Indore: In a development which is probably the first of its kind in the country, BSNL's Indore division on Wednesday launched a wi-fi technology module for cars which will enable people to use Internet while they are travelling. A wi-fi technology module which costs around Rs 5000 to Rs 6000 was first installed on an experimental basis in the official car of BSNL Indore unit's General Manager GC Pandey. Pandey said that this was probably the first model in the country where the car has an antenna which receives wi-fi signals with a 3.5 mbps speed, from an exchange based on CDMA technology. no idea if this app is posted here, but every root user should have this Greenify *ROOT* The app itself acts like a bit of a task killer, hunting down applications that may be active in memory but not being used. This app, however, uses a different method to kill an app. The method used here not only disables the apps, but it prevents it from coming back to life, which is the failing point of most app killers. There are other ways to achieve a similar result, such as using the freezing feature of Titanium Backup, which essentially completely disables the app temporarily. However, using this approach also disables your ability to use said app. Greenify uses a method known as am force-stop pkgname as opposed to the commonly used kill. The app hunts for alarms and active ServiceRecords, which act as restore points for the app being killed and gets rid of them. for M, with sqlite > The path will be "data/user/0/com.motorola.android.providers.settings/databases" So select data > user > 0 > com.motorola.android.providers.settings > databases > settings.db > settings After selecting settings a list will pop up. You can do one of two things. Tap the magnifying glass and type "entitlement_check" and search for that, or scroll down to line 68 (yours may be a different line) and select it. Tap the pencil icon. You will see a new screen that has _id "auto", name "entitlement_check", and value "1". Change the "1" to a "0". Hit save. SQLite Editor Allows you to edit and delete records in any SQLite database on your phone. For root users, lists all installed apps which have local internal databases. You can then select an app and edit any of its databases. Fully integrated with Root Explorer. When browsing files in Root Explorer, selecting a database file automatically launches this app instead of the database viewer that is built into Root Explorer. Non-root users can browse and edit databases on the SD card. Data is displayed in a smooth scrollable grid and records can be filtered on any field value. on stock JB now , few cosmetic changes , interface is smoother and much more polished. camera app now starts a lot faster, gallery is also updated, new dailler is ok but i miss the bluetooth option while the call was on , but yes phone has becomefaster i was apprehensive since the last ICS update made my phone stock but this time , everything was intact, i only lost my number setting. also root got restored with voodoo OTA, so all ended well. EVDO working fine

surprisingly note 2 verizon and HTC DNA is not on offer on RIMweb but a few reputed sellers have it for sale privately. hope S4 comes soon but would love it more if its a global phone.

After having a great run in Google Play for a long time, Ad Blocking Android apps are now in trouble. Google has started removing several popular Ad blocking apps like AdBlock Plus, AdBlocker, AdAway and AdFree from Google Play recently. Google Play team notified the developers of such apps via email regarding the removal. According to Google, such apps violate the section 4.4 of the Developer Distribution Agreement. Here is the text of section of dev agreement in question: .4 Prohibited Actions. You agree that you will not engage in any activity with the Market, including the development or distribution of Products, that interferes with, disrupts, damages, or accesses in an unauthorized manner the devices, servers, networks, or other properties or services of any third party including, but not limited to, Android users, Google or any mobile network operator. You may not use customer information obtained from the Market to sell or distribute Products outside of the Market. The Android users, who currently have these apps installed, can continue to use them however as the apps are no longer in Google Play, they will not get updates. Some of the devs also let users to download the app APK files from their websites, so other consumers who wish to get Ad blocking apps for their Android devices can always get them.
