  1. i read those posts... i guess battery has always been an issue with all smartphones and pdas and specially if theyre running windows mobile... large screen, heavy processor, and greater number of running processes as compared to just a phone... i used the xv6700 and with a lot of battery conservation i used to only notch 1/2 a day on a charge... but ppl i know with the same phone and a li-poly battery could get more juice out of their rigs... all said, if ur planning to go for a win mob phone over ur nokia then be prepared to keep ur charger handy always...
  2. well i havnt used both to comment... but having used win mob i feel its sluggish for getting work done... cant say abt linux though...
  3. Bsnl Tariff(mp)

pretty detailed... think the plans would be similar all over india...
  4. Bsnl Launched Ev-do

has somebody tested these for the speed...
  5. no need to configure Sitansu... this works out of the box with both gsm and cdma sim cards...
  6. Saurav on the contrary... li-poly is being touted as being the next step after li-ion batteries... some of our forum members have used it with 6700 and for the size of a regular stock battery, they've had almost 1.25 times the battery power...
  7. Windows Mobile 7.0

i think we should let it hit the market before speculating on whether it fits our phone or not... to state an example... 6700 was always thought to have not supported win mob 6 but those geniuses at ppcgeeks made it possible... ofcourse there would be riders like slow processing and non-optimum usage of resources when one shifts OS from what the phone was designed around... but then expect the unexpected...
  8. Usb Data Card- Relaince/tata Or Airtel

food for thought... or better still we can have an opinion poll on this one... i have (from experience and from reading posts here) come to understand that the speed of browsing over cdma is better than that over gsm somehow... not to say that reliance is fast but just that its better than aritel... i happened to have compared both these services using data cards on my laptop with similar situations... i get full signals of both these service at my place so i assume its fair to have compared... but Abhishek... incase u can, do try ur hands at some if not all of these services before u buy... maybe use the sales rep's card or something and compare for urself in ur vicinity...
  9. interesting... reliance seems to be in talks with ORANGE for a similar offering and brand positioning...
  10. yeah that too is a concern really as big as this news sounds... i read somewhere that effective change it brings to a 1 minute call charged at 1 re is to take it to 93 paise... although this is unconfirmed and off one of the forums...
  11. Hp-touch-20273.a

i feel like singing (without scaring most away ) AZEEMO SHAAN SHEHANSHAH... for you man... your in this constant strife to improve the reliance mobile feel for us... hats off to your drive buddy ! another set of
  12. Few operators have already committed to pass on the benefit to the consumer... as far as i can see it would be a dog race again with almost everyone following and trying to outdo the other... so this could bring on a new low for the local and std calling rates which is good... but IMHO where trai should put its foot down is in setting standards of quality service and customer satisfaction... there should be a yardstick for the operators to conform to like negligible call drops and faster call connect... transparent accounting and billing and a better cust care support. the indian telecom industry being a behemoth that it is needs to enforce these checks sooner than later if it wants the big bucks to continue... it should choose to ride on better customer satisfaction with high arpus than just a larger customer base with lower arpus and a lot of cust heartburn... long way to go...
  13. now the catch here my friend is to look for an "UNLOCKED" phone... which translates into a phone only offer... unlike one bundled with a subscription contract of 1 or two years hence subsidizing the cost of phone... so in all probability buying one directly from a carrier like sprint/nextel/verizon/alltel will come with a plan and hence a puny value. u can buy unlocked phones off ebay.com and other websites... just attach the word unlocked to your search.
  14. yes... it is also known by two other names... htc/utstarcom is the company manufacturing these phones out of taiwan. then different cellphone/carrier companies co-brand and customize these phones as their own and hence they co-exist with various names albeit being similar broadly...
  15. Voyager 855 Rocks The Headset World

  16. Voyager 855 Rocks The Headset World

    i am selling.... sold !
  17. it has to be one of the add-ons mate... i am using the same version with a lot of add-ons and no such problem... there is one thing that i face however, at times when a pop up window opens, i cant resize it and hence part of it stays unseen... switching back to IE with the same pop up resolves it but then i have a lot more reasons to stick to firefox for so i am not leaving it anytime soon... u should try the fox 3 beta... its even more intutive...
  18. u can do a little research... for now till u get one i can assure u it works... me already using one... and happy to be

hey sadik... sprint already selling this phone nd a few available on ebay.com... maybe while u getting the 6800 u could also get these... http://cgi.ebay.com/BRAND-NEW-SPRINT-TOUCH...1QQcmdZViewItem
  21. ^^^ Dear Rajesh... its strange but true that signals have never been a problem here in lucknow somehow... have been using reliance since the first week of its launch here in lko...
  22. unless you a big fan of dreamy responses that the windows OS generates (having used one) i would urge you (and second kshah) on the shift to palm for battery, reliability and ease of usage. but then u gotta figure out your priority first... u need to also remember that reliance, just like any other resource hungry cdma network, needs a lot from your phone... and u barely get to exploit it cause the battery never lasts... i, for one,am happy to have moved on to the treo 700p and can finally do all that i wanted with my phone...
  23. How To Take A Perfect Pose.

finest piece of work i saw all day !
  24. what a step backwards... wrong hole to snoop for terrorist activities... this medium i am sure has already been used, abused and moved on from by those smarties... such a pity indeed...
