Gaurav... upgraded to the new version of the radio... hapened smoothly... what changes/improvements to expect ?
  2. Xcpu Scalar Andpower Consumption

hey kalpak... i read thru a load of posts on both ppcgeeks and pdaphonehome and my understanding of it suggests: 1. there is a resident scalar in the ppc and it scales between 100-416 range 2. xcpuscalar, when set on autoscale fights constantly with this scalar and hence even in hybernation there is a battery draw 3. overclocking with xcpuscalar at 520 levels boosts speeds and is pretty stable with a marginally extra draw on battery 4. the developer of this software therefore suggests one shoud clock the cpu at a fixed speed and let it run there instead of autoscaling it 5. our ppc without the scalar runs at around 108 most of the time and hence the sluggish nature of the same 6. i ran this constantly at around 520 speeds and saw a good improvement in speed and the battery lasted decently for me. though i chose to let the ppc run on its original scaling. im okay with a little slow ppc rather than letting my battery defeat me on a days work... ur thoughts...

  11. How Much Does Your Battery Last On 6700 ?

two things... wifi drains battery big time... secondly ur network coverage... apart from these if ur backlight on battery is at low brightness and shuts off 30 sec mein then it should last a day and more... calling doesnt take too much battery... tip... when on call power off the phone with the power button while in call... and no dont even think abt comparing a gsm phone to a cdma one as far as battery goes...
  12. yes some issue with 3.5.4.B which shall be resolved tomo morning
  13. dito... upgraded it twice myself... to no avail... hung at splashscreen... with static in place of the image file...
  14. Can Not Run Net With Wifi On 6700

    dito for the thought !
  15. Xcpu Scalar Andpower Consumption

kshah... found this somewhere... see if u could corelate... TEST RESULTS First some notes about how these next two tests were run. My iPaq2215 was used in both runs using only battery power. The storage cards (1 512Mb CF and 1 256Mb SD) card were left in the unit. Initially Today screen programs were disabled (until both tests were completed). Before each individual test, the unit was put through a soft reset, the password was entered, and WisBar was exited. Then the test was started. The unit was not touched (even to turn on the backlight to check status) until all tests were completed. Then the data was transferred to the PC, and the next test was run (using the same procedure). Both tests had XCPUScalar running. The first test locked in the CPU speed at 400MHz (the normal speed for my 2215) and will be displayed in BLUE while the second test used the Auto Scale feature and the settings shown in the "Advanced Tab" screenshot and will be displayed in GREEN. The testing program used was Spb Benchmark. Test Run 1 - 400MHz Spb Benchmark Index - Score 1096.8 Test Run 1 - 400MHz CPU Index - Score 1781.2 Test Run 2 - Spb Benchmark Index - Score 1272.5 Test Run 2 - CPU Index - Score 2206.1 Note the 175.7 point increase on the Benchmark Index and the 424.9 point increase on the CPU Index.

telus is however the canadian cdma so hetal might be trying his hands at it to make it work... he says its a task at hand
  17. Can Not Run Net With Wifi On 6700

like tanveer said... first enable wifi on ur ppc and see if it even picks up ur ssid(router signal)... if it does however u cant coonect then that implies that ur router aint configured to enable a dhcp client or has a security protocol ur ppc aint passing... like a network key or something... see these settings and post back here if the problem still exists... FYI wifi would work no matter what... i mean more than the rom its the radio thats involved... so oi wouldnt think anyboday's rom we flash with might make the difference... i might have tried almost all the roms from here and ppcgeeks and wifi works for me anyhow and everytime !
  18. Ppc Bluetooth And Reliance Netconnect

Internet Sharing works both with USB tethering and Bluetooth PAN, however, USB tethering will NOT work if Bluetooth is enabled. To use Internet Sharing via USB tethering, use the Comm Manager to turn off Bluetooth, run Internet sharing, hit connect and only after these steps are complete, plug the device in to the USB port. The host computer should then identify the HTC Apache as a network adapter and obtain an IP address. I am not certain but this process may require that activesync is installed on the host computer. To use Internet Sharing via Bluetooth PAN, turn on Bluetooth, run Internet Sharing, hit connect and then use your host computer's bluetooth program to discover and pair with the HTC Apache. I know that this information has already been discussed and posted elsewhere but it took me a while to find it reading through bug reports etc... embeded in 10-20 page long topics.
