Tanveer... i am surprised u were able to use anything but IE for browsing using Rworld previously... its becoz rworld runs thru proxy that is set only thru IE... so ur outlook or opera wont really work unless u use netconnect...

had to happen !!!! just look around... the cost of ownership of a computer has to come down... i bought my first desktop in 1993, compaq, and it costed me the world then... to now when where ever u see... u see tfts and laptops... having said that, this option ends up being useful for those hating to lug seemingly bulky 14" laptops now... mostly frequent travellers... i wonder how it integrates with schoolbags and office desks...

consider it as a flowchart... IDENTIFICATION OF NEED/USAGE | BUDGET | DESIRED/RELEVANT/AVAILABLE CONFIG | ASSEMBLED/BRANDED now once u have these in mind... make your decision... adding to what arun has suggested above, buying whats 'IN' or 'LATEST', instead buy what u can exploit(read put to full use)... there are a lot of great things... depends whether their greatness applys and aligns to ur need... so give us an insight into how u plan to use the comp and everyone here would be willing to help u decide then...

this iphone dialer theme wont let u have smart dialing... try the htc retouched dialer theme that has smart dialer working(search for my posts in either hetal's release b or c and i think i have posted the eten dialer which also has smart dial working)... like shub said earlier and in my first post when i posted this iphone theme... well smart dialing is something u need to sacrifice for this theme.... as for the soft keys.... well again there are a lot of freeware sites which would let u change the two keys by dling a small cab and configuring it... new menu is one such application... as for claunch... well it aint a part of spb shell... u can get it on these freeware or ppc download sites and other similar programs too...

well rakesh... that is pretty subjective... to most it might seem better... moto Q boasts a sexy, ultrathin design and features a sharp display, a full QWERTY keyboard, EV-DO support, and a sharp multimedia functionality. however it lacks wi-fi and to me seems like almost carrying a calculator (again thats just me)... so one needs to take ones own call at it...

config looks good... u could add in a graphics card (other than intel) if allowed customization... again depending upon ur use... besides this might end up being a bulky machine... i wont be one to comment on legalities... i had the option of having mine lugged to India on my frnds back...

would have tried it but am on linux these days so my phone is off the cable good effort... just one thing though... since most of the ppl here are on reliance... they might miss the customizations built for reliance... moreover ud have to do a lot of registry tweaks after uploading this rom... maybe mention a few of those too in ur post... would be helpful for those trying the rom

ditto... just that there are a number of times when it goes into hybernation nd comes back after 5mins... but pretty consistent provided the phone line is disturbance/static free...

yeah imagine... and we still side with reliance... i think its purely because of its network being alive even while the others are dead... i am happy so far having got my hands on to the ppc6700 thanks to hetal !

i have just that when ur phone wakes up from suspend mode it gets a tad bit slower

Dhiraj... this new release d of hetals is based on the rom u mention in ur post... hetal has done the hardwork of combining the new core from these roms and adding other oems and then fine tuning it to reliance... so all in all hes already got us over and above these roms... besides those extrom reliance files are there thanks to hetal !!!

I really wonder how effective this would be... even though I'd register as soon as this toll free number comes out ! its just how these telemarketers would find some way of invading our sleep... they have simply mastered the art of not letting go

having used this release for around two weeks now i feel that there aint any serious issues... i mean once the phoneservice.log issue has been tackled, it pretty much runs stable... battery wise i somehow feel that release c was a tad bit better... other views are welcome...

^^^^ and get what out of it ??? heartburn ? its better still to learn single handedly and move on... besides nokia would continue to mint cause they have identified and attached themselves with the needs of the indian consumers... when the consumer is ready to be fooled and had... why should nokia or any other company relent...

@Amit... glad to hear it finally worked for u... have u seen any improvements... @John... using total commander replace PhoneExt_Service.dll from \windows folder with the file available in the zip from where u quoted me. once done come abck to the root folder and find PhoneExt_Service.log and delete it. hit reset and that should pretty much take care of it !

its how it keeps the cpu from keeping on logging that saves the battery from draining...
