The world may have caught a glimpse of the first, Google-powered mobile phone, after a senior executive appeared inadvertently to show it off in public yesterday - a week before its expected launch. The new mobile, called ?Dream?, will use Android, Google?s new software for mobile phones, and will be manufactured by Taiwanese manufacturer HTC. It will be available exclusively on the T-Mobile network in the UK. It is thought that the phone will be available to buy as early as November, which would spark a fierce battle for customers with the Apple iPhone over the Christmas period. Google, which is notoriously secretive about new technology before it launches, would not confirm or deny whether the executive had shown off the new phone. Seen yesterday by The Times at the Google Developer Day event at Wembley Stadium, the touchscreen device looked much like released photographs of the Dream. When asked to make a phone call on the Android phone, Mike Jennings, the Google executive who demonstrated the device, said: ?I can?t show it off any more, I?ll be out of a job.? It is thought the new handset will have a slide-out Qwerty keyboard as well as built-in GPS (global positioning system). The phone is expected to be able to run Google?s range of web applications, including Gmail, Google Docs and Google Maps, and will likely also feature Google?s new web browser, Chrome. A source close to the launch was reported as saying that the company expects to ship 600,000 to 700,000 units of the new phone this year, whereas analysts have put the figure at 300,000 to 500,000 units. does LG RD 10000 / voyager have FM

FM is a necessity coz i travel frequently and hate listening to stored music. i dont believe in ipod n stuff. i hv DAPO but browsing charges are too high as i found out in this forum. thou my company pays the bill, and i am not answerable as such, but still i dont want any fingers to be raised later. anyways since i wont get the 3 features combined in one phone , i will go in for fm + touchscreen. what say ????

All of a sudden my phone has gone mute ????? I cant hear any ringtones, seems there is some problem with the speakers any suggestions to help my 6265 from dying....

I think there is s/w problem in 6265 coz... even I hv got similar...like camera not workin..thn went to Nokia care, they gave me repaired after 15 daysJuz visit Nokia care...n get it repaired...ASAP15 days :NOTriste: anyways seems luck is with me, i tapped the phone with my fingers and bingo the phone is ok again.am thinking of buying a hammer now

Same problem with me, but Nokia Service centre asked me to keep my handset for 15 days to get it repaired so I avoid that thing & using my handset without that button. 15 days the only service station in delhi is in okhla which is abt 20kms from my place. on top if that they say u will hv to leave the handset for a minimum 5 days or more depending on the prob? who the phuck can live/work without a phone for so many days ..had it been a sim, I cud have changed the same..but now with CDMA u r phucking caught in NO MAN'S LAND.

phucking 6265 the camera button on the left side has stopped working

they discontinued it long back but i managed to get it 3 months back be in touch with the reliance guys. I made a request there and got the phone within a week as soon as someone surrendered it.

yes it is possible u need to switch on Flash thru the options while in camera/video mode press the lower part of the navigation box bingo, ur flash wud remain on till u dont press it again

i too had some problems with my 6265 but the nokia customer care acted very promptly and my prob was solved in no time maybe this is an advantage of staying in the capital

I got a friend working in Reliance, who said that, his friend got his 6265 software upgraded and the coloured pixels on the camera and the resetting of tones in all profiles, on change of themes, got fixed. I am still waiting for the exact version details... good news

I downloaded both the games on my 6265 but they play in avery small box on the top left of my screen How to make them play on the full screen?

the prob got rectified the prob was with the drivers i uninstalled the earlier one ( d/l'ed from the cd) and downloaded a new set for CA 53 from the web on connecting the phone, the comp detected 6265, gave the link to the new drives atleast 4 times and bingo giving the driver link for the benefit of other members - Nokia provide a universal installation software for their USB data cables: Nokia connectivity cable driver. Though it comes with the Nokia PC Suite, we recommend installing this driver separately. It supports Nokia DKE-2, DKU-2, CA-42, CA-53, CA-70.
