but eventually died in abt 12 months of me buying the first one... moved to samsung otcoedge +DL dvd burner... seemed good to work with but in the past two months, just as the one year warranty got over, it statred having a dvd burning error... it starts formatting the disk as some bookcase type and evetually fails to burn... burns cds though so pretty confusing... pls advise what do i replace this one with... need something dependable as i end up buring close to 15-20 dvds in a month easily...

all you need ashok is mobbler. its a last.fm service based radio where u can hear songs from the artists u choose... moreover as u go along hearing, it keeps a track of ur favourites, suggesting tracks that u might like... my brother uses it all the time on his E71 and i use something similar on my iphone... its truly amazing... just google it for ur phone..

I doubt we're gonna be having a dream service provider anytime soon... I appreciate rcom for having ushered in the mobile revolution making it possible for my driver and maid to afford mobile phones too... All talk aside, I doubt anyone parting with reliance would be easy, unless deeply troubled! It's like that famous SRK quote "you may love me or hate me but can never ignore me" and hence the case with rcom... You're just gonna have to have it... Even of just one and that too for incoming only ;-)

iT's strange how in a boquet of service providers, it's only airtel and rcon that seem to be the ones compared and discussed... My network journey has been fairly limited... Started with essar cellphones (now hutch) when it launched in Lucknow to rcom when it was launched here... Recently bought a Bsnl for GPRS essentially but all in all I am a satisfied customer with rcom

can somebody please clarify what airtel digital tv charges are for multi room? i want the gold welcome offer upfront 2500 along with two extra stbs... worked as follows for a whole year... i have taken 249 as the base plan along with two multi room Connection 2500 2nd STB 2500 3rd STB 2500 249 Pack 1494 (6 months free with offer plus rs.1494 for the rest 6 months) Addon 1140 (Cine plus@35, Espn plus@45 and Ten Sports@15 totalling 1140 for the year) Multi Room 1200 (2x99x6 = 1200 as first six months comes in the offer) Credit 1000 (towards future topups) Discount 300 (by the dealer) Total 10034 next year 5328 (249+95+99+99)x12 monthly 444 is this correct... there are conflicting statements from cust care and dealers... one says multi room @ 99 and base pack applies by default top ups for each tv extra... the other says u need to pay base pack for each tv so 3x249. one suggests topups apply to all and multi room only pay 99 per tv... pretty darn confusing...

for cdma handsets just as kshah mentioned it can b made to work on tata if u know spc .... for iphone if u r considering iphone first generation than yes u can unlock it ....as far as iphone 3g goes no unlocking solution is yet available for it......but the news is that iphone dev team has almost rigged the baseband so the unlocking solution will b out anytime soon ....so if u want u can get it .... so if i get an iphone 2G it will be easily be unlocked but not the iphone 3G right???....and can anyone plz tell me where can i get a turbo sim... better still... if u are getting a 2g iphone with a v2.1 firmware then u neednt even bother unlocking it as it automatically works with the airtel and vodafone network... besides getting a 3g iphone till u have 3g networks here seems like an overprice waste when u can get almost all the features from the 2g one but for gps... think about it !

hiccups though with unlocking so far... u can use radio options like calling and texting but smart functions like gmail and all dont work yet...
