totally non connected but i have been on the EC05plus for over two months now and in all this time everytime i have tried playing any videos, the phone hangs, whether from you tube or video player... any tips

i have been using nod32 for almost 3yrs now and it works the best with old and new machines alike. pretty light weight and updates daily.

@all The date display prob is owing to the font used in this stock rom. The rom I have posted a few posts above is pretty awesome and optimized. It is stock with all nuances removed...

profile creation is done by using the first use app on pixi plus. ensure ur in wifi when u do so

precisely... it requires a deodexed kernel. thats the reason csmart is getting the error. for trial sake u may wanna download the pre rooted, deodexed ec05 from xda. odin it and then use this icon mod... it will work without any issues.

this usually happens when there is a kernel mismatch... maybe the selection is different from ur installed one

There has to be some other issue... I am rooted with cwm 2.5.5 on ec05

Epic is beautiful no doubt. Perhaps the most powerful phone on cdma presently. If bought from one of the sellers on the forum here, the phone would be provisioned for activation with reliance. If you look hard enough you might find one with evdo data provisioned too. However, changing networks with it might not be entirely possible. So only if you're sure you want reliance call and data provisioned epic then search in the buy sell forum.

Strangely so... I feel the same happening... thanks to my baby girl I have been keeping my phone on silent mode... but this morning it just didn't vibrate when a call came... it got me wndering and now reading this... ahhhh

rooting is straight fwd. download the clockwork mod rooting tool 2.5.5 from xda and just let it weave its magic. the process cant be any simpler. as for DK, he would urge me to burn EC05, but would never root !!!!

i have had enough... back to di18... i realised i couldnt stay without rooting...

I got notification for update at noon but have refrained. @Rishi, the radio programming is nothing more than just factory restoring all data and radio settings and then frshly loading ur data dump based on evdo or 1x. It has nothing to do with which version of android u were or are on. This was essentially to clean the slate and see if any settings to enable data done previously on our part, is forcing resets. @all, I have evdo, and will take one last attempt at upgrading to ec05 and report back.

That may be a valid observation. I guess the resetting has coincided with my evdo resuming

the glitches include hardware keyboard still skipping letters while typing. touch wiz freezes for a lot of users... etc... i guess i might change the phone before it gets froyo LOLZ...

i am going back to di18 with eb13 radio... period !!! have a deodexed, zipaligned stock di18... thats what i am gonna stick to now for sometime !
